No Saints players led their positions in 2024 Pro Bowl Games fan voting

No current New Orleans Saints players led their positions in fan voting for the 2024 Pro Bowl Games, but two of their former teammates did:

This is tough. No current New Orleans Saints players led their positions in fan voting for the 2024 Pro Bowl Games, but two of their former teammates did while playing for other teams: New York Jets punter Thomas Morstead and Miami Dolphins left tackle Terron Armstead both led the AFC in fan votes at their positions.

Maybe the Saints shouldn’t have let them go. Morstead was teammates with Armstead in Miami last year, but he’s continuing to play at a high level in the years since the Saints cut him to open the door for his successor Blake Gillikin. Gillikin was also released earlier this year in favor of Lou Hedley, who has experienced an up-and-down rookie year in the NFL.

As for Armstead: the Saints’ uncertainty at left tackle speaks for itself, though his situation was more complicated. On top of the serious salary cap implications involved, Armstead’s injury history made it tough to justify re-signing him. Even if they had kept Armstead, they would need an expensive insurance policy. Injuries have limited him to just 9 games this season for the Dolphins.

Fan voting is just one part of the process — coaches and the players themselves will also have ballots, so it’s possible some Saints players end up making the cut. And there’s always the possibility they can get in as alternates should starters opt out or are unavailable while playing in the Super Bowl. The NFL announced positional leaders in fan votes on Wednesday, with the AFC and NFC player rosters scheduled for release at 7 p.m. CT on NFL Network and NFL+.

Final update on Chiefs players in Pro Bowl Games fan voting

A total of four #Chiefs players were AFC leaders at their respective positions in the final tally of Pro Bowl Games fan voting.

The NFL has tallied the votes after the conclusion of Pro Bowl Games fan voting.

Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes finished No. 3 overall with 271,541 votes and TE Travis Kelce finished No. 5 overall with 248,279 votes. The Chiefs finished fifth overall in total Pro Bowl Games votes behind the Philadelphia Eagles, Miami Dolphins, Minnesota Vikings and San Francisco 49ers.

A total of four players were AFC leaders at their respective positions in the final tally of votes, including Kelce, LB Nick Bolton (136,342), C Creed Humphrey (133,683), and KR Isiah Pacheco (117,314). Remember, fan voting is only one-third of the voting process tallied. Votes from NFL coaches and players will count toward the other two-thirds of the vote.

Last season, Humphrey was the leader for the AFC at the center position when fan voting concluded, yet he was snubbed of Pro Bowl selection. Hopefully, this year will be different for Humphrey and others, but we’ll have to wait just a little longer to find out. AFC and NFC rosters won’t officially be announced until Wednesday, Dec. 21 at 8:00 PM ET on NFL Network.

Should Bolton, Humphrey and Pacheco be chosen, it would mark their first career Pro Bowl selections. For Mahomes, it would be his fifth consecutive year with a Pro Bowl. For Kelce, it would be his eighth consecutive year heading to the Pro Bowl.

The 2023 Pro Bowl Games is a new week-long format featuring various skill competitions. It will culminate in a 7-on-7 AFC vs. NFC Flag Football game on Sunday, February 5 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Newest update on Chiefs players in Pro Bowl Games fan voting

Pro Bowl Games fan voting closes tomorrow. Here is an update on where #Chiefs players currently stand.

The NFL has tallied the votes and released its latest update on Pro Bowl Games fan voting.

Fan voting officially comes to a close tomorrow, so be sure to get your votes in Chiefs Kingdom. Both Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes and TE Travis Kelce remain among the NFL’s top 5 players in Pro Bowl Games fan voting. Mahomes currently has 172,400 votes and Kelce 170,034. Tua Tagovailoa still leads the AFC in the QB position with 182,118 votes.

Chiefs DT Chris Jones was previously the AFC’s leader at the defensive tackle position, but New York Jets DT Quinnen Williams has since passed him with 121,509 votes. Only four Chiefs players — Kelce, C Creed Humphrey (68,851), LB Nick Bolton (93,844) and KR Isiah Pacheco (74,884) are among those who currently lead their positions in Pro Bowl Games fan voting. As a team, Kansas City has the fifth-most Pro Bowl votes behind the Minnesota Vikings, San Franciso 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles and Miami Dolphins.

Keep in mind, this is just one part of the process. Humphrey was the leader for the AFC at the center position when fan voting concluded in 2021, yet he was snubbed of Pro Bowl selection. Fan voting only counts for a third of the Pro Bowl Games selection process, with player and coach voting counting toward the other two-thirds of the vote.

Fans can vote directly on Twitter for one more day by tweeting the first and last name of the player, the player’s official Twitter handle, or a hashtag including the player’s first and last name. All three of these methods must include the hashtag #ProBowlVote. Retweets count as double for Pro Bowl games fan voting beginning Wednesday, Dec. 14.

Chiefs TE Travis Kelce second place in Pro Bowl fan voting

With over 120,000 votes, #Chiefs TE Travis Kelce has ascended to second place in Pro Bowl fan voting.

Pro Bowl Fan voting has been underway for two weeks now.

Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce came in third place after the first week of voting. Now, with the second week of votes tallied up, Kelce has added over 42,000 new votes. That brings Kelce’s total to 121,807 votes, jumping Los Angeles Rams WR Cooper Kupp for second place in Pro Bowl fan voting. Indianapolis Colts RB Jonathan Taylor still ranks No. 1 with 126,381 votes.

Kelce is now trending toward his seventh consecutive selection to the Pro Bowl, joining some rare company as the only players to accomplish such a feat. Kelce isn’t the only one in Kansas City doing well in the Pro Bowl fan voting, though.

After having the fourth-most votes among NFL clubs through Week 1 of fan voting, Chiefs players now have the third-most votes among all players in Pro Bowl fan voting. Kelce and Orlando Brown Jr. are currently the only two players from Kansas City to lead their positions. That means players like Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, Tyrann Mathieu, Chris Jones, Creed Humphrey and others still need your help to reach the Pro Bowl. Their goal remains to play in a different game in February, but a Pro Bowl nod makes a significant difference in a player’s post-playing legacy.

Fans can now vote for the Pro Bowl on Twitter using the hashtag #ProBowlFanVote. To cast your vote, fans should tweet the first and last name of the player, the player’s official Twitter handle, or a hashtag including the player’s first and last name. This lasts through December 16.

Rosters will be announced live on NFL Network’s “Pro Bowl Special” and on ESPN’s “Monday Night Countdown” on Monday, December 20 at 7:00 PM ET. The 2022 Pro Bowl will be played at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Sunday, February 6, at 3:00 PM ET and you’ll be able to watch the game on ESPN.

Trevon Diggs top 5, Cowboys lead all NFL teams in Pro Bowl votes

The Cowboys are owning the fan vote, see which players are doing well at their respective positions in the early portion of the process. | From @KDDrummondNFL

The Dallas Cowboys have always fared well in popularity contests. Anyone that looks at annual top-rated television programs will undoubtedly find several Cowboys games at the top of the list. When the team is doing well, that popularity is often measured in the fan vote portion of the Pro Bowl process and 2021 is no exception.

With Dallas sporting a comfortable lead in the NFC East a little past the halfway point with a 7-3 record, the standout individual performances have motivated Cowboys Nation to flood the voting process. As a result, several Cowboys are in in good position in the early going for one-third of the overall selection process. Cornerback Trevon Diggsis doing the best among them in fifth place overall while running away with the interception lead with eight in 10 games including two Pick 6s.

Diggs, Ezekiel Elliott, Zack Martin and Tyler Biadasz are all position leaders in the NFC battle. In fact Diggs and his teammates are doing so well, the Cowboys lead all NFL teams in votes.

Micah Parsons is currently third among inside linebackers.

Roster selections are determined by the consensus votes of fans, players and coaches. Each group’s vote counts one-third toward determining the 88 All-Star players. NFL players and coaches will cast their votes on Friday, December 17.

Pro Bowl rosters will be announced on Monday, December 20 live on NFL Network’s Pro Bowl special “NFL Total Access: Pro Bowl Players Revealed” at 7:00 PM ET and integrated in ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown and ESPN/ABC’s Monday Night Football.

The 2022 Pro Bowl presented by Verizon will be played at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Sunday, February 6, at 3:00 PM ET.

Pro Bowl Fan voting has been underway for a week now with 27 Kansas Chiefs players up for selection to the 2022 Pro Bowl. After just a week of voting, one Kansas City Chiefs player is among the top-3 in the league of fan voting.

Colts RB Jonathan Taylor leads the way with 81,087 votes, Rams WR Cooper Kupp is following closely behind with 80,673 votes and finally, Chiefs TE Travis Kelce comes in at No. 3 with 79,910 votes.

Kelce is one of 16 active players who have been selected to the Pro Bowl for six consecutive seasons or more. Right now, he’s trending to join an even more exclusive club with his seventh consecutive selection to the Pro Bowl.

Kelce is on pace for 102 receptions, 1,275 yards and eight touchdowns on the season. It’d mark his sixth consecutive season with over 1,000 receiving yards, breaking his own record for the longest such streak in NFL history.

Chiefs players currently have the fourth-most votes among all players in Pro Bowl voting. However, only Kelce and Orlando Brown currently lead their positions in terms of Pro Bowl voting. That means players like Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, Creed Humphrey, Trey Smith, Nick Bolton, and Tyrann Mathieu still need your help to ensure their selection to the Pro Bowl this season. While the Super Bowl is always the goal, selection to the Pro Bowl can help cement legacies for all of these players.

You can vote for your favorite players here. Fans can begin voting on Twitter using #ProBowlFanVote from December 1 through December 16. To cast such a vote, fans should tweet the first and last name of the player, the player’s official Twitter handle, or a hashtag including the player’s first and last name. The 2022 Pro Bowl is set to be played at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Sunday, February 6, at 3:00 PM ET and you’ll be able to watch on ESPN.

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes continues to lead Pro Bowl fan voting

Mahomes leads Pro Bowl fan voting by over 3,000 votes.

Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes continues to lead the NFL in Pro Bowl fan voting. He originally had the lead with 143,355 votes, but he’s now extended the lead with 206,525 according to the NFL’s most recent update. Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson is hot on his tail with around 3,000 fewer votes, narrowing the lead from the original update.

Chiefs TE Travis Kelce (185,218) and Chiefs DT Chris Jones (93,564) also lead their respective position groups in fan voting for the AFC conference. Kelce’s number of votes is good for the fifth-most of any player in the NFL.

Tyrann Mathieu, who led fan voting at the AFC’s strong safety position with over 70,000 votes in the first update from the NFL, has fallen behind Buffalo Bills safety Jordan Poyer. According to the latest update, Poyer leads the AFC at that position with over 102,000 votes.

The Chiefs have a total of 27 players up for selection to the Pro Bowl this year. Keep in mind that a game won’t be played due to COVID-19, but they’re still voting on players due to incentives and the like. The NFL plans to have a Madden Tournament among players in lieu of an actual game this year.

Pro Bowl voting is still open for a few more weeks. You can vote for your favorite players on NFL.com until Thursday, December 17. You can also now vote on Twitter. All you need to do is tweet the first and last name of the player, the player’s official Twitter handle, or a hashtag including the player’s first and last name along with the #ProBowlVote hashtag.
