WATCH: Chiefs WR Justin Watson gives young fan his gloves before kickoff vs. Lions

#Chiefs wide receiver Justin Watson gave a young fan his gloves ahead of Kansas City’s Week 1 matchup against the #Lions.

The Kansas City Chiefs’ Week 1 matchup got off to a heartwarming start on Thursday evening when wide receiver Justin Watson was seen giving a young fan his gloves ahead of the team’s kickoff against the Detroit Lions.

Watson, who has been with the Chiefs since last season, is among the most consistent receivers that Kansas City hosts. His blend of athleticism and finesse has provided Patrick Mahomes with a valuable asset in the passing game, and he is sure to make an impact against the Lions when he takes the field.

The Chiefs will be without star pass-catcher Travis Kelce in this game, so contributions from players like Watson will be critical to Kansas City’s offensive success in this Week 1 tilt.

Expect Watson to get involved early as Patrick Mahomes looks to spread the ball around to find the hot hand in the passing game and dissect Detroit’s talented secondary.

WATCH: Bryce Young has hilarious interaction with young Panthers fan

Panthers QB Bryce Young’s hilarious interaction with fan, or lack thereof, goes viral

As the No. 1 pick in the 2023 NFL draft, it is easy to let all of the pressure mount on your shoulders, but former Alabama quarterback Bryce Young just takes it in stride. Young is the face of the Panthers franchise now and they will only go as far as he can take them. He has already been announced as Carolina’s starting quarterback moving forward and will likely be considered as a captain.

The Panthers drafted him because he was the best player in college football over the past two seasons, but his intangibles were the things the Panthers fell in love with. When he’s at the podium, he always knows what to say, he’s reportedly been one of the most prepared players of the Nick Saban era. He’s not the type of guy that an owner has to be worried about.

Carolina got a QB who genuinely cares about his community and life off the football field as well. As a leader, Young has made it a priority to interact with the fan base and to represent the franchise well.

In a hilarious interaction over the weekend, Young can be seen signing a young fan’s No. 9 jersey. After he finishes signing, Young goes to give him a fist bump and the kid just walked off on Bryce. The Panthers posted it to their X, formerly known as Twitter, page where it immediately went viral. Watch the interaction below.
