Chiefs HC Andy Reid comments on Jamaal Charles’ Hall of Fame candidacy

#Chiefs HC Andy Reid gave Jamaal Charles his endorsement after news broke that the prolific running back will be on the Hall of Fame ballot in 2024.

Jamaal Charles is one of the best running backs in Kansas City Chiefs history, and when news broke that he is officially a Hall of Fame candidate for the class of 2024, nobody in Western Missouri was surprised.

Perhaps the least taken aback was Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, who commented on Charles’ candidacy during his comments to reporters on Wednesday.

“[He is a] Hall of Fame [caliber] player,” Reid told the media. “He was tremendous, could do everything. I mean literally everything; he could have played wide receiver, did play running back. You give him the ball, you’re guaranteed – whatever his average is but it’s one of the highest if not the highest in league history. He’s a great player, wish I would have had him when he was even younger than what I got him at.”

It seems that Charles has Reid in his corner as he hopes to be forever enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The ringing endorsement that the long-tenured head coach gave Charles on Wednesday may give Hall of Fame voters that extra push to give him the ultimate honor next August.

Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes will continue as the spokesperson for private aviation firm Airshare.

The company recently announced a multiyear extension of its endorsement and brand marketing partnership with Mahomes. After reportedly turning down numerous endorsement offers ahead of the 2018 NFL season, Mahomes signed on with Airshare as one of his first brand endorsement deals. He and his family have since flown with Airshare, with Mahomes becoming the face of their marketing campaigns and strategy.

“Airshare was one of my first partnerships – they believed in me from the very beginning of my professional career as a starting quarterback,” said Patrick Mahomes, via press release. “We have both experienced a lot of success over the last five years. As my travel needs have evolved, Airshare has always been there for me and my family. Now more than ever, I appreciate how flying private allows me to get the most out of my limited time during the offseason. I’m excited to continue our partnership.”

Airshare has helped Mahomes maximize his time during what is a busy and short offseason. Conversely, Mahomes has helped Airshare become one of the fastest-growing private aviation companies in the United States.

“We have a special relationship with Patrick and we’re proud to have him continue representing the Airshare brand,” said Andy Tretiak, Chief Marketing Officer of Airshare, via press release. “His achievements both on and off the field are extraordinary and helping him balance such a demanding schedule has been rewarding for our entire team. He’s a perfect example of how both leisure and business customers benefit from the comfort and peace of mind while flying private with us.”

If you watched Mahomes during Capitol One’s “The Match” this past week, you’ll know that Airshare was their official aviation partner. They featured this advertisement during the course of the one-off golf event.

Airshare also flew each of Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson to and from Las Vegas, Nevada for “The Match.”

Chiefs TE Travis Kelce scores endorsement deal with Hy-Vee

As a part of his new endorsement deal with Hy-Vee, #Chiefs TE Travis Kelce’s foundation (@87Running) will earn $1,000 with every touchdown he scores beginning in 2021.

Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce has scored a new endorsement deal ahead of the 2021 NFL season.

Midwest grocery chain Hy-Vee has been the official grocer of the Chiefs since 2009, but the partnership has since grown. Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes signed a multi-year endorsement deal with Hy-Vee back in 2019, featuring his Mahomes Magic Crunch cereal. On Friday, the grocery chain announced a brand new partnership with Kelce running through 2025.

“I’m excited to be partnering with Hy-Vee because from the start they were interested in how they could support my foundation and the work we do in the community,” Kelce said in a press release. “I also know how impactful the Hy-Vee brand is. By working together, we’ll be able to connect with a lot of Chiefs’ Kingdom across the Midwest, which is important to me.”

As a part of the endorsement deal, Hy-Vee will be donating $1,000 to Kelce’s 87 and Running foundation for every touchdown Kelce scores. The veteran tight end scored a career-high 11 touchdowns during the 2020 NFL season, adding another three scores during the playoffs.

“When we saw the outreach that Travis (Kelce) was doing in his local community, we knew we wanted to support his efforts,” Hy-Vee’s chairman, CEO and president, Randy Edeker said via press release. “Not only is Travis talented on the field, he also serves as a true role model and sports icon for the families who visit our stores, making him a great partner for us at Hy-Vee.”

In addition to the collaboration with Kelce’s foundation, Hy-Vee will carry exclusive Kelce-branded products at their grocery stores in and around the Kansas City area. A portion of the proceeds from those products will also go to 87 and Running.

Why Alabama fans are distancing themselves from Milo’s sweet tea

An Alabama tradition that is leaving Crimson Tide fans feeling betrayed.

Yesterday, the NCAA passed an interim policy supporting student-athletes’ ability to benefit off their name, image and likeness. Today, college players all across the nation are taking advantage of the opportunity.

One quarterback on Auburn’s roster named Bo Nix managed to land a deal with a local company you may, or may not, have heard of.

Milo’s sweet tea is a southern favorite. It’s hard to open up a fridge in the state of Alabama and not see a gallon jug of the stuff. However, Alabama fans are now taking to Twitter to show they are distancing themselves from the brand.
