Giants greats Eli Manning, Tiki Barber advance in Hall of Fame voting

New York Giants greats, QB Eli Manning and RB Tiki Barber, have advanced in voting for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Former New York Giants greats, quarterback Eli Manning and running back Tiki Barber, have advanced with 48 other modern-day players in the voting process for the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Class of 2025 presented by Visual Edge IT.

The list will be reduced to 25 semifinalists in approximately four weeks with the Class of 2025 being announced at the NFL Honors in New Orleans, Louisiana, in February and enshrined in August in Canton.

Manning is the Giants’ all-time passing leader and holds most of the franchise’s passing records. He has also played the most seasons and the most games in a New York Giants uniform.

Barber is the Giants’ all-time leading rusher, is second to Hall of Famer Frank Gifford in touchdowns, and is fourth on the Giants’ all-time list in receiving yards.

This announcement comes on the heels of former head coach Tom Coughlin advancing to the next round in the coaches’ category and linebacker Carl Banks, running back Ottis Anderson, and quarterback Charlie Conerly making it to the next round in the senior’s category.

It would be fitting if Manning and Coughlin went into the Hall of Fame together. And it would be incredibly ironic if Barber joined them.

Eli Manning’s adorable dog crashed the ManningCast during Ravens-Bucs

What a good boy!

The ManningCast got a surprise visitor during its Baltimore Ravens-Tampa Bay Buccaneers broadcast.

As Eli Manning was running a drill for the viewers at home with instructions from Peyton Manning, the former’s golden retriever Hank decided to crash the broadcast for some playtime.

Hank is a very, very good boy, and he should be allowed to crash the ManningCast whenever he wants.

He did a wonderful job being a very good boy on the show, and we hope Eli Manning gave him lots of cookies and belly scratches after his surprise television appearance.

Honestly, let’s just bring out as many dogs as possible on all football broadcasts from here on out. This is the way.

Tom Coughlin: Eli Manning is ‘best big-game QB I’ve ever seen’

Retired New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin sings the praises of Eli Manning, calling him the “best big-game quarterback” he’s ever seen.

Former New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin extolled the virtues of his former quarterback Eli Manning recently on a recent episode of Barstool Sports’ Pardon My Take.

“You look at his eyes,” Coughlin said when asked if he knew that Eli would rise to the occasion during the Giants’ two Super Bowl runs in 2007 and 2011. “He’s the greatest big game quarterback I’ve ever seen.”

Coughlin explained that Eli knew the odds were against him going up against the likes of Tom Brady and the New England Patriots but never wavered.

“He accepted the challenge. He wanted the challenge. He wanted that,” said Coughlin. “Call it his pedigree, call it what you want. You talk about making plays when he had to make them… Look at Super Bowl 46, the (Mario) Manningham catch. Eli’s back there maneuvering to get the ball off in that situation, and made that throw.

“You talk about big play, big game people… I’m taking him.”

Now the big question is the Pro Football Hall of Fame going to agree when they vote on the Class of 2025 later this year?

Patrick Mahomes ruined Paul Rudd’s ManningCast segment by throwing a pick to Saints’ Khalen Saunders

Not like this, Paul Rudd. Not like this.

Kansas City Chiefs superfan Paul Rudd picked the wrong time to join the ManningCast on Monday night.

Rudd hopped on with Peyton and Eli Manning to discuss his team’s Monday Night Football game against the New Orleans Saints, but his appearance immediately went in the wrong direction at no fault of his own.

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw a shocking pick to Saints defensive tackle (and former Kansas City player) Khalen Saunders, and Rudd looked truly devastated as he watched the whole play unfold with the Manning brothers.

What stung even more was Rudd predicted Chiefs wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster would score a touchdown right before the interception. That’s who Mahomes targeted on the play before Saunders picked the quarterback off.

You have to watch Rudd process this lowlight in the moment because it’s just priceless.

A Taylor Swift crowd shot inspired Bill Belichick to sass Travis Kelce on the ManningCast

A sassy Bill Belichick is the best Bill Belichick.

The ManningCast virtually took in Monday night’s Kansas City Chiefs and New Orleans Saints game, which music superstar Taylor Swift attended to support her boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

During Bill Belichick’s latest ManningCast appearance, one of the ESPN game cameras cut to a shot of Swift cheering Kelce on in one of the Arrowhead Stadium suites.

The ManningCast went silent when Swift hit the screen until Belichick let out a playful “Ugh!” before delivering a perfectly smarmy reaction at Kelce’s expense.

“Big first half for Kelce, too big, too big,” Belichick quipped to laughter from Peyton and Eli Manning.

Well, if that isn’t the most pricelessly awkward moment of NFL broadcasting we’ll see this week, we’re not sure what is.
