Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes is proudly bringing a TV to training camp this year

The thrill of football’s eventual return has fans around the world excited. The Kansas City Chiefs are ready for training camp and the defense of their Super Bowl title, but players still need some welcomed distractions while off the football field.

The release of EA Sports’ College Football 25 has taken the sports gaming world by storm. It is the first new release of such a game in over a decade. The game is also on Patrick Mahomes’s mind as he enters his eighth training camp with the Chiefs, and he explained to reporters on Tuesday that he’s changing his routine to compensate this year.

“This is my first year; I’m bringing a TV,” said Mahomes. “I haven’t brought a TV ever before, but NCAA (EA Sports’ College Football 25) came out, I’m gonna have to turn it on. I brought a TV for NCAA and the Olympics.”

The Olympics will also be underway while Mahomes and the Chiefs are in camp, so there will be global attention. The focus is on a three-peat, but it doesn’t hurt to have stress-free options during the long days of camp.

Deone Walker, Maxwell Hairston earn Top 100 ratings in EA Sports College Football 25

Walker rates as the No. 21 overall player in College Football 25’s Top 100 players.

Wednesday was another eventful day for EA Sports College Football 25 and those looking forward to playing the first new NCAA football video game in over 10 years.

College Football 25 unveiled its Top 100 individual player ratings. For Kentucky, defensive end Deone Walker was unsurprisingly rated the Wildcats’ best player. Walker received a 93 overall rating, which makes him the No. 21 highest-rated player according to EA.com. Only Tennessee’s James Pearce Jr. was rated higher among defensive ends (95 rating, No. 4 overall).

Walker was one of two Kentucky players to make the Top 100 ratings. Cornerback Maxwell Hairston (No. 61 overall) was the other.

Among individual attributes assigned by EA, Walker received a 71 rating for speed, an 83 rating for acceleration, a 97 rating for strength, and a 96 rating for awareness.

Hairston was given a 91 rating for speed, a 93 rating for acceleration, a 60 rating for strength, and an 88 rating for awareness.

Michigan cornerback Will Johnson, LSU offensive tackle Will Campbell and Oklahoma State running back Ollie Gordon II were the three highest-rated players by EA. They each received a 96 overall rating.

Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders was the highest-rated quarterback at No. 17 overall. Deion Sanders’ Buffaloes also had the highest-rated wide receiver in Travis Hunter (No. 6 overall).

College Football 25 will be released in full July 19.

Lamar Jackson is hyped for the release of EA Sports College Football 25 video game

Lamar Jackson finds himself at the center of the buzz surrounding the release of EA Sports College Football 25.

Lamar Jackson hasn’t played college football in six years, but he is the center of the buzz surrounding the release of EA Sports College Football 25.

The new game drops July 19 and includes a feature where you can play with a super team of current NFL players portrayed in their college days.

Jackson is one of those players, and this feature undoubtedly excited him.

“Who do I contact to get my NCAA 25 right now,” Jackson tweeted, along with a puzzled face emoji, late Tuesday morning.

The official EA Sports College account then playfully highlighted how the reigning NFL MVP called the video game by the wrong name.

However, they did imply that Lamar would still get his advance copy of the game.

“Because you’re @EAMaddenNFL Cover Athlete family… We’ll forgive you for using the wrong name #CFB25 Our people will call your people,” the account tweeted, along with a look at this emoji.

The back-and-forth led to the Ravens franchise quarterback becoming a top trending term on the platform. Had the banter been by design and not organic, this would have been a brilliant publicity stunt.

Arch Manning stars in commercial for ‘EA Sports College Football 25’

Arch Manning — Peyton’s nephew — delivers a pre-snap cadence that features ‘Omaha’ in his commercial for ‘EA Sports College Football 25.’

This spring, a report emerged that Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning had opted out of EA Sports College Football 25.

Either that report was inaccurate or EA Sports found a way to make Manning reconsider because the 19-year-old quarterback released a commercial for the video game on his Twitter/X page on Tuesday.

In the ad, Arch’s uncle, Eli, reads a play to the QB that includes “Z rizz.”

“Are you sure about this?” Arch asks after hearing the play call from Eli.

“Absolutely! I mean this is the best way to focus on football, all right?” Eli exclaims. “So get your eyes on the safety, be vocal out there!”

“Yes, coach! I mean — uh, Uncle E,” Arch says.

Arch then delivers a cadence that includes “Omaha” (of course) before throwing a virtual touchdown pass.

The sophomore quarterback wrapped up the commercial with a twist on the company’s signature tagline: “EA Sports, I’m in the game.”

You can view the complete video below:

Arch, of course, is the nephew of Peyton and Eli and grandson of Archie. Arch’s dad, Cooper, was a star wide receiver in high school before his football career was cut short by spinal stenosis.

Arch is currently the backup at Texas behind Quinn Ewers, but football fans will be able to make him a (virtual) QB1 when CFB25 hits stores on July 19. The video game will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Story update: Pete Nakos of On3Sports has reported that Arch was paid between $50,000-$60,000 to promote the video game as part of an NIL deal. The QB also gets $600 and a copy of the game, which is the standard payment for opting in.

Notre Dame is one of the top overall teams in NCAA College Football

The Irish should be very fun to play with

As we get closer and closer to the return of EA Sports College Football, we are finding out plenty about what they think of Notre Dame.

The Irish will have one of the top teams in the country, according to the game. Recently they released the rankings of the top offenses and defenses, but on Friday they gave us who are the best overall teams. Notre Dame checked in at No. 7, which should almost mirror where they will land in preseason polls.

Many of us can’t wait to fire up their consoles and play a game that’s been on an 11-year hiatus.

The 90 overall ranking is just behind some of the top teams, so playing with the Irish should be very fun.

Where is Alabama ranked in EA Sports College Football 25 overall rankings?

Do you agree with Alabama’s ranking in the upcoming EA Sports College Football 25 game?

The Alabama Crimson Tide football program may be under new leadership in 2024, but the team remains elite. Though rankings and polls have not yet been released for the upcoming season, EA Sports has revealed its overall rankings for the top 10 teams for its upcoming game, EA Sports College Football 25.

Though the legend Nick Saban retired, new head coach Kalen DeBoer has the program moving in the right direction, seemingly picking up right where Saban left off.

A talented roster and a strong coaching staff is the recipe for success in college football, and EA Sports recognizes that the Crimson Tide has both.

According to recent ranking for the video game, revealed by EA Sports, Alabama has a top-five defense and a top-three offense. The Crimson Tide has an overall ranking of 92, which places them as the No. 4 team in the game, only behind the top-ranked Georgia Bulldogs, No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes and No. 3 Oregon Ducks.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to follow Alabama football news as the 2024 college football season approaches.

The anticipation is growing for the return of [autotag]EA Sports College Football[/autotag] and on Friday morning a gameplay trailer dropped featuring some clips of Notre Dame football inside Notre Dame Stadium.

The game released its game tier purchase options earlier this week, along with its cover athletes, Colorado’s Shadur Sanders, Texas’ Quinn Ewers and Michigan’s Donovan Edwards.

Jalen Milroe has ‘top-end speed’ in EA Sports College Football 25 video game

Will you be playing as Jalen Milroe and Alabama in the EA Sports College Football 25 video game?

On July 19, 2024, fans of all ages from all across the nation will be glued to their gaming consoles as the decade-long hiatus of the EA Sports College Football franchise comes to an end. Alabama Crimson Tide football fans can look forward to playing as their favorite players and leading the Tide to the College Football Playoffs and winning it all.

However, Alabama fans won’t be alone in using Crimson Tide players, especially star quarterback Jalen Milroe.

According to popular YouTube content creator Eric Ray, who has plenty of gameplay on EA Sports’ other football-oriented video game, “Madden,” Milroe may be the quarterback of choice for a lot of future players of EA Sports College Football 25.

Ray had an opportunity to play the upcoming and highly-anticipated video game and took to YouTube to share his thoughts on the game. When it came to Milroe, he talked about why his character in the game may be one of the best at the quarterback position.

“Jalen Milroe from Alabama, when I was playing with them, and I would take off running with Milroe, you feel that top-end speed,” states Ray. “If you’re not a good user, you really feel the power of somebody like a Jalen Milroe because he’s that much harder to tackle than a lesser guy because he’s just so quick and so shifty.”

The wait is almost over for fans who are eager to play the game and Roll Tide Wire will continue to follow Alabama football news as it relates to the EA Sports College Football video game.

How much Oregon is set to make from EA College Football 25

See how much the Oregon Ducks will be making from EA Sports’s upcoming College Football video game.

One of the biggest stories that comes with the revival of EA Sports’s College Football franchise is NIL compensation for each player in the game. During the game’s development, players were given the choice of whether or not to license their personalities into the game, and almost all players opted in for the upcoming release of the game. But players aren’t the only ones set to profit from the resurrected franchise.

On Friday, Matt Liberman of cllct broke down how each school is being compensated for the rights to program trademarks, using information he complied from Freedom of Information Act requests. Each FBS school was separated into four tiers based on how many seasons a given school finished in the AP Top 25 in the last 10 seasons.

The Oregon Ducks were ranked in Tier 1, having finished in the AP Top 25 in six of the last 10 seasons. The Tier 1 revenue compensation — which Liberman said is based on “minimum guaranteed royalties” — is $99,875.16. For reference, the Tier 4 schools (programs that didn’t finish in the Top 25 in any of the last 10 seasons) have revenue compensation of 9,987.52.

Oregon was one of 13 teams ranked in first tier and the only Pac-12 school included. Of the Ducks’ new Big Ten rivals, Michigan, Ohio State, Iowa, and Penn State were the four schools to crack Tier 1.

EA College Football is set to debut later this summer, and for the first time in 11 years, we’ll get a chance to play take control of the Oregon Ducks in a video game. And this time around, players will be sharing in the profits.
