Analysis: For the third day in a row, a junior cornerback from the Houston, Texas area is featured in our player profile spotlight. D’Shawn Jamison may be the most important out of the trio.

Not only does Jamison appear to be the top corner going into next season, but during his freshman and sophomore seasons, he has been a kick and punt returner for Texas. He has two career touchdowns, with one coming off a punt return against Kansas State in 2018, while he scored off a kickoff late in the game against Rice last season.

Jamison will continue to be a returner for the Longhorns to go along with his duties in the secondary. Being used in multiple fashions for Tom Herman, the cornerback has become a vital part of this Texas team. Jamison’s performances in returns must continue while improving with the entire secondary.
