New Era reveals Chiefs’ 2020 NFL draft caps

How do you feel about the newest draft cap designs for the Kansas City Chiefs?

New Era has launched its collection of draft caps for the 2020 NFL draft. This collection features the hats that players will wear when they’re selected by a team in the draft. That whole process might be a little different this year, with the NFL draft changing to a studio setting.

Last season, the designs for the draft caps were met with criticism, with each team design being inspired by the city flag or crest. The Chiefs’ hat was a particular brand of ugly. Kansas City didn’t have a first-round draft pick after the Frank Clark trade, so no player wore the cap during the 2019 NFL draft.

This time around it seems that New Era has made some better design choices. The designs for 2020 were inspired by the neon signs that fill the Las Vegas strip. The NFL draft, of course, was scheduled to take place in Vegas prior to the coronavirus pandemic.

Each hat features the neon Chiefs logo, with the neon Chiefs Kingdom, emblazoned on the side. They also have a neon NFL logo on the back of each hat.

You can buy from this latest collection of sideline hats at neweracap.com, or any of your favorite sporting goods and headwear retailers. Retail pricing starts at $33.99.

These appear to be much better than the 2019 draft caps launched this time last year. Let us know your thoughts about the newest designs on Facebook and Twitter.
