WATCH: Chiefs WR makes diving catch at training camp practice

Check out this diving catch from #Chiefs training camp that got fans excited in St. Joseph during Kansas City’s practice session on Thursday.

The Kansas City Chiefs will rely on their new-look receiving corps to create explosive plays in Andy Reid’s offense this season after a disappointing showing from the team’s pass-catchers in 2023.

Though the addition of rookie Xavier Worthy headlined the Chiefs’ effort to rebuild its air attack around Patrick Mahomes in the offseason, it was veteran Marquise “Hollywood” Brown who impressed fans during a recent practice session.

When he was targeted by Mahomes during passing drills on Thursday, Brown made a slick adjustment to come down with a diving catch against defensive back Jaden Hicks, which earned some cheers from the crowd in attendance.

Take a look at this video of the play below, which was posted to Twitter by user @EddieHigh:

Brown is no stranger to the spotlight and has made big plays throughout his professional career during stints with the Baltimore Ravens and Arizona Cardinals.

Expect him to continue showing off his pass-catching prowess during training camp ahead of his regular season debut in Kansas City.

WATCH: Chiefs rookie Nikko Remigio makes impressive diving catch

Watch Chiefs rookie Nikko Remigio lay out to secure this incredible diving catch. | from: @WesleyRoesch

Kansas City Chiefs rookie receiver Nikko Remigio is beginning to earn a reputation as a human highlight reel for his catches in training camp.

One week removed from a crazy fade-away catch that saw Remigio land straight on his back and pop up as if nothing happened (against the team’s top cornerback, no less), Remigio reeled in yet another insane catch in practice — this time a full-stretch dive.

Take a look:

This slightly-overthrown pass was expertly caught by the 5-foot-9, 187-pound Fresno State product despite landing hard on his abdomen. The tenacity it takes to make a catch like that — and make it look relatively easy — is outstanding.

With highlight-reel clips like these, Remigio may earn himself a spot on the Chiefs’ roster if he keeps up the spectacular work during practice and preseason. It also helps that Remigio is an adept punt and kick returner — he earned over 1,600 total return yards and three total return touchdowns in college.

If Remigio continues to play well and catch the eye of both coach Andy Reid and special teams coordinator Dave Toub, the team may have no choice but to find a way to keep him around.

Alabama softball outfielder Elissa Brown is no stranger to making flashy plays, she’s even been featured on ESPN’s ‘SportCenter’s Top-10.’ Well, last night, she may have herself another one.

With the Crimson Tide up over Ole Miss 11-6, a low-lying fly ball was sent out to left-center field. Brown made the speedy trip over and made a beautiful diving catch to end the inning.

Alabama is currently ranked No. 3 in the nation, and has an overall record of 41-7.

So far, the Crimson Tide have taken two of three games from Ole Miss in Tuscaloosa. They will look to go for the sweep tonight in their final regular season series before heading into the SEC Tournament.
