Bills vs. Lions: Teammates react to another Josh Allen showcase

Bills vs. Lions: Teammates react to another Josh Allen showcase

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen impresses a lot of people, including the ones that know him best.

Allen played a huge role with four touchdown passes against the Detroit Lions (12-2) in a 48-42 win for the Bills (11-3) in Week 15.

Allen had another multi-touchdown effort with four this time. The MVP conversation continues to grow, including in his own locker room.

Allen’s teammates reacted to another big game from the QB in Detroit. Plenty of praise was found.

“Josh is the best player in the league,” cornerback Taron Johnson said.

‘”It’s hard to describe,” tight end Dawson Knox added. “Sometimes you just turn into a fan.”

A roundup of reaction from the Bills locker room on Allen can be found in the WKBW-TV clip below:

From a fans point of view, the Bills’ win over the Dolphins was thrilling.

As a player, it was even more so.

The Bills topped their rivals 30-27 on a late game-winning kick from 61 yards by Tyler Bass. Tight end Dawson Knox was pumped up about it like everyone else in western New York.

We know that because Knox was “mic’d” up during the contest.

The video of Knox with the microphone can be found in the clip below:

Buffalo Bills players recently took some time to have some fun in their practice facility.

The team was able to enjoy one of the City of Buffalo’s finest treats. No, we’re not talking about buffalo wings with blue cheese or beef on weck. We’re talking about pizza logs.

Players such as Dawson Knox, Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman, and others spun a wheel to determine which flavor of pizza log they would try.

5 high-profile tight ends Broncos should attempt to trade for

The Broncos could use a play-making tight end, so they should target these players ahead of the NFL trade deadline.

After seven weeks of action, the Denver Broncos‘ most productive tight end has been Lucas Krull. He has a whopping six receptions for 57 yards.

Nate Adkins (four receptions for 19 yards) is more of a blocker than a receiver, Greg Dulcich (five receptions for 28 yards) has been a healthy scratch in recent weeks and Adam Trautman (two receptions for 32 yards) hasn’t been very involved in the passing game.

The Broncos could use a playmaker at tight end, somebody who would give rookie quarterback Bo Nix a reliable option in the middle of the field. With the NFL trade deadline (Nov. 5) now two weeks away, we’ve put together a quick list of five high-profile tight ends who would make sense for Denver.

1. TE Mark Andrews, Ravens: Andrews hasn’t been as involved in Baltimore’s offense this fall as he was in previous years, perhaps in part because of the emergence of Isaiah Likely. The Ravens probably aren’t very interested in moving him, but the Broncos should make a call just in case.

2. TE David Njoku, Browns: Cleveland is 1-6 and they just lost Deshaun Watson to a torn Achilles. After the Browns shipped out receiver Amari Cooper, Denver should check in on the status of Njoku.

3. TE Evan Engram, Jaguars: Jacksonville is 2-5, but Engram remains one of Trevor Lawrence’s favorite targets. It never hurts to ask, though.

4. TE Dawson Knox, Bills: Dalton Kincaid has emerged as Buffalo’s primary tight end, so the Broncos should make an offer for Knox.

5. TE Hunter Henry, Patriots: New England also has a rookie QB in Drake Maye and Henry is one of his favorite targets, but the Patriots are 1-6, so Denver should reach out about Henry’s trade status.

The NFL trade deadline is 2 p.m. MT (4 p.m. ET) on Tuesday, Nov. 5.

Bills’ Dawson Knox breaks slump with touchdown vs. Jets (video)

Bills’ Dawson Knox breaks slump with touchdown vs. Jets (video)

Dawson Knox has been under a spotlight heading into Week 6. He only had three catches on the year and the Bills have needed playmakers.

He showed against the Jets he still has something in the tank.

Knox capped a 10 play, 80-yard drive for a touchdown. Quarterback Josh Allen scrambled to make the play and found his tight end for the score just before halftime.

Heading into the game, Knox only had three catches on the entire year.

Knox’s TD brought the score to a 20-10 lead for the Bills.

Bills’ Dawson Knox answers questions at press conference from kids (video)

A nice moment for the kids:

Dawson Knox gave some young Bills fans quite the opportunity as the team rounded out training camp at St. John Fisher University.

At the Bills were wrapping up shop in Rochester, Knox sat down in front of reporters… kid reporters… and answered questions for them.

Dogs were discussed, as was Knox’s hair (thanks to teammate Connor McGovern).

That moment can be found in the WIVB-TV clip below:

Bills teammates impressed with Josh Allen in overdrive at practice

Allen threw all the passes:

Josh Allen put it into overdrive at practice on Monday in Orchard Park.

Fresh off a 33-6 loss to the Chicago Bears in his team’s preseason opener, Allen threw every pass at Buffalo’s next practice. However, that has nothing to do with the result.

Due to an injury to Shane Buechele and Mitchell Trubisky having an excused absence, Allen was the only available QB for the team.

That doesn’t happen very often. It’s also hard to imagine some other franchise quarterbacks in the NFL picking up the slack for his team like that. But this is Josh… and his teammates were not at all surprised by him stepping up in that way.

“That’s a tough guy,” receiver Curtis Samuel said.

“Josh is a dog,” wideout Khalil Shakir added.

WATCH: Bills veterans arrive for 2024 training camp

Back:

The boys (veteran players) are back in town (at St. John Fisher University in Pittsford).

Last week, as tradition goes, the rookie players currently on the Bills roster arrived for their first training camp in Rochester. That group of first-year pros have a chance to get their feet wet first before the rest of the roster reports for duty.

That experience reporting was on Tuesday. Buffalo’s first training camp practice is slated for Wednesday, but veterans such as Josh Allen, Dawson Knox, James Cook and more are back in western New York to get settled in.

The Bills shared a video of those players and more arriving to this summer’s training camp which can be found below:

WATCH: Buffalo Bills players try a ‘milk challenge’

Milk:

Do you know milk?

You probably do better than plenty of Buffalo Bills players.

The likes of Josh Allen, Spencer Brown, Dawson Knox and more players decided to sit down for a “milk challenge” earlier this offseason.

The goal was to try and guess the correct type in a blind challenge.

Check out how the players did in the clip below:
