Cree Thomas lays out plan for his senior season before arriving at Notre Dame

Thomas knows what he needs to accomplish before he gets to South Bend

The time is now for high school seniors to achieve all of their football goals, and Notre Dame commit [autotag]Cree Thomas[/autotag] knows what he needs to do.

In an interview with Pete Know, the 6-foot, 1-inch and 180-pound cornerback laid out his plans for his season with Brophy College Prep in Phoenix, Arizona.

The goals are pretty simple, win a state championship, however what stood out was how to do it. Thomas said he will do “anything he can for his team,” which is great to hear.

It’s all about the team for the future Irish defender, as he surely will fit into the locker room atmosphere for Notre Dame quickly.

He also mentioned his personal goals as wanting to be “technically sound in everything he can,” with no stats mentioned.

Thomas is ranked as the No. 430 overall prospect and 38th corner according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Meet Notre Dame’s Top Ranked 2025 Recruiting Class

What must the Irish still add to make this class great?

It’s early in the 2025 recruiting cycle still but recruiting for Notre Dame tends to play out a lot like a quote from New York Yankees legend Yogi Berra:

“It’s getting late early out there.”

When it comes to football recruiting Notre Dame is a team that tends to start hot and then usually have to hold on to secure a high ranking.  They’re rarely if ever a program that soars up the rankings late in the process.

That’s why it’s so important that Notre Dame gets off to hot starts in recruiting and that is something they’ve certainly done to date with the 2025 recruiting class.

Notre Dame now has 16 commitments in the class which gives them the top ranking according to both 247Sports and Rivals.

Below are the currently committed 16 members of Notre Dame’s 2025 recruiting class and a little about each player.

Please note: Prospects are listed according to their public commitment dates

Notre Dame will have to fend off multiple schools to keep CB Cree Thomas

As with recruiting, it’s not over until the prospect signs

It’s fairly common for teams to have to battle hard charging schools for its commitments and Notre Dame will have to do the same with 2025 cornerback commit [autotag]Cree Thomas[/autotag].

The Arizona native verballed to the Irish in late November and according to a report by 247Sports Blair Angulo (subscription required), Notre Dame is battling Stanford and UCLA to keep Thomas in the fold. He went on to say that the visit made earlier this month has him “firmly committed,” even though those other two schools are continuing to recruit Thomas.

The 6-foot, 1-inch and 175-pound corner is ranked as the No. 35 player at his position and 348th overall prospect according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Notre Dame cornerback target sets commitment date

Reinforcements coming from the desert?

Just over a week from now Notre Dame could be landing secondary help in their 2025 recruiting class.

One of their top defensive back targets in the class, cornerback Cree Thomas of Phoenix (Ariz.) Brophy College Prep has set his commitment date for November 20.

Notre Dame makes his list of finalists, as does every team that has offered him.  Oregon, Wisconsin, Arizona, Arizona State, Boston College, Cal, Colorado State, Nevada, Purdue, San Diego State and UNLV all offered Thomas and appear on his list of finalists as well.

Thomas has six interceptions so far this season and has played a significant role in Brophy’s season as they sit two wins from a trip to the state championship game.

Brophy is graded as a three-star prospect by 247Sports and the 29th overall cornerback in the 2025 recruiting class according to the same outlet.

For what it’s worth, all three crystal ball predictions that have been submitted on 247Sports have Brophy ultimately picking Notre Dame.

Notre Dame football adds 2025 Arizona cornerback to recruiting class

The Irish get a commitment from a very solid cornerback

Notre Dame football got some good news on Monday evening, Arizona 2025 cornerback [autotag]Cree Thomas[/autotag] verbally committed to the Irish.

Thomas is the No. 9 commit of the class, that is shaping up to be one of the best in the country. He selected Notre Dame over offers from Oregon, Wisconsin, Arizona State and others.

He is ranked as the No. 44 cornerback and 398th overall recruit in the 2025 cycle according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. Thomas has great size for the position, standing 6-foot, 1-inch and weighing 175-pounds. The Irish have done a great job of finding elite members of the secondary, and Thomas might be the next one up.

Notre Dame football receives multiple crystal ball picks after USC win

The Irish won on and off the field this past weekend

The atmosphere in Notre Dame Stadium was electric this past weekend and the [autotag]Notre Dame football[/autotag] coaching staff used it to its advantage.

There were plenty of recruits on campus for the showdown against USC and as the Irish won, the high school prospects that were on campus soaked up quite the environment. Some of them have hinted to recruiting insiders that they are leaning towards a commitment to the Irish.

Those insiders took that information and made crystal ball picks. Find out which recruits are projected to commit to Notre Dame along with some background information on them below.

Badgers offer three-star cornerback from Arizona

Wisconsin offered Cree Thomas, a three-star class of 2025 cornerback from Phoenix, Arizona on Tuesday.

Wisconsin offered Cree Thomas, a three-star cornerback from Phoenix, Arizona on Tuesday. The class of 2025 athlete is a sophomore at Brophy College Preparatory and still has two years of high school football before he’d make the leap to the collegiate level.

Thomas has now received 10 Division 1 offers, including offers from Arizona and Arizona State. The cornerback recorded six pass deflections, one interception and 33 total tackles as a sophomore in 2022 and will look to build on that season moving forward to raise his stock.

Traditionally, the Badgers have been more of a linebacker/defensive lineman program, but with Luke Fickell and Mike Tressel now handling the defense, it’s possible that the identity shifts a little under their leadership. Those two men produced NFL talents like Sauce Gardner and Coby Bryant while with Cincinnati.
