2023 offensive lineman from Texas visiting Auburn this weekend

2023 offensive tackle Connor Stroh is visiting the Plains this weekend.

On Friday, 2023 three-star offensive tackle Connor Stroh tweeted earlier that he was on the Plains. This is Stroh’s first official visit to Auburn since receiving an offer in March.

Stroh is listed at 6-foot-6.5 inches and 345 pounds according to 247Sports. He is also ranked as the No. 49 offensive tackle prospect in the 2023 class. For his high school, he also competes in track and field. The Tigers could use a versatile offensive tackle with his size. On the current roster, the Tigers have Brandon Council, Kilian Zierer, Alec Jackson, and Austin Troxell. Each of those will exhaust their eligibility after the season is over. The coaching staff seems to be prioritizing offensive tackles and Stroh is a prospect to keep an eye on.

Stroh recently released his top five schools — Florida, Auburn, Arkansas, Texas, and Texas A&M. All five are programs that appear to be trending in the right direction as opposed to years past. With the Tigers hosting Stroh this weekend, he gets the opportunity to familiarize himself with the campus as well as the staff. Tigers fans certainly hope that the coaching staff can land an elite offensive tackle and Stroh fits the profile.

Offensive line target Connor Stroh sets visit schedule

Auburn will host Connor Stroh on his first official visit.

Stroh included Auburn in his top five schools, which was rounded out with Texas, Arkansas, Texas A&M, and Florida. The Frisco, Texas native will visit each of these schools over the next two months.

He is ranked as the No. 397 overall player and No. 28 offensive tackle in the 247Sports composite ranking. Measuring in at 6-feet-7 and 345 pounds he has the ideal size to be a tackle in the SEC. He also competes in powerlifting and track and field for Wakeland High School.

Billy Napier personally offers massive OT during his Florida visit

Three-star offensive tackle Connor Stroh had the honor of receiving a scholarship directly from Florida head coach Billy Napier.

It’s not often that a prospect gets to meet with a school’s head coach in his office and be offered a scholarship in the midst of a visit. That’s exactly what happened during three-star offensive tackle [autotag]Connor Stroh[/autotag]’s trip to Florida on Saturday, according to 247Sports.

“I met with (Florida head coach Billy) Napier,” Stroh said on Sunday. “He took the time to wait for my tour to be over and personally offered me a scholarship in his office. It was great for me. It made me feel special.”

Napier made a strong first impression on him. Stroh believes he is a great coach and appreciates how he made time to personally meet with him and his family.

Florida is one of the latest SEC schools to offer him. He currently holds offers from Arkansas, Auburn, Ole Miss and Tennessee.

Hailing from Frisco, Texas, Stroh and his family spent the first part of the day at Florida State and then made the two-hour trip to the Swamp.

Besides being offered by Napier, one of Stroh’s favorite parts of his Gators visit was meeting offensive line coaches [autotag]Rob Sale[/autotag] and [autotag]Darnell Stapleton[/autotag].

He plans to visit Texas A&M, SMU and Arkansas later this month and wants to take official visits during the summer.

Florida may have jumped late into his recruitment, but its chances with him were elevated significantly because Stroh thoroughly enjoyed his visit.

The 247Sports composite rankings have Stroh as the 393rd overall prospect and the 28th best player at his position.
