Elsewhere in the Big 12, it was quite a significant weekend. In Bedlam, Oklahoma dominated Oklahoma State in all facets of the game. The Sooners rose four spots to No. 14, while the Cowboys dropped seven spots to No. 21.

Iowa State made a statement as well, shutting out Kansas State in Farmmageddon. The Cyclones now have sole possession of first place in the Big 12 and are ranked No. 15. They will travel to Austin on Friday hoping to put an end to Texas’ conference championship hopes.

Outside of the Big 12, the top of the poll remained the same. Notre Dame, Clemson, and Texas A&M all had bye weeks while Alabama and Florida pulled away in the second half for blowout wins.

Ohio State squeaked by Indiana in a shootout, giving the Buckeyes their best win of the season.

Last week the Texas Longhorns jumped back into the Amway Coaches Poll at No. 24 with a 17-13 victory over West Virginia. This past weekend the Longhorns were one of six Big 12 teams that had the week off. It was a wild weekend in college football as a whole with 15 games being cancelled. The Pac-12 Conference even scheduled one game (California-UCLA) for a Sunday morning kickoff. They weren’t on the schedule originally for this week.

The highest ranked Big 12 team continues to be the Oklahoma State Cowboys at No. 14. They are followed up by Iowa State at No. 16 and their opponent for Bedlam, the Oklahoma Sooners at No. 17.

Texas is back in the Amway Coaches Poll after beating West Virginia

Texas’ three-game win streak has put it back into the Amway Coaches Poll this week.

[jwplayer hzi9CxsE]

Texas kept its win steak alive after defeating West Virginia 17-13 on Saturday.

This was a great response coming off of its biggest win of the year last week, when it upset the No. 6 team in the nation. Following the Oklahoma State victory, the Longhorns sat just outside of the top 25 in the Amway Coaches Poll. They are now back in the rankings after winning three consecutive games.

The top Big 12 team continues to be the Oklahoma State Cowboys, who check in this week at No. 13 overall. Iowa State is the next conference opponent on the list at No. 16 after its win over Baylor. Oklahoma moved up one spot this week to No. 18 after blasting the Kansas Jayhawks 62-9. The Longhorns squeaked in at No. 24 after defeating the Mountaineers.

Auburn left out of latest AP Poll Top 25

The Tigers defeated Ole Miss 35-28 on Saturday in Oxford.

[jwplayer GHlwpr8W-er0jUifI]

Auburn’s win at Ole Miss didn’t impress the voters in the AP Poll much.

The Tigers are still unranked in the latest poll after beating the Rebels 35-28 on Saturday in Oxford. Gus Malzahn’s team is just out of the rankings with 41 votes, making them No. 31.

Bo Nix found Seth Williams for the game-winning touchdown with just a minute left in the fourth quarter. Williams caught a back-shoulder pass, juked a defender and then outraced the Ole Miss defense for the 58-yard score.

Tank Bigsby led the Tigers’ rushing attack with 129 yards and two touchdowns on 24 carries. Williams caught eight passes for 150 yards and the touchdown.
