After dropping their first game of the season in the Champions Classic against No. 1 Kentucky, the Michigan State Spartans enjoyed a get right game against Binghamton. The Spartans had a 21-4 edge in the turnover department, while Cassius Winston had a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds, helping the No. 3 Spartans cruise to a 100-47 win over the Bearcats. Against a talented Seton Hall team, Michigan State will need to come out just as sharp to erase the disappointment of its season-opening loss.

No. 12 Seton Hall will also enter this game off of a win over an America East opponent. Seton Hall got the better of the Stony Brook Seawolves by a 74-57 margin. Sandro Mamukelashvili led the Pirates with 17 points, while Romaro Gill added 10 points and 10 rebounds in the winning effort.. While the win was a positive for the Pirates, they will need to shoot better from beyond the arc than they did vs. Stony Brook, shooting 7-for-18 from three-point range.
