Now that spring football has officially wrapped up and the 2023 NFL draft is complete, it is time to shift our focus to the offseason.

Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide have a ton of questions marks exiting spring and fans are chomping at the bit for answers.

So as we dive into the dog days of summer, I thought we could take a look, position by position, and project the possible depth chart for the 2023 Alabama football team post-spring.

Together we have already taken a look at the quarterbacks and running backs and today we will continue our dive into the offensive skill positions and glance at the wide receivers.

Let’s roll!

2023 4-star WR Cole Adams officially signs with Alabama

2023 four-star wide receiver Cole Adams signed his National Letter of Intent to Alabama on Wednesday. He was one of the Tide’s longest-tenured commits.

2023 four-star wide receiver Cole Adams officially signed his national letter of intent to Alabama on Wednesday. The Oklahoma native had been committed to Alabama since June.

Adams is the No. 304 overall recruit on the 247Sports composite. He is listed as 5 feet, 10 inches and 180 pounds.

Despite an injury during his senior season, Adams is still signing with the Tide. His athleticism and speed certainly stand out. Adams ran a 10.65 in the 100 meters. The Tide could definitely utilize that speed in their offense next season.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to cover Alabama football and the early signing period as more commits sign their national letters of intent.

Top prospects in the Sooner State and where they’re headed in 2023

Where are the top Oklahoma prospects in the 2023 class headed?

The state of Oklahoma has some top-notch talent in the class of 2023. The Oklahoma Sooners have a commitment from 2022 Oklahoma Player of the Year Erik McCarty and are trending in a positive direction for the No. 2 player in the state, [autotag]Jacobe Johnson[/autotag].

They made serious plays for others in the top five of 247Sports top prospects in the state, but for one reason or another, those players decided to try their hand with another Power Five program.

Bai Jobe, the No. 1 player in the state, committed to Michigan State after spending his middle and high school years living in Norman. Oklahoma’s No. 3 player, Luke Hasz, decommitted from the Oklahoma Sooners after Lincoln Riley left for USC and hooked up with Sam Pittman and Arkansas to play his college ball. Dylan Hasz, his brother and the No. 17 player in the state in the 247Sports composite rankings is also going to Arkansas.

Athlete Micah Tease, a Tulsa native, also opted to head east with Hasz to play for the Razorbacks. Cole Adams, one of the top wide receivers in the state, opted to play for the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Oklahoma State currently has the most commitments from in-state prospects with DL Jaedon Foreman and OL JaKobe Sanders pledge to play for Mike Gundy and the Cowboys. However, if and when the Sooners get a commitment from Jacobe Johnson, Oklahoma will have the edge with the higher rated in-state prospects.

The only two uncommited prospects in the top 18 in the state of Oklahoma, wide receiver Morgan Pearson and running back Rickey Hunt, don’t have offers from the Sooners. Pearson has an offer from Oklahoma State and both have offers from Iowa State.

Though we’re still months away from the early signing period or national signing day, here’s a look at where the top prospects in Oklahoma are headed, according to 247Sports.

Alabama makes final three for 2023 WR, Jalen Hale

Alabama lands in top three for 2023 four-star wide receiver Jalen Hale.

Alabama has begun to see success with its 2023 recruiting class. Over the last month, the Tide has landed seven commitments. The positive recruiting news continued in Tuscaloosa on Thursday evening as 2023 wide receiver Jalen Hale released his top three schools. Alabama was one of the three schools listed.

There have been two wide receivers to join the 2023 recruiting class: Cole Adams and Malik Benson. Wide receivers coach Holmon Wiggins has done a phenomenal job so far and will look to continue his hot streak of landing receivers over the coming months. With Alabama being one of three finalists, they have to like their chances with the Texas native.

Hale is one of few wide receivers that the coaching staff has pursued heavily. Ideally, the staff would like to add just one more wide receiver. However, they would likely welcome two commitments. Hale is somewhat similar to former Alabama wide receivers Henry Ruggs and Jameson Williams in the fact that he also runs track. As a sophomore at Longview High School, he ran a 22.68 in the 200-meters.

Alabama Morning Drive: Tide adds speedy WR Cole Adams to 2023 class

Can anyone slow down Alabama’s momentum on the recruiting trail?

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen! Welcome back to another edition of Alabama Morning Drive. Now that we’ve made it to Thursday, we are just one day away from a long holiday weekend.

If you thought recruiting news had been hot, just wait to see what happens over the next few days!

Speaking of recruiting, Nick Saban and Alabama added one of the nation’s best slot receiver prospects to the class of 2023 on Wednesday night when four-star [autotag]Cole Adams[/autotag] announced his commitment to the Tide.

Adams is a playmaking wideout from Oklahoma who chose the Crimson Tide over the in-state Sooners and other high-level programs such as Arkansas, LSU, Michigan State, Tennessee, and Texas A&M.

Let’s take a look at a few other stories that Tide fans should be following.

2023 Four-star WR Cole Adams announces his commitment to Alabama

Alabama lands a key commitment from the 4-star 2023 WR out of Oklahoma!

As Alabama prepares for the rapidly approaching 2022 college football season, the coaching staff keeps a close eye on the recruiting trail.

Though there’s still plenty of time until these prospects put pen to paper and get to campus, it’s neat to see the future of the Crimson Tide take shape.

Today, Cole Adams announced he would be committing to Alabama over other elite programs from across the nation.

Roll Tide Wire continues his recruiting profile breakdown below.

For the second weekend in a row, the Sooners will host a number of prospects for official visits

Another weekend in Norman sees another wave of official visitors from Florida, Nebraska and Texas.

The University of Oklahoma has had an outstanding month of June. The football team is hosting prospects for their official visits, and the softball team just won another national title to go back-to-back.

Oklahoma football would love to hoist a national championship trophy of its own sooner rather than later.

For that to happen, the Sooners must continue to recruit well, which is why this weekend is important: a new wave of potential Sooners descends upon Norman for official visits.

While last week takes the cake in terms of the sheer number of prospects on campus, this week offers a very valuable opportunity for the Sooners to connect and move forward with 2023 prospects who hold the Sooners in very high regard.

The ChampU BBQ drew more than 20 visitors to campus. While the number this weekend will not match that, some major names are worth watching as the weekend starts. We’ve taken the liberty of listing every official visitor heading to Norman this weekend.

In-state 4-star WR Cole Adams receives offer from the Oklahoma Sooners

After losing the commitment of Ashton Cozart, the Sooner immediately jump at the opportunity to extend an offer to in-state star Cole Adams.

Oklahoma has remained true to Brent Venables’ commitment to making sure the best players in Oklahoma don’t leave the state. Well, at the very least they are trying.

While the number one player in Luke Hasz was at one point a Sooners commit, he’s now heading to the Arkansas Razorbacks. That hasn’t stopped Oklahoma who is knee-deep in multiple recruiting battles for three of the remaining top five prospects in the state per 247Sports.

That list of recruiting battles just got a bit longer as the Sooners sent an offer to four-star wide receiver Cole Adams out of Owasso, Oklahoma. Adams is rated as the fifth-best player in the state.

He’s a dynamic player for his high school team. He’s not the biggest but with the ball in his hands, Adams finds ways to make plays as a runner on jet sweeps or catching the ball as a receiver. Adams fits perfectly in a slot role or he can play outside where his film shows him winning vertically multiple times. He even shows a willingness to block, which is about as an unselfish a play a wide receiver can make on the football field.

With Ashton Cozart’s flip from Oklahoma to Oregon, it only made sense the Sooners would add another wide receiver target to their board. Oklahoma will look to play catchup in the race for Adams and use the summer to make up some ground now that an official offer is out there
