Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, David Njoku ruled OUT vs. Dolphins

The Browns will be without linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah and tight end David Njoku against the Dolphins

The Cleveland Browns will be without two of their key contributors when they take on the potent Miami Dolphins this Sunday. The Browns have ruled out both linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah and tight end David Njoku today as they continue to work through injuries.

This will mean Sione Takitaki will get another opportunity to play a good chunk of WILL (where he thrived on Monday Night Football) next to Deion Jones, while the offense will have to adjust through the air without their second-leading receiver. Cleveland found a way to win without them against the Cincinnati Bengals, and now they will look to test their luck again against the Dolphins.

Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, Perrion Winfrey return to practice

The Browns get Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah and Perrion Winfrey back at practice as the Dolphins loom

As the Miami Dolphins inch just two days away, the Cleveland Browns get two defensive players back at practice. Linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, who was sidelined against the Cincinnati Bengals, and Perrion Winfrey both returned to the practice field, while tight end David Njoku worked with the trainers on the sideline.

This is a good sign for Owusu-Koramoah to return to the field against the Dolphins this week, while Njoku is still in wait-and-see mode with a high ankle sprain he suffered against the Baltimore Ravens. Looking to win two-in-a-row for the first time this season, the Browns will need their best foot forward and a healthy lineup against the Dolphins this Sunday.

Browns Injury Report: Cleveland getting healthier as Dolphins near

The Browns are getting healthy at the right time with only one player missing from practice on Thursday.

Coming off of the bye week, the Cleveland Browns are getting healthier by the day. Still four out of practice, and only one was not spotted on the field.

Trending in the right direction as we creep closer to Sunday, all of right tackle Jack Conklin, a vastly improved tight end David Njoku, and linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah were on the bikes. Rookie defensive tackle Perrion Winfrey was the only player who was not at practice, missing his second practice in a row with an illness.

Meanwhile only tight end Hunter Long was the only player who missed practice for the Dolphins, working through the concussion protocol.

Browns still missing Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah and David Njoku from practice

The Browns are without four in today’s practice, including David Njoku and Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah

As the Miami Dolphins are next on the menu for the Cleveland Browns, they are returning to relative health. During today’s practice, only four players were held out of practice. The big names sidelined were linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah and tight end David Njoku. Both players missed the game against the Cincinnati Bengals as well.

Outside of the Owusu-Koramoah and Njoku, the Browns were also down two rookies due to illness. Both cornerback Martin Emerson and defensive tackle Perrion Winfrey were listed with an illness.

We are still only at the mid-week point and we will get a better understanding of who will be available against the Dolphins later in the week. Defensive ends Myles Garrett and Jadeveon Clowney joined Amari Cooper and Joel Bitonio for a day of rest as well.

Browns Injury Report: 8 missing with Bengals arriving in four days

The Browns are without eight players in practice today as they prepare for a Monday Night Football showdown against the Cincinnati Bengals.

As the Cleveland Browns prepare for the Cincinnati Bengals, eight players were listed as “did not practice” on their initial injury report. Missing from practice today are tight ends David Njoku and Pharaoh Brown, defensive ends Myles Garrett and Jadeveon Clowney, linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, guard Wyatt Teller, and cornerbacks Greedy Williams and Denzel Ward.

Njoku has stated his ankle is getting better every day, but it would be a miracle if he played Monday night. Expect the likes of Garrett, Clowney, Owusu-Koramoah, and Williams back at practice tomorrow. There is still no timeframe for the return of Teller or the two who remain in the concussion protocol in Ward and Brown.

Browns will activate LB Deion Jones from IR for bout vs. Ravens

As the Browns prepare for the Ravens, they will activate linebacker Deion Jones from Injured Reserve

The signs were clear that linebacker Deion Jones would make his debut for the Cleveland Browns tomorrow against the Baltimore Ravens. However, that is now official as The OBR’s Brad Stainbrook has reported that the former Atlanta Falcon will be activated from Injured Reserve today. The Browns may ask quite a bit out of him right away as well, as they have been prepping him to wear the green dot.

From linebacker Dakota Allen being released from the active roster this week, to Jones himself saying he was “ready to go,” it seems as though the former Pro Bowler has had his sights set on this Ravens game after missing the game against the New England Patriots a week ago. For a defense that cannot stop a nosebleed, it cannot get worse with Jones set to appear in the middle of the Cleveland defense.

Browns rule out Wyatt Teller, Denzel Ward vs. Ravens

The Browns will be without three starters against the Ravens

As the Cleveland Browns look to get back on track against the Baltimore Ravens this Sunday, they will be without three starters as guard Wyatt Teller and cornerback Denzel Ward have been ruled out. Reserve offensive lineman Joe Haeg has also been ruled out with a concussion as well.

Cornerbacks Martin Emerson and Greedy Williams will once again fill in for Ward and Hjalte Froholdt will fill in for Teller at right guard. Defensive ends Jadeveon Clowney and Isaac Rochell has also been listed as questionable.

It looks, however, like the Browns will get linebacker Deion Jones back to make his debut in the brown and orange. After two full weeks of practice, the coaching staff is optimistic about his communication style and ability to contribute early on.

Deion Jones will not make Browns debut vs. Patriots

The Browns will not activate Deion Jones from Injured Reserve for their matchup against the Patriots.

While cornerback Greedy Williams is set to make his season debut for the Cleveland Browns, newly-acquired linebacker Deion Jones will not be activated from Injured Reserve. Per Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, we will have to wait another week to see Jones rep the brown and orange for the first time.

Jones was designated for return by the Browns this week, but the team has 21 days to activate him from that moment. With just one week of practice under his belt since shoulder surgery in May (as well as learning a new defensive playbook), it makes sense for the Browns to keep a roster spot for a player that can make an impact against the New England Patriots.

The Browns enter a back-to-back stretch of division rivals after this Sunday, so that would be great timing for Jones to suit up.

CB Greedy Williams set to make season debut vs. Patriots

The Browns get a boost as Greedy Williams looks primed to make his return vs. the Patriots

With Denzel Ward set to miss Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots, the Cleveland Browns are getting a boost back to their 53-man roster just in time. After returning to practice last week, cornerback Greedy Williams is set to make his season debut.

No official news has dropped yet with the activation of Williams, but his tone in his press conference said it all.

“Everything has been crisp and clean… Just out there making plays and re-establishing myself. I build that trust back with the team, and they see I’m ready. That’s all that matters.” (via Anthony Poisal of Cleveland Browns)

In 2021, Williams was the top cornerback off the bench when the Browns would give nickel and dime looks when nickel Troy Hill was injured. with both Ward and Greg Newsome also missing games a year ago, Williams racked up a total of eight starts. He has started 20 games in two seasons, missing the entire 2020 season as well.

“Very excited… Can’t wait.”

Neither can we, Greedy. And with the injury to Ward, Greedy might be thrust right back into a big role right away.

Browns rule Denzel Ward, Jadeveon Clowney out vs. Patriots

The Browns will once again be without two defensive starters

The Cleveland Browns will be without both Denzel Ward and Jadeveon Clowney this Sunday as the New England Patriots come to town. As Ward is still working through the concussion protocol, it was obvious he would miss this matchup. There was the reason, however, to believe the Browns were just resting Clowney as he is still nursing a bad ankle; it turns out he may have reaggravated it by playing too early against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Neither player had practiced all week, so this news is not completely out of the blue. However, the Clowney news is unsettling as he was their best run defender from a week ago. Offensive lineman Joe Haeg has also been ruled out of Week 6 action.

With Greedy Williams potentially coming off of Injured Reserve this week, he could get the start this week opposite Greg Newsome. Either way, he and Martin Emerson will get a great deal of playing time should Williams be activated. Expect Alex Wright to get the start opposite Myles Garrett.
