First look: New York Giants at Cleveland Browns odds and lines

Looking at Sunday’s New York Giants at Cleveland Browns Week 3 NFL odds, lines and trends. Here’s what you need to know.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The New York Giants (0-2) travel to meet the Cleveland Browns (1-1) at Cleveland Browns Stadium in Week 3 on Sunday. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET (FOX). Below, we look at Giants vs. Browns odds from BetMGM Sportsbook’s NFL odds before making our expert NFL picks and predictions later in the week.

The Giants were belted 28-6 in Week 1 against the visiting Minnesota Vikings, not even coming close to a cover. In Week 2, New York managed to lose 21-18 to the Washington Commanders in a unique way. In fact, the Giants were the 1st team in NFL history to score 3 or more TDs in a single game without allowing a TD, while still losing in regulation.

The good news for the G-Men is that QB Daniel Jones was much better, with 2 TD throws, and no miscues, while rookie WR Malik Nabers went over 100 yards, and he looks like the real deal.

For the Browns, they grinded out an 18-13 road win against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 2 on the road after getting buried 33-17 by the Dallas Cowboys in the opener at home. The defense was strong yet again, allowing just 127 yards on the ground and 196 yards through the air, with one of those plays a 66-yard downfield breakdown in coverage.

First look: Cleveland Browns at Jacksonville Jaguars odds and lines

Looking at Sunday’s Cleveland Browns at Jacksonville Jaguars Week 2 NFL odds, lines and trends. Here’s what you need to know.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Cleveland Browns (0-1) and the Jacksonville Jaguars (0-1) meet in a Week 2 battle at EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville, Fla. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET (CBS). Below, we look at Browns vs. Jaguars odds from BetMGM Sportsbook before making our expert NFL picks and predictions later in the week.

The Browns laid an egg at home in Week 1 against the Dallas Cowboys, suffering a 33-17 loss as a 2-point favorite as the Over (42.5) cashed. The defense did well, allowing 102 rushing yards and 163 passing yards, but the offense was a mess, and most of the production came after the game was already decided.

Cleveland also had 11 penalties for 64 yards, which needs to be cleaned up. On a positive note, the Browns were 2-for-2 in red-zone efficiency, but it was minus-2 in turnover ratio due to a pair of QB Deshaun Watson INTs.

The Jaguars went down to Miami for Week 1 and had a competitive game, falling 20-17. Jacksonville did cover at most shops as a 3.5-point underdog as the Under (49) easily connected. Jacksonville led 17-7 at halftime, and that’s how the score stayed until late in the 3rd quarter when the Dolphins hit an 80-yard TD pass which seemed to turn the tide.

The Cleveland Browns (4-2) and Seattle Seahawks (4-2) meet for a Week 8 matchup at Lumen Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:05 p.m. ET (FOX). Below, we look at Browns vs. Seahawks odds from FanDuel Sportsbook. Also see: SportsbookWire’s NFL picks and predictions.

The Browns outlasted the Indianapolis Colts on the road in a wild 39-38 victory Sunday in a game which featured 4 lead changes in the 4th quarter. The win came at a price, as QB Deshaun Watson aggravated his shoulder injury after just 5 pass attempts while the team also saw RB Jerome Ford exit early.

The Seahawks were without WR DK Metcalf, but WRs Jake Bobo and rookie Jaxon Smith-Njigba stepped up to fill the void in a 20-10 victory against the Arizona Cardinals. The Under has cashed in 3 straight games for Seattle.

The Browns stunned the previously unbeaten San Francisco 49ers in the rain, slop and wind in Cleveland on Sunday, posting a 19-17 win as an 8.5-point underdog. It was even more improbably considering the upset was done with QB PJ Walker, making his 1st start with the team, as QB Deshaun Watson missed a 2nd straight game with a shoulder injury.

The Colts suffered a 37-20 road loss in Jacksonville, their 2nd straight-up loss and no-cover against the Jaguars this season. The Over is 2-0 vs. Jacksonville, and 4-2 in 6 games overall. Indianapolis is 3-1 ATS in 4 games against everyone not named the Jaguars, too.

The Ravens suffered a stunning loss at home in Week 3 against the Indianapolis Colts, falling 22-19 in overtime as 7.5-point favorites as the Under (44.5) connected. Dobbins, who is on the IR after tearing his Achilles in Week 1, on the shelf.

The Cleveland Browns (1-0) and the Pittsburgh Steelers (0-1) meet next Monday night for a Week 2 AFC North Division battle. Kickoff from Acrisure Stadium is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. ET (ABC/ESPN+). Below, we look at Browns vs. Steelers odds from BetMGM Sportsbook. Also see: SportsbookWire’s NFL picks and predictions.

The Browns surprised the visiting Cincinnati Bengals in the rain and slop along the shores of Lake Erie, winning the 1st installment of the Battle of Ohio 24-3. Cleveland cashed as a 1-point favorite as the Under (46) easily connected. RB Nick Chubb hit triple digits with 106 rushing yards.

The Steelers were on the short end of a 30-7 score at home, as Pittsburgh was never in the game against the visiting San Francisco 49ers. Coach Mike Tomlin’s group slipped behind 20-0 before ever scoring, and the Steelers were forced to abandon the run early, becoming rather predictable against a big-time defense which just pinned its ears back for most of the 2nd half.

The Cincinnati Bengals and the Cleveland Browns meet Sunday to open their 2023 NFL regular seasons. Kickoff from Cleveland Browns Stadium is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET (CBS). Below, we look at Bengals vs. Browns odds from BetMGM Sportsbook. Also see: SportsbookWire’s NFL picks and predictions.

Bengals QB Joe Burrow picked up a 23-10 win over the Browns in Week 14 last season, his 1st career win vs. Cleveland in 5 tries. It avenged an ugly Monday night loss by a 32-13 score on Halloween in Cleveland.

Browns QB Deshaun Watson begins his 1st full season as the starter in Cleveland after serving an 11-game suspension at the beginning of 2022. He threw for 276 yards and a TD in the Week 14 loss in Cincinnati, his only start against the Bengals last year.
