Russell Wilson and Ciara visit Seattle Children’s Hospital

Russell Wilson and Ciara visit Seattle Children’s Hospital

There’s always going to be a lot of mixed feelings among the 12th Man when it comes to Russell Wilson. There will always be gratitude, there will likely always be a sense of betrayal, and everything in between. But of all the aspects of Wilson’s somewhat complicated legacy, there is one thing that will always remain inaguable:

Russell Wilson is a fundamentally decent man.

Over the weekend, his wife Ciara was performing at Climate Pledge Arena as part of the opening days of a tour she is on. While in the Emerald City, Wilson and Ciara returned to a familiar place of theirs to spread some joy.

During Wilson’s tenure with the Seahawks, he made weekly visits to Seattle Children’s to visit with patients and families going through tough times. His visits surely brought a lot of smiles to those who needed it most.

The Wilson’s may no longer call Seattle, WA their home, but they have not forgotten this city and the children in it. For that, we tip our hat to them.

Ciara’s reaction to finding out she’s distantly related to Derek Jeter was priceless

Imagine finding out you’re related to THAT Derek Jeter. You would react like this too.

Singer Ciara recently learned she’s related to sports royalty, and her reaction was totally on-brand.

Sports and pop culture crossovers aren’t new, but what about DNA? What happens when an R&B star connects with an MLB Hall of Famer? You get distant cousins. That happened when singer Ciara recently appeared on PBS’s Finding Your Roots.

The Atlanta native and wife to Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson sat down to review possible DNA matches to others who had been guests of the series. As she turned the pages of a book that would reveal her likely family members, a familiar face stopped her in her tracks.

It was New York Yankees legend Derek Jeter.

In another on-brand response, Russell Wilson claims he had a feeling about Ciara’s newly discovered family member.

The Lions used Ciara’s ex Future to troll Russell Wilson so hard before win over Broncos

Well played, Ford Field.

Maybe this worked (I kid, but who knows?), but either way, the Detroit Lions did all they could to take down Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos.

While Wilson was warming up at Ford Field before Detroit handed him a 42-17 win on Saturday night in Week 15, reporters said that the PA was playing all hits by the star rapper Future. Why is that significant? Because Ciara — Wilson’s wife — is Future’s ex. And the rapper and Wilson haven’t exactly seemed like buddies over the years.

Well played, Ford Field DJ. Got him there. Here are the reports from before the game:

18 adorable photos of Ciara and Russell Wilson through the years

A look at the couple over the years with Wilson and Ciara now expecting a third child.

It’s one of the best combos of celebrity and athlete superstar: Ciara and Denver Broncos QB Russell Wilson.

The singer and the quarterback started dating in 2015, were engaged in 2016 and then got married later that year. Since then, they’ve had two kids: daughter Sienna, son Win, and in 2023, we found out they were expecting a third child. There’s also Ciara’s son with Future, Future Zahir. They’re quite active on Instagram all together.

So let’s take a look back at the pair over the years, with so many photos taken on red carpets, at Wilson’s games and so much more.

Here are the snaps:

Future may have take a shot at Russell Wilson in new Quavo collab: ‘[Expletive] Russell’

Could this be about Russell WIlson, who’s married to Future’s ex Ciara? Hmm.

In case you don’t know the history: Atlanta rapper Future used to be engaged to Ciara, and they had a child together. But they broke up in the mid-2010s and Ciara then married now-Denver Broncos QB Russell Wilson.

Got it? Good. Because it’ll come into play here. Quavo and Future dropped a new song on Friday called Turn Yo Clic Up, and there’s an NSFW lyric in it: “I got it out the field, [expletive] Russell.”

Hmmm. Could that be about Russell … Wilson? No official word either way, but the speculation about it is rampant, as you’d expect from Twitter:

Jamal Murray ignores Russell Wilson and Ciara after Nuggets win NBA Finals

Unfortunately, it’s just another example of the internet having a laugh at Wilson’s expense.

To say the last calendar year has been difficult for Russell Wilson is quite the understatement.

Last night, the Denver Nuggets won their first ever NBA Championship after they defeated the Miami Heat in five games. In attendance were a few notable Broncos, such as Peyton Manning, new head coach Sean Payton, and of course, Russell Wilson, his wife Ciara, and their kids.

As the Denver crowd was celebrating a Nuggets championship – something the Broncos have only accomplished once in the last 24 years – star point guard Jamal Murray walked past the Wilson family without even acknowledging them.

Of course, it’s hard to imagine Murray was intentionally ignoring them. He was most certainly more focused on celebrating with his team in the locker room than interacting with fans. .

Unfortunately, it’s just another example of the internet having a laugh at Wilson’s expense.

Russell Wilson has dinner with new Broncos coach Sean Payton

Broncos QB Russell Wilson had dinner with new coach Sean Payton in Arizona before the Super Bowl.

Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson dined with new coach Sean Payton in Arizona on Thursday evening. Wilson was accompanied by his wife, Ciara, Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Montana and Wheels Up CEO Kenny Dichter, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The dinner between the parties involved shows that the franchise could move in the right direction. The NFL’s quarterback and head coach dynamic are essential: serving as the difference between contracts signed, Super Bowls won, and careers derailed. Payton has a history of developing a winning culture around quarterback Drew Brees with the New Orleans Saints.

Wilson’s 2022 season was one he’d like to forget, posting career lows in touchdowns (16), passer rating (84.4), and competition percentage (60.5). So, the Broncos will lean on Payton’s expertise to develop Wilson into the Pro Bowl-caliber quarterback of old.

Dinner is a start, but the work between the two will happen on the field and in the film room.

Russell Wilson and Ciara donate $10,000 to Damar Hamlin’s toy drive

Russell Wilson and Ciara donated $10,000 to Damar Hamlin’s toy drive, and the QB’s foundation donated an additional $3,333.

Though he is on a different team and over 1,500 miles away, Denver Broncos’ quarterback Russell Wilson made a contribution to something that is bigger than football.

During the Monday night game between the Buffalo Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals, Bills safety Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field after making a tackle. During this scary time, Hamlin received life-saving measures and is now in critical condition inside of UC Medical Center in Cincinnati.

Almost immediately, prayers, letters and well-wishes from across the nation flooded in to the injured Hamlin. Donations from several prominent NFL superstars made their way to Hamlin’s “The Chasing M’s Foundation Community Toy Drive” GoFundMe page.

Wilson and his wife Ciara personally donated $10,000 towards this charitable cause, which is just a fraction of the outpouring of support towards Hamlin. Additionally, the Wilsons donated $3,333 from their “Why Not You Foundation,” in honor of Hamlin’s No. 3 jersey.

Prayers and tributes continue to pour in from all 32 teams as they anxiously await an update on Hamlin’s condition.

Russell Wilson purchases $25 million dollar Denver-area mansion

Former Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and his family have a new home.

Former Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and his family have a new home. Less than a week after putting their elaborate lakefront Bellevue, WA property on the market, the Wilsons are moving into their new residence in the Denver, CO area.

Wilson and his wife Ciara have purchased a $25 million dollar palatial estate in Cherry Hills Village, complete with an indoor pool, 12 bathrooms, home theater and a basketball court.

Wilson will have some notable neighbors. Those calling the surrounding area home include John Elway, Peyton Manning (who reportedly gave Wilson insight to the Broncos organization) and former head coach Mike Shanahan.

Interestingly enough, it was Shanahan himself who Wilson broke the aforementioned record for most expensive Denver-area home sold in history. Shanahan held the record when he sold his home last October for over $15 million.
