Wisconsin offers New Jersey’s No. 1 player in the class of 2022

Wisconsin extended an offer to New Jersey’s No. 1 player in the class of 2022 yesterday, looking to continue the strong New Jersey pipeline

The New Jersey pipeline has been strong for the Wisconsin football program throughout the years. Anthony Davis, Jonathan Casillas, Corey Clement, Jonathan Taylor and Jalen Berger are just some of the big names to come from the garden state to play for the Badgers.

Berger is the most recent high-profile recruit to take that path, and Wisconsin now may now be using their connection to his former high school to land another high-profile recruit.

That player is class of 2022 offensive tackle Chase Bisontis, New Jersey’s No. 1-ranked recruit in the class of 2022 and a new member of Wisconsin’s offer sheet.

Bisontis is 247Sports‘ No. 39 player in the class of 2022 and No. 3 offensive tackle.

How highly-touted is Berger’s former linemate?

He currently holds offers from Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State, Texas and numerous other high-profile FBS programs.

Wisconsin’s class of 2022 recently got off the ground with five commitments in the last week. Much more work is still left to be done, though, before the class rivals the program’s 2021 effort.

OT Recruit Chase Bisontis Latest to Get Offer From Notre Dame

Jeff Quinn continues to be on the move to build Notre Dame’s offensive line for the future.

Jeff Quinn continues to be on the move to build Notre Dame’s offensive line for the future. This week, we’ve already seen an offer for Tyler Booker from Florida. Now, we have one from Chase Bisontis, an offensive tackle from Ramsey, New Jersey, who just completed his sophomore season at Don Bosco Prep and weighs in at 6-foot-5, 275 pounds. This could amount to a couple of solid gets from Quinn in the same recruiting class.

Bisontis has lured offers from 19 schools thus far. Among those vying for his services in a couple of years are Florida State, Michigan State, Michigan, Ohio State, Arkansas and West Virginia. Brian Dohn of 247Sports projects him as a starter with an elite Power Five program. Based on the programs already looking at him when he’s not even a high school upperclassman yet, that’s sure to become a reality, and we naturally hope he’ll pick the Irish.

Mel Tucker and Michigan State Football will need to look outside of the Michigan area if they are going to survive and thrive in a Big Ten that has become very competitive on the recruiting trail, and it looks like they have selected New Jersey as one state to focus on.

On Tuesday, the Spartans offered 2023 4-star offensive tackle Chase Bisontis out of Don Bosco Prep in Ramsey, New Jersey. Bisontis is a 6’5″, 275-pound offensive tackle and the No. 3 ranked player in New Jersey for 2023. He is the No. 6 ranked offensive tackle in his class by the 247Sports rankings.

Tucker managed to land a 4-star offensive lineman in his 2021 recruiting class from New Jersey in Geno VanDeMark.
