2020 Pro Bowl: How to tune in, and which Saints are playing

New Orleans Saints players like Alvin Kamara and Drew Brees will get to reunite with Mark Ingram at the 2020 Pro Bowl. Here’s how to watch.

[jwplayer zrI1qaV9-ThvAeFxT]

There’s no telling what will happen at the 2020 Pro Bowl. Last year, New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara got on the field with the defense, and nearly sacked Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson. This year, Kamara is surrounded by teammates, including quarterback Drew Brees, wide receiver Michael Thomas, and three of the five Saints’ starting offensive linemen (Terron Armstead, Andrus Peat, and Larry Warford). Tight end Jared Cook, kick returner Deonte Harris, kicker Wil Lutz, and defensive end Cameron Jordan round out the pack.

It’s going to be a fun game, which is probably what the Saints are hoping for after another disappointing playoffs loss. The week of festivities, events, and hours spent at Disney World have to be a welcome reprieve for the players and their families.

Back to the Pro Bowl: the Saints will be playing on the NFC Team, led by Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll and his staff. The AFC Team is marshaled by Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh, with league MVP favorite Lamar Jackson starting at quarterback and a familiar face next to him at running back: Mark Ingram. It won’t take long for Kamara and the Saints to reunite with their former teammate.

Here’s everything you need to know so that you can tune in for the Pro Bowl:

We are onto the divisional round and for the first time in a long time, we won’t have the New England Patriots involved. The AFC is filled with future rivalries that we could see multiple times over the next few seasons. The NFC is wide open. This week there will be no ESPN/ABC game. We are set with the CBS, Fox, NBC triumvirate.

How to watch, wager, and stream New Orleans Saints vs. wild-card Vikings

The New Orleans Saints and Minnesota Vikings are scheduled to kick off in the playoffs wild-card round. Here’s how to tune in to the game.

[jwplayer MgrvgHyE-ThvAeFxT]

The NFL playoffs have hardly begun, and they’re already full of surprises. Saturday’s games in the wild-card round saw Deshaun Watson and the Houston Texans go down to the wire against the Buffalo Bills, but the biggest shock of the day arrived when New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady threw a pick-six in what may be his final pass attempt for New England.

So the Tennessee Titans advanced instead, and they’ll travel to face the top-seeded Baltimore Ravens next week while an entire generation of Patriots fans tries to figure out what they’re supposed to do now. Watson’s Texans are also going to hit the road for a divisional-round game with Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. But let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves.

You’re here because you want to see Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints exorcise some demons against the Minnesota Vikings. That game — along with a later kickoff between the Seattle Seahawks and Philadelphia Eagles — makes up the second leg of the NFL’s wild-card weekend, and there’s plenty of reasons to feel excited (or anxious) about it. The winner will advance. The loser’s season will be over. It’s pretty cut and dry.

Kirk Cousins’ team has underachieved this year, but they’re dangerous if they can begin firing on all cylinders with injured stars like wideout Adam Thielen and running back Dalvin Cook back in the fold. The Saints defense will be ready, though, with starting safety duo Vonn Bell and Marcus Williams expected to return.

If the Saints win, they’ll have finally put that one thing that happened in the 2017 playoffs behind them. They’ll also progress to the next round of the playoffs, for a road game at Lambeau Field with the Green Bay Packers. But like we said — there’s no sense in putting the cart before the horse. Here’s all that you need to know so that you can tune in for Sunday’s game.

Wild-card round schedule and television guide

The Titans and Patriots play on Saturday night on CBS, while the Vikings and Saints play on Fox on Sunday.

Normally, this is where you’d come for all your information on what part of the country will see what game. Well, that’s only for the regular season. Now we enter the postseason where every game gets its own national television window. There is no competition — save for a hockey or basketball game here or there — and we’re all stuck with the matchups we are stuck with. Let’s get right to it, shall we?

2019 NFL Playoffs: Saints vs. Vikings wild card game time, date established

The NFL announced the time, date, and broadcast info for its wild card round matchup between the New Orleans Saints and Minnesota Vikings.

[jwplayer z6PnsmL5-ThvAeFxT]

The New Orleans Saints will host the Minnesota Vikings during the wild card round of the NFL’s 2019 playoffs schedule, but they won’t have the most prominent time slot. And that may be a good thing.

Next weekend’s Saints-Vikings kickoff at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome is scheduled for Jan. 5, at 1:05 p.m. ET. (or 12:05 p.m. CT). The game will be broadcast on FOX. That lines up with a typical noon game for Saints fans, players, and coaches, which the team will probably appreciate. They won’t have to change their normal weekly practice schedule in any way, allowing them to proceed with business as normal.

Considering the single-loss elimination nature of the NFL playoffs, that’s all you can ask for.

The remaining games in the wild card round are scheduled for:

  • Saturday, 3:35 p.m. CT: Bills at Texans (ESPN/ABC)
  • Saturday, 7:15 p.m. CT: Titans at Patriots (CBS)
  • Sunday, 3:40 p.m. CT: Seahawks at Eagles (NBC)

Will Week 17’s Saints-Panthers game be broadcast in your area?

The New Orleans Saints will kick off with the Carolina Panthers, leading off a loaded slate of games for Week 17 of the NFL regular season.

[jwplayer XCLhdjYH-ThvAeFxT]

The final week of the NFL regular season is nearly upon us, with the New Orleans Saints flying out to Charlotte for a game with the Carolina Panthers. While the Panthers are effectively leaderless and on the ropes, the Saints have plenty to play for as far as the NFC playoff standings are concerned.

Still, Carolina won’t just bow down and let the Saints leave with a win. Even without Cam Newton at quarterback and Ron Rivera at head coach, they’re going to play hard in hopes of spoiling the Saints’ postseason chances.

But will you even be able to catch the Saints’ noon kickoff with the Panthers?Check the coverage map from 506sports.com, which shows that only the New Orleans and Charlotte markets are getting the game broadcast on FOX. Most of the country will be tuning in to see whether the destitute Detroit Lions can upset the playoff-bound Green Bay Packers, in a game that will be shown from coast to coast.
