Chance Warmack signs one year deal with Seattle Seahawks

Former Alabama All-American Chance Warmack will get his chance at an NFL comeback after signing a one year seal with the Seattle Seahawks.

Former Alabama All-American Chance Warmack will get his chance at an NFL comeback after signing a one year seal with the Seattle Seahawks. The financial terms of the agreement have not yet been released.

Warmack, who waa drafted in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Tennessee Titans, spent 3 years in Nashville before being joining the Philadelphia Eagles where he was a part of Super Bowl LII win, and spent two years with the Eagles mainly as a backup.

Warmack struggled to stay healthy even while in Tennessee. In 2016, he played in only two games before landing on injured reserve with a hand injury. He had started off strong for the Titans in 2013, and even started all 16 games at right guard in each of his first two seasons, but injuries kept holding him back.

So much so, that he focused on getting strong and healthy during the 2019 season.

With his new deal, he will get a shot to prove he can get back to where he was 7 years ago, alongside former Alabama teammate, DJ Fluker.

There’s no doubt that Warmack has the talent to become a huge asset for the Seahawks, he just has to remain healthy throughout the 2020 season.

Roll Tide Wire will release the terms of his 1 year agreement with the Seahawks, as soon as they’re available.

Report: Former Titans RG Chance Warmack agrees to terms with Seahawks

Chance Warmack is back in the NFL.

Former Tennessee Titans right guard and first-round pick Chance Warmack has reportedly found a new home in the NFL.

According to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, Warmack has agreed to terms on a contract with the Seattle Seahawks.

The 28-year-old sat out the 2019 season to get healthy, but will now resume his career in Seattle.

The Titans selected Warmack with the No. 10 overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, but he didn’t pan out for Tennessee after four seasons. His final season came in 2016 when he played in just two games after needing surgery to repair an injured hand.

He signed with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2017 and spent two seasons there, playing in 20 games but starting in just three.

The signing is a solid one for the Seahawks, a team in need of offensive line help. Warmack has the potential to bounce back and should come cheap, which makes this a low-risk, high-reward signing for Seattle.

Seahawks agree to terms with guard Chance Warmack

The Seattle Seahawks continue to collect free agent offensive linemen, agreeing to terms with Chance Warmack, a former first round pick.

The Seattle Seahawks have added another offensive lineman into the mix, agreeing to terms with former first round pick Chance Warmack, according to his agent Ron Slavin and confirmed by Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Warmack did not play in 2019 due to injury, but he has 51 career starts to his name, almost all of them coming at right guard.

He was a first round pick in the 2013 NFL draft after an accomplished career at Alabama, going 10th overall to the Titans. He spent four years in Tennessee before playing two years in Philadelphia with the Eagles, appearing in 20 games but only starting three.

Now, he’ll join B.J. Finney, Brandon Shell and Cedric Ogbuehi as newcomers on Seattle’s offensive line in 2020. With Mike Iupati and Germain Ifedi both free agents, and George Fant already gone, this team will have a very different looking offensive unit next season.

Warmack, 28, is likely just a depth signing and a potential camp body, although his pedigree makes him a worthwhile gamble on a team filled with inexperienced guards.

Should the Texans take a look at former Titans guard Chance Warmack?

The Houston Texans have two veteran guards in Senio Kelemete and Zach Fulton. Should the Texans look at upgrading the interior offensive line?

The Houston Texans have a strong veteran presence in their interior offensive line with center Nick Martin, guards Zach Fulton and Senio Kelemete, and center-guard Greg Mancz.

Fulton could be a salary cap casualty, and Kelemete would cost Houston $750,000 in dead money if they desperately wanted to part with the 29-year-old.

If Houston got rid of either Fulton or Kelemete, a name to keep in mind would be former Tennessee Titans and Philadelphia Eagles guard Chance Warmack. The former 2013 first-round pick from Alabama has been out of football for a year since being active for the Eagles in nine games in 2018.

Fulton will also be 29 years old in September, and the former Kansas City Chief has been a part of a rebuild of the offensive line. Whereas Fulton was starting 15 games at right guard for the Texans in 2019, Warmack was out of football.

Left guard is anchored by former 2019 second-round pick Max Scharping. It is unlikely even coach Bill O’Brien, who has a penchant for playing veterans over younger players, would upend the Northern Illinois product for Warmack. The only place where Warmack would have a chance to make the Texans would be replacing Kelemete.

If Houston thought offensive line coach Mike Devlin could get Warmack to play at a higher level than he was in Philadelphia, then he might be worth a spot on the 90-man roster. Warmack would have to prove he could be part of the team’s best five-man unit along the offensive line.

Former Titans OG Chance Warmack looking to make a comeback in 2020

Former Titans guard Chance Warmack is trying to make a comeback in 2020.

Former Tennessee Titans guard Chance Warmark sat out the 2019 season after playing the previous two years with the Philadelphia Eagles as a backup.

Before that, Warmack was a former first-round pick (No. 10 overall) of the Titans in the 2013 NFL Draft and was the team’s starting guard for the first three years of his career, but never panned out.

His fourth and final year in Tennessee ended early after he was placed on IR two games into the season with a hand injury.

But Warmack is apparently looking to get back into the swing of things and make a comeback in 2020, and according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, there are teams interested in his services.

Despite his lack of success in the NFL, it’s not a shock teams are going to kick the tires on Warmack. Teams will look at any way they can improve their respective groups upfront, and Warmack presents an opportunity to do so at what should be a cheap cost.
