See it – Notre Dame’s locker room celebration

What was it like inside Notre Dame’s locker room following the upset over Clemson? Take a look and find out!

It’s been 27 years since Notre Dame knocked off a top ranked team in the nation.

I was seven years old and as much as I wish it wasn’t the case, I wish I remembered the Irish knocking off No. 1 Florida State back in 1993 better than I do.

What I can say now is that I’m thrilled beyond belief that I don’t have to go search YouTube to find old, non-HD videos to see Notre Dame knocking off No. 1 after their win over Clemson on Saturday.

It was 27 years in the making and worthy of celebrations that I’m certain will go long into the night for many.

But what was it like inside Notre Dame’s locker room following the 47-40, double-overtime win over Clemson?

Why don’t you take a peak for yourself courtesy of the Notre Dame Football social media team:

Congrats, Notre Dame fans!

Watch: Ole Miss debuts fitting celebration prop

In the history of celebratory props being used in college football, perhaps none have ever been as fitting as what Ole Miss debuted on Saturday.

If you’ve followed college football since 2017 when Miami debuted the “Turnover Chain” you’ve seen a variety of different celebratory props.

And if you’ve followed college football at all since ever, you’re aware of the different scandals that have rocked the sport when it comes to paying players under the table or with the old “bag man” that would make his way to get players cash in order to get them to make a commitment to their respective programs.

One of the programs that has had multiple issues with players getting paid and sanctions being handed down has been Ole Miss.

On Saturday, during their first game under new head coach Lane Kiffin, Ole Miss debuted their own celebratory prop that couldn’t be more perfect.

It’s one thing to run from a controversial past but its entirely another to fully embrace it.

I’m sure some hate it but I can’t help but tip my cap in respect to Ole Miss for living their truth in a celebratory way.

Expect to see plenty of ‘Mile High Salutes’ from Von Miller in 2020

Broncos linebacker Von Miller says he’s bringing back the Mile High Salute ‘heavy’ this season.

Denver Broncos outside linebacker Von Miller plans to bring back a popular celebration to the Mile High City this fall.

“Bringing back the ‘Mile High Salute’ heavy this season,” Miller wrote on his Instagram page last week.

The Mile High Salute was popularized by former running back Terrell Davis during the 1990s. Davis, the Broncos’ all-time leader in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns, was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2017.

Denver’s current running back, Phillip Lindsay — who grew up watching Davis — wears T.D.’s old jersey number (30) and he has used the salute as a touchdown celebration. It looks like Miller plans to join in on the fun this season, perhaps using the salute as a sack celebration like he did as a rookie.

Miller, 31, has totaled 106 sacks in his career.

New Bear Cole Kmet Treated to Social Distance Celebration

Saturday saw suburban Arlington Heights, along with people from plenty of surrounding towns as well I’m sure, celebrate Cole Kmet from a safe, social distance.

How would you describe Chicago and the surrounding area to folks that have never been there?

Winters are brutal, nobody does summer better, deep dish is great but we have our fair share of excellent tavern style pizza as well and just remember the lake is to the east and you’ll always no which way you’re going.

Chicago and the surrounding area, actually the majority of the midwest that I’ve seen loves when a local kid does something big.  That was the case Friday night as Cole Kmet was selected by the Chicago Bears with the 43rd overall pick.

Saturday saw suburban Arlington Heights, along with people from plenty of surrounding towns as well I’m sure, celebrate Cole Kmet from a safe distance.

This is the least surprising thing I’ve seen for a Chicago suburb.  I know Illinois doesn’t get the love nationally for producing high school football talent that Florida, Texas or California and nor should they but the state knows how to celebrate their own as well as anyone.
