Cowboys C Tyler Biadasz appears unlikely to play vs. Cardinals

The Cowboys elevated a pair of centers from the practice squad to the active roster ahead of their game against the Cardinals.

The Dallas Cowboys officially listed center Tyler Biadasz on the final injury report as questionable after injuring his hamstring during the week. After missing practice on Friday, it appears he will not play on Sunday when the Cowboys face the Arizona Cardinals in Week 3.

Among the roster moves the Cowboys made on Saturday, they elevated two centers from the practice squad — former Cardinals center Sean Harlow and center Brock Hoffman.

The Cowboys did not have any center listed on their depth chart behind Biadasz. Elevating the two suggests Biadasz won’t be able to play.

Of course, it might not mean much as the Cardinals have lost their two most talented defensive linemen (L.J. Collier and Carlos Watkins) to biceps injuries.

If Harlow plays, it will be the only player connection between the two teams.

The Cowboys must make defensive adjustments leading up to their game against the Cardinals on Sunday.

The Arizona Cardinals are big underdogs this week as they take on the 2-0 Dallas Cowboys at home Sunday. But Dallas will come to town without one of their most important defensive players.

Per multiple multiple reports and later confirmed by the Cowboys themselves cornerback Trevon Diggs injured his knee in practice on Thursday and tore his ACL. He will miss the game against the Cardinals and the rest of the season.

Through two games, Diggs has four tackles, an interception, a forced fumble and four pass breakups.

DL Carlos Watkins out indefinitely, needs biceps surgery

Watson needs biceps surgery and, like L.J. Collier, will be out perhaps the rest of the season.

The Arizona Cardinals have suffered another big bow to their defense. Starting defensive lineman L.J. Collier and starting safety Budda Baker already have landed on injured reserve.

Defensive lineman Carlos Watkins, who replaced Collier in the starting lineup, will join them.

He suffered a biceps injury on Sunday and, according to head coach Jonathan Gannon, will need surgery. He will be out indefinitely, which means we can expect to see him placed on injured reserve this week, meaning he will miss playing the team he played for the last two seasons.

Collier is also out indefinitely after biceps surgery. It is unlikely either will return this season.

Baker will return but must miss at least the next four games.

Watkins is the Cardinals’ most accomplished and veteran defensive lineman. Watkins has seven tackles, a sack, a tackle for loss, a quarterback hit and a tipped pass in two games.

Watkins, in his seventh season, signed a one-year deal with the Cardinals in the offseason.
