Auburn announces depth chart for Iron Bowl

Auburn is shaking up the starting lineup at wide reciever.

The Auburn Tigers are looking to close out the regular season with a bang when they take on the Alabama Crimson Tide in the ___ edition of the Iron Bowl

The Tigers are looking to put their shocking 31-10 loss to New Mexico State behind them and are making some changes on the offensive depth chart. The Tigers are shaking up the starting rotation at all three wide receiver spots, with each featuring multiple starters.

[autotag]Caleb Burton III[/autotag] is now listed as a starter at slot receiver, while [autotag]Malcolm Johnson Jr.[/autotag] and [autotag]Camden Brown[/autotag] are now possible starters at the outside spots.

All three of them have seen their roles increase recently as [autotag]Hugh Freeze[/autotag] and Co. look to spark a struggling passing attack.

Here is a look at Auburn’s full depth chart for Saturday’s game, which is set to start at 2:30 p.m. CT and will be on CBS.

Depth Chart Overview

Fair caught two passes last season but appeared in nine games as a true freshman. However, Auburn brought in [autotag]Caleb Burton III[/autotag] over the offseason and the two will now be battling for reps behind starter [autotag]Ja’Varrius Johnson[/autotag] in the slot.

If Fair can hold off Burton then he has a chance to see his playing time rise significantly as Auburn has not shied away from its desire to heavily rotate at all three wide receiver spots.

Five star wide receiver includes Ohio State in top twelve schools

Five-star 2022 receiving prospect Caleb Burton III released his top twelve schools Wednesday and Ohio State is in the mix.

Ohio State is in the running for another top-flight receiver.

The top pass-catcher in the 2022 recruiting cycle according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings released his top twelve schools Wednesday and the Buckeyes are included. At 6-foot, 165-pounds, Caleb Burton is a receiver every school wants. He’s out of Del Valle, Texas, and has an offer from almost every major football power you can think of.

It’s no secret why Burton is looking at OSU. The Buckeyes have become a destination for top receivers because of the passing scheme, NFL talent, and coaching with Brian Hartline manning the coaching post for the room.

The other schools in Burton’s list include Florida, Alabama, Stanford, Texas, Oklahoma, Clemson, USC, LSU, Auburn, Oregon, and Georgia.

It’s way too early to get too excited here, but as things progress, we’ll keep an eye on where his recruitment goes as far as interest both ways. There is no timetable on a decision yet.
