Auburn remains on top of final Bushnell/Golfweek coaches poll for 2023-24

It’s the final polls of the season.

With wins in each of its last five tournaments, including an SEC Championship victory for its first conference title since 2018, Auburn is No. 1 for the third time in the last four Bushnell/Golfweek Division I Coaches Poll. The Tigers received 18 first-place votes and 496 points on May 3. 

Vanderbilt (one first-place vote), Arizona State (one first-place vote), North Carolina, and Tennessee rounded out the top five, while Florida State, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Washington, and Alabama completed the top 10.

Meanwhile, North Georgia remains on top of the D-II poll, where it has remained the entire season.

Auburn moves into top spot in Bushnell/Golfweek men’s college golf coaches poll for March 1

Who are the No. 1 teams in men’s college golf?

The Bushnell/Golfweek Division I coaches poll has a new No. 1 for the first time in 2023-24: Auburn.

After the Tigers stormed to finish second in the Southern Highlands Collegiate on Feb. 27, they received 11 first-place votes and 462 points, nine more than five-time previous No. 1 North Carolina (six first-place votes and 453 points). 

Vanderbilt (two first-place votes), Arizona State and Washington rounded out the top five, while Ole Miss, Tennessee, Arizona, Oklahoma, and Arkansas completed the top 10.

In Division II, North Georgia is No. 1 for the fifth straight time, receiving all 19 first-place votes and 475 points in the process.

Here’s a look at the top teams in the April 14th rankings.

After a win in the Mason Rudolph Championship, Vanderbilt continues as the top-ranked team in the Bushnell/Golfweek Division I men’s college golf coaches poll for April 14. The Commodores received 19 first-place votes and 523 points in the process. 

North Carolina (one first-place vote), Texas Tech, Arizona State and Illinois (one first-place vote) rounded out the top five, while Florida State, Pepperdine, Auburn, Stanford and Florida completed the top 10.

In Division II, Anderson remains the top-ranked team. Similar in Division III, Emory is holding on to the top spot. Keiser passed Lindsey Wilson to retake No. 1 in the NAIA poll. New Mexico JC and South Maintain are on top in the NJCAA polls.

Here’s a look at the top teams in the March 24 rankings.

After two top-three finishes in March, including a win at the Cabo Collegiate against a field that included nine other ranked teams, Vanderbilt continues as the Bushnell/Golfweek Div. I coaches poll top-ranked team for March 24. The Commodores received 18 first-place votes and 473 points.

Vanderbilt is far from the only team to remain in the top spot. In Div. II, Anderson also remained in the top spot, receiving 12 first-place votes and 324 points.

Meanwhile, in Div. III, Emory moved up two spots to regain the top spot, passing Methodist and Christopher Newport. Lindsay Wilson passed Keiser to take No. 1 in the NAIA poll. In NJCAA, Hutchinson and Mississippi Gulf Coast are the teams leading the pack.

Hutchinson (one first-place vote), Midland, McLennan, and Western Texas round out the top five, while Eastern Florida State, Dodge City, Indian Hills, Odessa, and Wallace State completed the top 10.

After receiving five first-place votes and 68 points, New Mexico Junior College grabbed its first No. 1 ranking of 2022 in the Nov. 18 Bushnell/Golfweek NJCAA Division I Coaches Poll. Hutchinson (two first-place votes and 65 points) was close behind.

Midland, Dodge City, McLennan, Indian Hills, Western Texas, Eastern Florida State, Odessa, and Wallace State complete the top 10.

After receiving four first-place votes and 67 points, Hutchinson remains No.1 in the Oct. 28 Bushnell/Golfweek NJCAA Division I Coaches Poll. New Mexico JC (three first-place votes and 59 points) is keeping pace at No. 2, and Dodge City, Midland and Odessa round out the top five.

Eastern Florida State, Western Texas, Indian Hills, McLennan, and Central Alabama complete the top 10. Barton CC, Garden City, Jefferson State, and Ranger were others receiving votes.

South Mountain (AZ) received two first-place votes and 37 points en route to the top spot in the Oct. 28 Bushnell/Golfweek NJCAA Division II Coaches Poll. Glendale (two first-place votes and 35 points), Kirkwood (31 points), and Parkland (27 points) were within 10 points of the Cougars.

Iowa Central, Southeast (NE), Walters State, Mississippi Gulf Coast, Meridian and Sandhills, making its first appearance of 2022-23, complete the top 10.

Abraham Baldwin, Cleveland State CC, Northeast Mississippi, Des Moines Area, and Northeast were others receiving votes.

Hutchinson, South Mountain maintain the top spots in the Bushnell/Golfweek junior college coaches polls.

New Mexico Junior College garnered five first-place votes but only 70 total votes overall, as Hutchinson hangs on to the top spot in the latest Bushnell/Golfweek NJCAA Div. I Coaches Poll.

Hutchinson received two first-place votes and and 75 points overall. Midland, tied for seventh, also received a first-place vote.

Eastern Florida State, Odessa and Dodge City round out the top five.

McLennan, Western Texas, Midland , Central Alabama and Indian Hills make up the rest of the top 10.

These are the final Bushnell/Golfweek Coaches Polls of 2022 for men’s golf in NJCAA Div. I and Div. II.

These are the final Bushnell/Golfweek Coaches Polls of the spring 2022 men’s golf seasons for NJCAA Div. I and Div. II.

The Div. I season came to a close on Friday, May 13, at the 2022 NJCAA Division I Championship.

Meanwhile, the 2022 NCAA Division II Championship will take place May 16-20 at TPC Michigan in Dearborn, Michigan.

NJCAA Div. I

Hutchinson won the 2022 NJCAA Div. I Men’s Golf National Championship by 20 strokes at the Odessa Country Club in Odessa, Texas.

It’s the second straight national title for the Blue Dragons who finished 22 under. Odessa was second at 2 under, Midland CC was the only other team to finish under par at 1 under. New Mexico JC was fourth at even par and Eastern Florida State College was fifth at 5 over.

With this title, Hutchinson, located in Hutchinson, Kansas, also finished No. 1 in the final spring 2022 Bushnell/Golfweek NJCAA Div. I Coaches Poll.

Determining the individual title required extra holes, as Midland (Texas) sophomore JT Pittman outlasted Hutchinson’s Dominic Clemons in a two-hole playoff to win medalist honors.

This top-10 poll reflects the order of finish at the 2022 national championship.

Mississippi Gulf Coast regains the No. 1 ranking in the final spring 2022 Bushnell/Golfweek NJCAA Div. II Coaches Poll.

South Mountain (Arizona) collected four first-place votes, two more than MGC received, but it’s the Bulldogs sitting on top of the poll after garnering 63 total points compared to the Cougars’ 62.

The top five is completed by Kirkwood, which received one first-place vote, followed by Parkland and Meridian.
