North Carolina, North Georgia among those atop latest Bushnell/Golfweek coaches polls for men’s college golf

North Carolina, North Georgia, Methodist, Keiser, Odessa, Mississippi Gulf Coast are the No. 1 teams.

The latest Bushnell/Golfweek coaches polls for men’s college golf are out and there’s a new No. 1 in Division I.

North Carolina has flipped spots with Auburn at the top, garnering 12 first-place votes to the Tigers’ 10, while also collecting six more overall points. Vanderbilt received two first-place votes and sits in third with Arizona State and Ole Miss rounding out the top five.

The big movers this week are Texas Tech (up six spots to No. 8 and Alabama (up 12 spots to No. 9).

Texas A&M and Georgia entered the poll this week after being unranked last time.

Golfweek is once again partnering with Bushnell to bring you the men’s college golf coaches polls.

It was just three months ago that Florida knocked off Georgia Tech to win the NCAA Championship.

Now, believe it or not, college golf is back.

To help tee things up for the upcoming season, Golfweek is once again partnering with Bushnell to bring you the men’s college golf coaches polls.

This is the preseason poll as we set the table for 2023-24. The polls will be released once a month after that for all the divisions.

It’s a familiar spot for the Vanderbilt men’s golf team.

The Commodores have finished the regular season where they started it, in the top spot in the Bushnell/Golfweek Div. I Coaches Poll. Vanderbilt received 19 of the 20 first-place votes and 498 total points in this latest poll.

North Carolina, Arizona State, Illinois (which received the remaining first-place vote) and Texas Tech make up the rest of the top five.

Stanford, Florida State, Pepperdine, Georgia Tech, and Florida check in at Nos. 6 through 10.

San Diego State and Wake Forest joined the poll after not being ranked the last time out.

Here’s a look at the top teams in the April 14th rankings.

After a win in the Mason Rudolph Championship, Vanderbilt continues as the top-ranked team in the Bushnell/Golfweek Division I men’s college golf coaches poll for April 14. The Commodores received 19 first-place votes and 523 points in the process. 

North Carolina (one first-place vote), Texas Tech, Arizona State and Illinois (one first-place vote) rounded out the top five, while Florida State, Pepperdine, Auburn, Stanford and Florida completed the top 10.

In Division II, Anderson remains the top-ranked team. Similar in Division III, Emory is holding on to the top spot. Keiser passed Lindsey Wilson to retake No. 1 in the NAIA poll. New Mexico JC and South Maintain are on top in the NJCAA polls.

Here’s a look at the top teams in the March 3 rankings.

The Golf Coaches Association of America has released its second Bushnell/Golfweek men’s college golf coaches polls of the spring semester, and there are some familiar names on top.

In Division I, Vanderbilt strengthened its grip on the top spot. The Commodores received 20 first-place votes and had 500 points. Meanwhile, Texas Tech moved into the No. 2 position.

In Division II, Anderson (SC) also held on to the No. 1 position.

Christopher Newport (Div. III) and Keiser (NAIA) also held on to their spots. IN NJCAA Div. I, Hutchinson jumped New Mexico JC to take the top spot.

Anderson (South Carolina) is No. 1 for the second consecutive Bushnell/Golfweek Division II Coaches Poll.

The Trojans received 13 of a possible 18 first-place votes and 444 points in the process. They were followed in the top five by Barry (five first-place votes), West Florida, Lee and Grand Valley State. Oklahoma Christian, North Georgia, Henderson State, Nova Southeastern, who jumped from No. 13 to No. 9, and Sonoma State round out the top 10.

Clayton State rose six spots from No. 18 in the October 28 poll to No. 12, and Tampa to No. 13 from No. 17. Saint Leo (No. 17), Carson-Newman (No. 20), Northeastern State (No. 23) and Stanislaus State (T-24) each entered after receiving votes on October 28.

There were 25 others received votes.
