Two teams are No. 1 for the first time ever in the Bushnell/Golfweek Div. I Coaches Polls

These polls are for the week of Nov. 1, 2024.

The Ole Miss men’s golf team is No. 1 for the first time ever in the Bushnell/Golfweek Div. I Coaches Poll.

The Rebels have won two fall tournaments and finished no worse than second in two others. They received 15 first-place votes and 489 total points and have vaulted from No. 6 to the top spot.

Oklahoma, with four first-place votes, slides back from No. 1 to No. 2. Auburn (one first-place vote), Arizona State and Texas round out the top five.

Washington & Lee is No. 1 for the first time ever in the Bushnell/Golfweek Div. III Coaches Poll. The Generals broke multiple team records while winning the Golfweek October Classic and received 10 first-place votes and 274 points in the process. Their rise to the top ends an 11-poll run by Methodist, which got one first-place vote and now sits in the No. 2 spot.

These polls are for the week of Oct. 11, 2024.

With consecutive wins at the Valero Texas Collegiate on Sep. 23 and Ben Hogan Collegiate on Oct. 1, Oklahoma has been elevated into the top spot in the latest Bushnell/Golfweek Div. I Coaches Poll for Oct. 11, 2024.

The Sooners received seven first-place votes and 388 points, five more than previous No. 1 Auburn (eight first-place votes and 383 points).

Arizona State, Virginia (one first-place vote) and Vanderbilt rounded out the top five.

After a fourth straight tournament victory at the WWU Invitational, Colorado Christian maintained its No. 1 ranking for the third consecutive Bushnell/Golfweek Div. II Coaches Poll. The defending national champion Cougars received nine first-place votes and 249 points.

North Georgia (one first-place vote), Oklahoma Christian, West Florida, and Georgia Southwestern rounded out the top five.

Auburn remains on top of final Bushnell/Golfweek coaches poll for 2023-24

It’s the final polls of the season.

With wins in each of its last five tournaments, including an SEC Championship victory for its first conference title since 2018, Auburn is No. 1 for the third time in the last four Bushnell/Golfweek Division I Coaches Poll. The Tigers received 18 first-place votes and 496 points on May 3. 

Vanderbilt (one first-place vote), Arizona State (one first-place vote), North Carolina, and Tennessee rounded out the top five, while Florida State, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Washington, and Alabama completed the top 10.

Meanwhile, North Georgia remains on top of the D-II poll, where it has remained the entire season.

Auburn moves into top spot in Bushnell/Golfweek men’s college golf coaches poll for March 1

Who are the No. 1 teams in men’s college golf?

The Bushnell/Golfweek Division I coaches poll has a new No. 1 for the first time in 2023-24: Auburn.

After the Tigers stormed to finish second in the Southern Highlands Collegiate on Feb. 27, they received 11 first-place votes and 462 points, nine more than five-time previous No. 1 North Carolina (six first-place votes and 453 points). 

Vanderbilt (two first-place votes), Arizona State and Washington rounded out the top five, while Ole Miss, Tennessee, Arizona, Oklahoma, and Arkansas completed the top 10.

In Division II, North Georgia is No. 1 for the fifth straight time, receiving all 19 first-place votes and 475 points in the process.

Here’s a look at the top teams in the April 14th rankings.

After a win in the Mason Rudolph Championship, Vanderbilt continues as the top-ranked team in the Bushnell/Golfweek Division I men’s college golf coaches poll for April 14. The Commodores received 19 first-place votes and 523 points in the process. 

North Carolina (one first-place vote), Texas Tech, Arizona State and Illinois (one first-place vote) rounded out the top five, while Florida State, Pepperdine, Auburn, Stanford and Florida completed the top 10.

In Division II, Anderson remains the top-ranked team. Similar in Division III, Emory is holding on to the top spot. Keiser passed Lindsey Wilson to retake No. 1 in the NAIA poll. New Mexico JC and South Maintain are on top in the NJCAA polls.

Vanderbilt remains top team in Bushnell/Golfweek men’s college golf coaches polls for March 24

Here’s a look at the top teams in the March 24 rankings.

After two top-three finishes in March, including a win at the Cabo Collegiate against a field that included nine other ranked teams, Vanderbilt continues as the Bushnell/Golfweek Div. I coaches poll top-ranked team for March 24. The Commodores received 18 first-place votes and 473 points.

Vanderbilt is far from the only team to remain in the top spot. In Div. II, Anderson also remained in the top spot, receiving 12 first-place votes and 324 points.

Meanwhile, in Div. III, Emory moved up two spots to regain the top spot, passing Methodist and Christopher Newport. Lindsay Wilson passed Keiser to take No. 1 in the NAIA poll. In NJCAA, Hutchinson and Mississippi Gulf Coast are the teams leading the pack.

Anderson is No. 1 in first spring 2023 Bushnell/Golfweek Div. II Coaches Poll

The Trojans received 14 first-place votes and 422 points in the process.

Before teeing off at the LMU Spring Kick-Off on Monday, Anderson (SC) picked up where they left off fall 2022 as the Bushnell/Golfweek Div. II Coaches Poll’s No. 1 for Feb. 10.

The Trojans received 14 first-place votes and 422 points in the process. Barry (five first-place votes), West Florida, Grand Valley State, and Lee rounded out the top five, while Henderson State, Nova Southeastern, Oklahoma Christian, North Georgia and Sonoma State completed the top 10.

Sixteen others, including Lander, Florida Southern and Chico State, received votes.

Anderson finishes fall 2022 as No. 1 team in Bushnell/Golfweek Div. II Coaches Poll

Anderson (South Carolina) is No. 1 for the second consecutive Bushnell/Golfweek Division II Coaches Poll.

The Trojans received 13 of a possible 18 first-place votes and 444 points in the process. They were followed in the top five by Barry (five first-place votes), West Florida, Lee and Grand Valley State. Oklahoma Christian, North Georgia, Henderson State, Nova Southeastern, who jumped from No. 13 to No. 9, and Sonoma State round out the top 10.

Clayton State rose six spots from No. 18 in the October 28 poll to No. 12, and Tampa to No. 13 from No. 17. Saint Leo (No. 17), Carson-Newman (No. 20), Northeastern State (No. 23) and Stanislaus State (T-24) each entered after receiving votes on October 28.

There were 25 others received votes.

Anderson moves into Bushnell/Golfweek Division II Coaches Poll’s top spot for Oct. 28

Anderson (SC) is No. 1 in the October 28 Bushnell/Golfweek Division II Coaches Poll.

Moving up from No. 7 and with wins in all four of its fall tournaments, Anderson is No. 1 in the Oct. 28 Bushnell/Golfweek Division II Coaches Poll.

The Trojans, who received nine first-place votes and 404 points, defeated numerous poll regulars in a strong McCoy Wright Currahee Collegiate Invitational on Tuesday to cement their undefeated fall season.

West Florida (two first-place votes, 402 overall points) and Barry (five first-places, 399 points) were within five points of the Trojans, while Grand Valley State, who also won four fall tournaments, leaped from No. 17 to No. 4. Oklahoma Christian (one first-place vote), Lee, Western Washington, Henderson State, Sonoma State, and North Georgia complete the top 10.

Twenty-four others received votes.

New No. 1 as Barry men’s golf takes over top spot in Bushnell/Golfweek Div. II Coaches Poll

Barry flipped spots with the previous No. 1 team to take over the top spot.

Three teams received more first-place votes, but Barry men’s golf is the new No. 1 in the Bushnell/Golfweek Division II Coaches Poll.

Barry got the most overall votes and was able to flip spots with the previous No. 1 team, Lee, to take over the top spot.

Barry got two first-place votes but Lee received six. In the No. 3 spot is West Florida, which got five first-place votes, also more than Barry. North Georgia is No. 4 and Georgia Southwestern is No. 5.

Oklahoma Christian is No. 6 and in the No. 7 spot is Anderson (SC), which collected the remaining three first-place votes, also more than Barry. Anderson wasn’t ranked in the previous poll.
