Bucs Friday Week 4 Injury Report: Jamel Dean, three others out for Sunday

Four players are out and three are questionable heading into Sunday’s division rivalry game against the Saints.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be without four players and could possibly miss three more in their Week 4 game against the New Orleans Saints.

It seems as if the bye week can’t come soon enough for Tampa Bay, as four players — cornerback Jamel Dean, linebacker SirVocea Dennis, defensive lineman Calijah Kancey and CB Derek Pitts — were all ruled out for Sunday’s contest. Additionally, CB Carlton Davis, LB Devin White and DT Vita Vea are questionable.

Reports out of practice seem to indicate that Davis could be trending in the right direction for Sunday, and his return would be a much-needed addition for Tampa Bay. While White and Vea are listed as questionable, they appear to be on track to play Sunday.

Here is what the injury report looks like:

Meanwhile, the Saints are also dealing with injuries. Starters in CB Paulson Adebo, safety Jordan Howden and offensive guard Cesar Ruiz are all out for the contest and there are still questions remaining about quarterback Derek Carr, who participated in practice Saturday and could still go on Sunday.

Buccaneers rule two players out for Sunday’s finale against Falcons

See which two players have been ruled out by the Buccaneers for Sunday’s Week 17 finale against the Atlanta Falcons.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have ruled out two players for Sunday’s season finale against the Atlanta Falcons (and no, Bruce Arians is not one of them).

DL Beau Allen and WR Chris Godwin will miss the action. Godwin has been out since suffering a hamstring injury in Week 15’s win over the Detroit Lions, just one week after Mike Evans was lost for the year with his own hamstring injury.

Tampa Bay has the chance to finish the season on a high note by beating the Falcons. A win would put them at 8-8 on the year, making it their first non-losing season since 2016, when they went a surprising 9-7.

Quarterback Jameis Winston needs just 92 more passing yards to hit 5,000 on the season, which would make him the first Bucs quarterback ever to hit that mark. He’ll have to play with a thin receiving corps, but, as he’s proved all year long, he isn’t afraid to throw the ball.

Three Bucs have already been ruled out for Week 16’s game vs. Texans

Find out which three players the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have ruled out for Sunday’s contest against the Houston Texans.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are riding a four-game winning-streak heading into Sunday’s Week 16 matchup against the Houston Texans, but their ship is taking on water as they limp towards the finish line.

After already losing wide receiver Mike Evans for the year from a hamstring injury he suffered on a 61-yard touchdown against the Colts in Week 14, the Bucs lost Chris Godwin and Scotty Miller to hamstring injuries following Week 15’s win over the Lions.

While quarterback Jameis Winston continues his quest for 5,000 passing yards, he’ll have an extremely depleted receiving corps at his disposal Saturday. The Bucs have already gone ahead and ruled three players out for the Texans game, including two receivers.

Both Evans and Miller have been placed on IR already.

It’ll be interesting to see if this high-powered Bucs offense can keep up the pace with a bunch of reserves. It’s starting to feel more and more like a preseason game.

Jameis Winston trades a football for tennis balls at practice

Watch Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston toss tennis balls at practice instead of a football as he deal with a fractured thumb.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat the Indianapolis Colts last Sunday for their third-straight win and fourth in the last five games, but the victory came at a cost. After catching a 61-yard touchdown from quarterback Jameis Winston, wide receiver Mike Evans came up hobbling with a hamstring injury. He left the game and just this week the team announced the Pro Bowler will miss the remainder of the regular season.

Tampa Bay almost lost another star, too, after quarterback Jameis Winston suffered a hand injury during the game and began the second half on the bench before coming back in and leading the Bucs to victory. Winston was diagnosed this week with a fractured thumb, but the team is hopeful he can go Sunday against the Detroit Lions.

In practice on Thursday, Winston was on the field, but substituted the pigskin for another ball.

You can tell Winston is getting ready to play on Sunday since he also practiced fumbling the tennis balls and throwing them to the other team.

(Sorry, I couldn’t resist.)

Buccaneers inactives for Week 12 against the Falcons

Here is a list of inactive players for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers heading into Week 12’s game against the Falcons.

Above is your list of inactive players for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers heading into today’s Week 12 showdown with the Atlanta Falcons.

OLB Carl Nassib returns this week after missing the past two games with a groin injury, and Jason Pierre-Paul, who had been battling a knee injury earlier this week, will also be on the field today.

The Bucs and Falcons are both 3-7, though Atlanta has been playing some of their best football of the season of late. They’ve taken down both the Saints and Panthers in back-to-back weeks, outscoring them 55-12, while the defense for the Falcons tallied 11.0 sacks and four interceptions in that span.

Tampa Bay is coming off a home loss to New Orleans last week and are hoping to prevent another defeat, which would inch them closer to another losing record.
