The season’s theme for the Cleveland Browns is resiliency. The team has battled their way through injuries all season, and at 8-5 on the season, they’re winning a majority of those battles. Ford will have a week to heal before the Browns take on the Chicago Bears next Sunday.

Browns Injury Alert: S Grant Delpit leaves Jaguars game with groin injury

Cleveland Browns safety Grant Delpit exits the Jaguars game with a groin injury.

Cleveland Browns safety Grant Delpit went down with an injury during the fourth quarter against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The veteran safety injured his groin while he was blitzing Trevor Lawrence. Delpit jumped into Lawrence’s passing window and landed on Myles Garrett. Delpit was down on the field for quite a while before trainers were able to escort him off the field and into the medical tent. Delpit was later driven into the locker room on the cart. He is questionable to return. He is one of many starters to exit with an injury.

Grant Delpit played an up-and-down game against the Jaguars. The safety had a crucial sack on third down that knocked the Jaguars out of field goal range. However, Delpit found himself targeted in two major plays between Evan Engram and Lawrence. One resulted in a touchdown, the other resulted in a first down.

Browns Injury Alert: CB Cameron Mitchell leaves game vs. Jaguars

Cleveland Browns CB Cameron Mitchell leaves the Jaguars game with an injury.

Cleveland Browns rookie cornerback Cameron Mitchell exited the game against the Jaguars during the third quarter. Mitchell was slow to get up after Travis Etienne’s touchdown run and walked off the field with the athletic trainers. He was escorted to the medical attempt immediately.

The rookie cornerback is playing his first game all month after being activated from injured reserve. Mitchell suffered a severe hamstring injury in the game against the Cardinals.

Mitchell started at nickelback as the team moved Greg Newsome II outside to replace Denzel Ward. Mitchell is a great option at slot, he seeks out ball carriers with the intensity of a safety, and can still cover wide receivers. Mitchell has a bright future with the team.

The Browns have struggled mightily at the slot role over the last month as the team has lost multiple cornerbacks to injury. The team needs to find a way to replace the backup if he’s unavailable to play. The Browns are currently beating the Jaguars 21-14 heading into the fourth quarter.

Browns Injury Alert: DT Jordan Elliott ruled out with concussion vs. Jaguars

Cleveland Browns DT Jordan Elliott exits game vs. Jaguars for a concussion evaluation

Cleveland Browns defensive tackle Jordan Elliott exited the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars with an injury. He left at the two-minute drill during the second quarter. He has a concussion per Mary Kay Cabot. The Browns have been plagued with concussion injuries over the past month, as they’ve lost multiple starters to the injury.

Elliott is an important part of the defensive tackle rotation. His unique blend of size, speed, and strength makes him an asset against the run and passing game. He’s a valuable starter. The Browns have a deep defensive tackle room and will rely on Maurice Hurst II and Shelby Harris during the second half. The veteran duo are a commendable pair and should have no problem facing a depleted Jaguars offensive line.

The Browns’ defense has suffocated the Jaguars so far in the matchup. Elliott contributed for one tackle. The Browns are currently beating the Jaguars 14-7 heading into halftime.

Browns WR Amari Cooper leaves vs. Rams, evaluated for concussion

Cleveland Browns WR Amari Cooper leaves Rams game with apparent rib injury.

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper left the Rams game during the second quarter. Cooper was injured when sandwiched between two Rams defenders on a slant route. He stayed down on the field for moments before being escorted to the medical tent. Cooper suffered a rib injury last week against the Broncos when he was speared while attempting to catch the ball. He is being evaluated for a concussion.

Cooper received X-rays on his ribs after the hit that showed no broken bones. He missed Wednesday’s practice but practiced with the team for the rest of the week. The leading Cleveland receiver is questionable to return with a shoulder injury.

The Cleveland Browns need Cooper’s talents to help revive their dead offense. The receivers have been drive killers thus far today as dropped passes have plagued a rather sharp Joe Flacco. The team is currently losing to the Rams 7-10 in the second quarter.

UPDATE: Cooper has been ruled out the rest of the game.

Browns QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson exits Broncos game after dirty hit

Browns QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson leaves Broncos game with a concussion after suffering a dirty hit.

Thompson-Robinson was seen with a bloody lip when he was walking back into the locker room. He is being evaluated for a concussion.

The Broncos were flagged for a late hit on David Njoku during the third quarter. They are currently without their starting safety Kareem Jackson after he was suspended for multiple dangerous hits to opponents this season. The Denver Broncos are coached by Sean Payton who has an ugly history for running a bounty program.

Hopefully, the Browns will be able to leave the Broncos game with most of their health intact. The Cleveland Browns are currently losing to the Denver Broncos 12-24 entering the final quarter of the game.

Injury Alert: Browns DE Za’Darius Smith exits in second half vs. Broncos

Defensive end Za’Darius Smith leaves the Broncos game with an ankle injury.

Defensive end Za’Darius Smith walked off with trainers during the third quarter of this Week 12 matchup between the Cleveland Browns and Denver Broncos. The defensive end injured his ankle during a tackle on the first play of the second half. Smith walked into the locker room with trainers after being examined in the medical tent.

Until he returns (if he returns) expect a heavier workload for both Ogbo Okoronkwo and Alex Wright. The defense came up with a big three-and-out to start the second half, so getting Smith back into the lineup would give this Cleveland defense an added boost.

The Browns are losing to the Broncos 6-14 going into the end of the third quarter. The Browns need their pass rushers to stop a dynamic Broncos passing attack. The Broncos are taking advantage of a stalwart Browns’ defense.

McLeod started in place of Juan Thornhill, who missed the game with an injury. Undrafted free agent Ronnie Hickman Jr. from Ohio State will finish the game for McLeod. The Browns need good play from Hickman as the Steelers’ running backs are marching down the field against the Cleveland Browns. The game is currently tied 10-10 with 8 minutes left in the fourth quarter.

Browns: LB Anthony Walker Jr. questionable with hamstring injury vs. Steelers

Browns LB Anthony Walker Jr. leaves Steelers game with a hamstring injury. He is questionable to return.

In the second quarter, Cleveland Browns linebacker Anthony Walker Jr. exited the game with a hamstring injury. The veteran is being treated in the locker room and he’s questionable to return. Walker Jr. has played very well this season, completely recovering from a torn quadricep he suffered against the Pittsburgh Steelers last season. This has often been the case for the veteran linebacker this season.

As the signal caller, Walker has been an integral part of the Browns’ historically dominant defense. Browns’ veteran Sione Takitaki replaced Walker in the defense. Takitaki is a highly capable linebacker and should have no problem replacing Walker against the Steelers.

The Cleveland Browns are currently beating the Pittsburgh Steelers 7-0 halfway through the second quarter. No matter who is on the field for the Browns, the Steelers are struggling to move the ball.

Can they continue to hold up and pull out yet another win?
