Bills’ Bobby Hart suspended one game for post-game punch vs. Titans

#Bills’ Bobby Hart suspended one game for post-game punch vs. #Titans:

Buffalo Bills offensive lineman Bobby Hart has been suspended by the NFL for one game following his team’s matchup against the Tennessee Titans.

According to a release from the league, Hart violated the NFL’s unsportsmanlike conduct rules.

The statement says Hart swung a punch at a Titans player after the 41-7 final and missed, hitting a coach instead.

A statement released by the NFL’s Vice President of Football Operations Jon Runyan on the matter read:

“You walked directly across the field to seek out your opponent. You approached him near the end zone and a coach had to hold you back as others shook hands. Once you and your opponent were in the end zone near the tunnel, you confronted him and immediately swung at him with a closed fist, striking the head of a Tennessee coach. Your aggressive conduct could have caused serious injury and clearly does not reflect the high standards of sportsmanship expected of a professional.”

The Bills are slated to face the Miami Dolphins (2-0) in Week 3 on the road.

Hart has been on the field for 19 snaps on offense and 12 snaps on special teams through Buffalo’s first two games of the season.

Bills OL Bobby Hart suspended for punching Titans coach

Hart, who played for the Titans in 2021, got into an altercation with a Titans player after Monday night’s game and ended up striking a coach.

Buffalo Bills offensive lineman Bobby Hart got into a physical altercation with a Tennessee Titans player after the Week 2 game on Monday night, which led to him punching a Titans coach.

According to a release from the league, Hart, who also played for the Titans in 2021, and the unnamed Titans player got into a scuffle that was initiated by the Bills offensive lineman following the game.

In the fracas, Hart landed a blow on an unnamed Titans coach, which has led to the one-game ban. Per the league:

As both teams were heading to the tunnel, you walked directly across the field to seek out your opponent. You approached him near the end zone and a coach had to hold you back as others shook hands. Once you and your opponent were in the end zone near the tunnel, you confronted him and immediately swung at him with a closed fist, striking the head of a Tennessee coach. Your aggressive conduct could have caused serious injury and clearly does not reflect the high standards of sportsmanship expected of a professional.

Hart was one of the NFL record 91 players the Titans fielded in 2021, appearing in three games for Tennessee. Hart’s Bills got the better of Tennessee in Week 2, winning 41-7.

Buffalo Bills sign OL Bobby Hart again

#Bills sign OL Bobby Hart again:

The Buffalo Bills added a familiar veteran depth piece to their offensive line.

The team announced on Monday that lineman Bobby Hart was signed to a one-year deal.

Hart spent the 2021 season on and off Buffalo’s roster. Hart, an eight-year vet, was added to the Bills’ practice squad following training camp.

Hart was then signed off Buffalo’s practice squad by the Tennessee Titans but eventually returned after the Titans cut him.

Hart has played for the New York Giants and Cincinnati Bengals in his career. During that time, he appeared in 83 games, making 67 starts.

Slated to start at tackle in 2022 is Dion Dawkins and Spencer Brown. Tommy Doyle appears to be the favorite for the swing tackle job as well.

Bills elevate Isaiah Hodgins, Bobby Hart from practice squad ahead of Patriots meeting

#Bills elevate Isaiah Hodgins, Bobby Hart from practice squad ahead of #Patriots meeting:

The Buffalo Bills brought two players up from their practice squad on Friday ahead of their Week 16 meeting against the New England Patriots.

The team announced that wide receiver Isaiah Hodgins and offensive lineman Bobby Hart are the two taxi squad players now with the team.

In somewhat corresponding moves, the Bills (8-6) also signed two players to their practice squad. Those are wide receiver Austin Proehl and punter Jamie Gillan (They are not taking Hodgins & Hart’s spots, the Bills had openings.)

Both Hodgins and Hart being elevated have to do with the Bills (8-6) having players on their Reserve/COVID-19 list.

Over the past few days, both wide receivers Gabriel Davis and Cole Beasley ended up on the designation. Both are also unvaccinated, so they have already been ruled out vs. the Patriots (9-5).

Because of that, Hodgins will likely be active on game day as a depth player. He was a 2020 sixth-round pick by the Bills and would be making his NFL debut.

On the other hand, Hart has a chance of not suiting up.

Offensive linemen Dion Dawkins and Jon Feliciano have spent a bit of time on the Reserve/COVID-19 list already. Both are also vaccinated.

Per NFL rules, since they have gotten their shots, with one negative COVID test and no symptoms, they could return to play as late Sunday morning.

In that case, there’s a chance Hart would be inactive on game day even though he was called up.

Time will tell who can return from the COVID list.

Bills place A.J. Epenesa, two others on COVID-19 list

#Bills place A.J. Epenesa, two others on COVID-19 list:

The Buffalo Bills announced Monday that they placed defensive end A.J. Epenesa on the Reserve/COVID-19 list.

Offensive lineman Bobby Hart and defensive end Mike Love were each placed on the Practice Squad/COVID-19 list.

Epenesa is the fourth player on Buffalo’s active roster to test positive for COVID-19 in the last week. He joins linebacker Tyrel Dodson, left tackle Dion Dawkins, and offensive guard Jon Feliciano in the protocol.

Epenesa was listed as inactive for the Bills’ home game against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. Epenesa had dressed for every game but one this season prior to that, missing the Week 6 contest against the Tennessee Titans.

In 12 games, Epenesa has 0.5 sacks, 11 total tackles, and eight quarterback hits.

Hart has rotated around multiple practice squads this season. Love has been with the Bills all season on the taxi squad.

The increased positivity rate for Bills players follows a league-wide trend since the emergence of the highly contagious omicron variant of COVID-19. The NFL rescheduled multiple games this week due to breakouts.

The Bills have their largest game this season coming up with a meeting in New England on Sunday.

The Patriots are dealing with COVID-19 in their locker room as well placing four players on the COVID list on Monday.

Bills bring Bobby Hart back to practice squad

#Bills bring Bobby Hart back to practice squad:

The Buffalo Bills have brought offensive lineman Bobby Hart back into the fold.

The team announced on Thursday that Hart was signed to the practice squad.

In a corresponding move, recently signed cornerback Greg Stroman was released from the practice squad.

Hart was let go by the Bills just a day prior. Previously he was on the 53-man roster but was cut to make room for rookie Tommy Doyle, who was activated off Buffalo’s Reserve/COVID-19 list.

Hart previously spent the offseason with the Bills and was added to the PS after training camp. He was then signed off Buffalo’s practice squad by the Tennessee Titans but eventually returned after the Titans cut him.

Stroman was signed on Dec. 1 in the wake of Tre’Davious White’s season-ending knee injury to add depth at the cornerback spot.

Buffalo does still have the likes of cornerbacks Tim Harris and Nick McCloud on their practice squad.

Bills bring Bobby Hart back to 53-man roster

#Bills sign Bobby Hart:

The Buffalo Bills have brought back a familiar face along their offensive line amid some status concerns for the unit.

Offensive lineman Bobby Hart was signed as the team announced that move on Friday. On Sunday, Buffalo will host the Indianapolis Colts (5-5).

Hart previously spent the offseason with the Bills (6-3) and was on their practice squad after training camp. Hart, who joined Buffalo in the spring, was then signed off Buffalo’s practice squad by the Tennessee Titans.

Hart was just released by them this week.

The Bills have two big question marks along their front on offense.

Guard Jon Feliciano remains on the injury reserve list and he will not play vs. the Colts.

Also missing the Indy game and perhaps more time is offensive lineman Spencer Brown.

On Thursday, Buffalo announced Brown was placed on the team’s Reserve/ COVID-19 list. Brown had previously returned from a back injury recently.

Hart will likely serve as a depth option against the Colts.

Titans sign Kyle Peko to active roster among four moves

Peko earned one of the highest grades on defense in the Titans’ Week 10 win over the Saints.

The Tennessee Titans made four moves ahead of practice on Wednesday, one of which included signing defensive lineman Kyle Peko to the active roster.

Peko, who was previously on the Titans’ practice squad, played 23 snaps in the team’s Week 10 win against the New Orleans Saints. He registered the second-best overall Pro Football Focus grade on defense, and the best run defense mark.

In addition to that move, the Titans are bringing back offensive lineman Bobby Hart and defensive lineman Amani Bledsoe on the practice squad. Both players were waived from the active roster on Monday.

Finally, the Titans have designated tight end Tommy Hudson to return from Injured Reserve. A 2020 undrafted free agent signing of the Titans, Hudson has played in three games this season but hasn’t suited up since Week 4.

The Titans will return to practice on Wednesday in preparation for their Week 11 matchup against the Houston Texans at Nissan Stadium on Sunday.

Tennessee Titans waive OL Bobby Hart, DL Amani Bledsoe

The Titans made a pair of roster moves on Monday.

The Tennessee Titans made a pair of roster moves on Monday, waiving offensive lineman Bobby Hart and defensive lineman Amani Bledsoe.

Hart played in three games for the Titans after signing with them in October. He started in Week 9 against the Los Angeles Rams after left tackle Taylor Lewan was active but didn’t play. Hart struggled, though, posting a PFF grade of 25.5 and 39.6 in pass protection and run-blocking, respectively.

Bledsoe, a 2019 undrafted free agent signing of the Titans, appeared in five games for Tennessee this season, totaling one tackle and one pass defensed.

The Titans’ move to waive both likely means the team is confident in the health of both Lewan and defensive lineman Teair Tart, who has missed two of the past three games as well.

Tennessee does have two open spots on its practice squad, so it’s possible the team could bring Hart and Bledsoe back there. The Titans host the Houston Texans in Week 11.

Titans sign Bobby Hart, Greg Mabin among 4 roster moves

The Titans also designated Larrell Murchison and Daniel Munyer to return from IR.

The Tennessee Titans made four roster moves on Wednesday afternoon, including the signings of cornerback Greg Mabin and offensive tackle Bobby Hart to the active roster.

In addition, the team also designated defensive lineman Larrell Murchison and center Daniel Munyer to return from Injured Reserve. This opens their 21-day window to return to practice and be activated.

Mabin has spent multiple stints on the Titans’ practice squad since 2020, and was with the team in training camp this year before going on IR and being cut.

He was most recently on the Arizona Cardinals’ practice squad but didn’t play a snap with the team. He figures to factor into the equation as depth with the Titans being very thin at the cornerback position.

Hart is a six-year veteran, having spent time with the New York Giants and Cincinnati Bengals. He has appeared in 79 games during his career, 66 of which have been starts. He’ll provide depth upfront for Tennessee.
