Charles Woodson dropped an expletive on Big Noon Kickoff while defending Michigan, Jim Harbaugh

Michigan alumnus Charles Woodson is not happy about the whole Jim Harbaugh suspension thing.

The Michigan sign-stealing controversy reached a new nadir on Friday after coach Jim Harbaugh was suspended from the sidelines for the rest of the regular season by the Big 10.

No matter how you feel about this latest Wolverines fracas, the Michigan alumni have been the most vocal in sharing their malcontent about the whole situation and how Harbaugh has gotten roped in.

The Big Ten suspended Jim Harbaugh: The Michigan sign-stealing scandal, explained

The latest Michigan alumnus to jump into the discussion is former defensive back Charles Woodson, who did not mince words when describing Harbaugh’s suspension while appearing on Fox Sports’ Big Noon Kickoff.

In fact, he said the whole controversy was, in his words, “bull[expletive].”

Naturally, some NSFW language to follow.

Well, that is certainly one read of the situation!

Everyone seems to have an opinion on the Michigan sign-stealing fiasco, but few have gone the lengths of swearing on national television to get their point across.

It’s not likely any Michigan fans will be thrilled with what’s going on right now, regardless of if they feel the program is innocent or guilty.

No matter the charge, Harbaugh isn’t coaching this week, and some folks like Woodson are not happy about that.

Fox announces Big Noon Kickoff pregame is heading to Happy Valley

Fox will bring its traveling pregame show to Happy Valley before the Penn State-Michigan game in Week 11.

Penn State is one week away from hosting two-time defending Big Ten champion Michigan, and the national spotlight continues to shine brighter on the matchup. The game was already set to be Fox’s Big Noon Saturday game of the week, but Fox is pulling out all the stops for next week’s game.

Fox announced it will be setting up its traveling pregame show, Big Noon Kickoff, in State College next week.

This will be the second time this season Penn State has been involved in a game where the Fox pregame show traveled. Fox previously aired its pregame show from Columbus, Ohio ahead of the Penn State road game at Ohio State.

This will also be the second time Fox has brought Big Noon Kickoff to Happy Valley. The first visit came last season for a home game against the Buckeyes. Fox also aired Bib Noon Kickoff in Ann Arbor for last year’s Penn State-Michigan game.

Penn State is 2-5 all-time in games where the Fox pregame show visits.

Penn State football’s start time at Ohio State is locked in

TV and kickoff time for Penn State’s big road game at Ohio State was officially announced.

From the moment this season started for Penn State, the biggest hurdles expected to facing the Nittany Lions were its games against Ohio State and Michigan. The home game against the Wolverines was previously confirmed for a Big Noon Kickoff on Fox in November. Now, Penn State can officially add another Big Noon Kickoff to its schedule as well.

Ohio State officially announced the confirmed start time for next week’s game against Penn State on its social media account. The game is now confirmed for Fox’s Big Noon Kickoff, thus avoiding a potential primetime matchup with the Buckeyes in Columbus.

Depending on what happens this coming weekend, next week’s matchup with Ohio State should be a battle of unbeaten Big Ten teams, and potentially consensus top 5 teams. Penn State comes off a bye week this week with a home game against UMass. Ohio State will be on the road at Purdue. Both teams are big favorites this weekend to set the stage for a massive showdown in the Big Ten East.

Fox’s Big Noon Saturday trolled College GameDay by flying Washington State flags on set

So, the Washington State controversy is still a thing for some reason.

The ongoing Washington State drama, also known as the most pointless controversy of the college football season in some corners, took another turn Saturday morning on Fox Sports’ Big Noon Kickoff.

After Lee Corso’s misinterpreted comment sparked a misinformed comment from Wazzu coach Jake Dickert — and was sorted out like normal adults would in a misunderstanding — ESPN’s Pat McAfee and Desmond Howard tried to keep the mess going last week for some reason.

Well, now GameDay’s rival pregame show is jumping into the ring. Matt Leinart led a pro-Washington State flag-waving celebration on air this week on Big Noon Kickoff because, honestly, there just isn’t a lot going on this week besides the Red River Showdown, and you’ve got to fill the air somehow.

Seeing these grown men flying flags to troll another college football pregame show is just the “Let’s Go Fly a Kite” scene from Mary Poppins, only dumber.

Look, our current sports media landscape rewards the more salacious stuff like this as it spreads out over multiple weeks.

Everyone is always mad about everything, and now, Washington State has become the fixation of college football coverage for a controversy that apparently got resolved last month. In a few weeks, this will be forgotten because the bits will wither on the grapevine, like all stupid controversies in all sports do.

It’ll turn into something else dumb, like someone doing the horns down at an actual longhorn this week and getting chased around while McAfee does push-ups or something. Go Cougars; eat at Arby’s.

Fox not bringing pregame show to Penn State’s Big Noon Kickoff at Illinois

Fox announces surprising destination for Big Noon Kickoff pregame show in Week 3

After starting the season 2-0 and seemingly validating its consensus preseason top-10 ranking, Penn State will make its 2023 debut on the Fox broadcast lineup card in Week 3. Penn State will play its first road game of the season when it faces Illinois for Fox’s Big Noon Saturday game next weekend. But the Fox pregame show will not be making the trip.

It was announced by Fox that the network’s college football pregame show, Big Noon Kickoff, will be making a trip to Boulder, Colorado to highlight the 2-0 start by the Colorado Buffaloes. What makes this an interesting decision is this will be a second straight week in Boulder for the Fox pregame show.

Fox isn’t even broadcasting Colorado’s next game. Those rights reside with ESPN, which will air the Colorado-Colorado State game in the late-night west coast time slot.

And guess who’s also making the trip to Boulder? That’s right. ESPN’s College GameDay.

There has never been any rule set in stone that a network’s pregame show had to go to the site of the game of the week airing on that particular network, but it does seem slightly odd that Fox would stay in Colorado for a second straight week.

But it is fair to say the Colorado story has captured the attention of the college football world, so it makes sense for Fox to milk that for all it is worth and strike while the iron is hot. And maybe after the hours of Colorado love on the pregame show, Penn State will go out and make a statement of their own on the road at Illinois on the same network.

Penn State confirms kickoff times for five games in 2023

Penn State announces start times and TV info for four more games, updates one primetime matchup

Already with a few primetime matchups locked in for the upcoming college football season, Penn State now has four more games set for the 2023 season, including a pair of Big Noon Kickoff games on FOX. The highlight of the latest schedule updates from Penn State is the confirmed start time for the big home game against Michigan. And the first game to be made exclusively on NBC’s streaming app is now confirmed as well.

Penn State will host Delaware on September 9 with a noon kickoff. The game will be made exclusively available on Peacock, the streaming app from NBC. This will mark the first time Penn State will have a football game exclusively available on a streaming app, but it almost certainly will not be the last. All games appearing on NBC are also available on Peacock, but this is the first game to be exclusive to the streaming service.

Penn State will be featured in FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff time slot twice this season. A road game at Illinois on September 16 will be the Big Noon Kickoff game on FOX. As previously rumored, Penn State will get the Big Noon Kickoff timeslot for its home game against two-time Big Ten champion Michigan on November 11.

[lawrence-related id=33681]

Penn State also announced the start time for its home game against UMass on October 14, although the network airing the game is still to be determined. Given how the schedule is coming together, this could be a Big Ten Network game, but that is pure speculation at this point. No game has been designated for BTN at this point in time.

Penn State has also confirmed an adjustment to its primetime schedule. The whiteout game against Iowa, set for September 23 on CBS, has been moved up to 7:30 p.m. from 8:00 p.m.

That gives seven games on the schedule a confirmed start time and six of those have confirmed broadcast partners. Here is the breakdown of where Penn State has been confirmed for the programming schedule so far;

  • 2 games on NBC (with Peacock simulcast)
  • 2 games on FOX
  • 1 game on CBS
  • 1 game on Peacock

Big Noon Kickoff makes their picks between Ohio State and Michigan

Big Noon Kickoff makes their pick between Ohio State and Michigan #GoBucks

The Big Game has already kicked off and the Ohio State Buckeyes are driving down the field, but it is still interesting to know that every major pre-game show was in Columbus, Ohio, this morning, and the crew at Big Noon Kickoff was set up outside of the Horseshoe.

This is always my favorite pre-game show and it features memorable stars such as former USC teammates Matt Leinart and Reggie Bush as well as Ohio native and former Notre Dame star, Brady Quinn. They also feature two memorable stars from the rivalry itself in former coach, Urban Meyer, and former Michigan man and Heisman Trophy Winner, Charles Woodson.

The crew was consistent with their picks, all selecting the Ohio State Buckeyes to earn the big win, but Charles Woodson, who was seen hugging current Wolverine players, couldn’t help himself and selected the Wolverines.
