Best remaining players for the Saints on Day 3 of 2022 NFL draft

Day three is upon us and 15 players remain from our original top 100 big board for the New Orleans Saints. There are plenty of solid talents, that could start early on the right team, available. I wouldn’t say that there is anyone that is mind-blowingly available on day three, unlike years past. There are some really highly rated players available, but no one that should have been a first round talent or anything like that.

Here are the 25 best players available, with the rankings reset. If they were originally on that top 100 big board, their ranking in his in parentheses:

We have gotten through the first round of the 2022 NFL draft and while a lot of the top prospects are gone, but there are certainly some big names left from our top-100 big board. After some major reaches by other teams, there is a lot to like from the remaining players available for the New Orleans Saints. Sure, the Saints don’t have much to work with after trading up in the first round (their only pick on Friday is currently scheduled at No. 49 overall), but this is where they have made most of their trades, and more movement could be possible. Here are the names fans should watch for in the second and third rounds:

Top first round NFL draft prospects at positions of need for the Saints

The New Orleans Saints are set to address their top needs in Day 1 of the 2022 NFL draft. Here are the top prospects at each of their positions of need, via @RossJacksonNOLA:

The 2022 NFL draft officially begins today. The New Orleans Saints are set to select at pick Nos. 16 and 19. Whether they move up again or sit tight remains to be seen. But top candidates should be within reach either way at positions of need for New Orleans.

The Saints are in dire need of a dynamic wide receiver that can stretch the field opposite wideout Michael Thomas who is expected to make his return in 2022. They’ll also be looking to replace veteran assets at key positions. Left tackle is wide open with the departure of Terron Armstead and the team could use some safety help on defense after Marcus Williams took his new deal with the Baltimore Ravens and Malcolm Jenkins announced his retirement.

Perhaps the sneakiest need for New Orleans is in the defensive interior. The Saints have a lot of young talent, but only one bona fide starter in David Onyemata. Here are the top three prospects available at each position of need according to Saints Wire’s Dylan Sanders top 100 big board.

Cowboys Wire’s Top 100 big board for 2022 NFL draft

With 9 picks in the draft and multiple holes, will the Cowboys land multiple top players? @ProfessorO_NFL provides commentary on his top prospects.

With the 2022 NFL draft right at the doorstep,  I’ve compiled my Top 100 big board for your review. While this board will have multiple players who were Cowboys Top 30 visits, the big board was compiled as a league-wide list without taking into account scheme fits. This list is based on film study, ability to fit in multiple schemes, talent, age, injury concerns and other factors.

It’s important to note that some prospects will be drafted higher or lower than their individual ranking on the big board due to positional value and runs on a certain position. With that said, let’s jump into CowboysWire’s top 100 big board for 2022.

2022 NFL draft rankings: The Draft Wire 300

Draft Wire editor Luke Easterling ranks the top 300 prospects in the 2022 NFL draft

Welcome to draft week, NFL fans.

After months of breaking down game film, cataloging workout times, and trying to sift through the smokescreens, the 2022 NFL draft is just days away.

While this year’s class may lack a clear-cut top prospect, or a stacked quarterback group, it’s a crop of prospects loaded with quality depth at just about every position. It’s a great year to need pass rushers and pass catchers, as well as pass protectors and pass interceptors.

It’s time to reveal our final overall rankings for the top prospects in this year’s draft, graded across all seven rounds.

Here it is, the Draft Wire 300:

Saints big board: Top 50 players for New Orleans in 2022 NFL draft

Saints big board: Top 50 players for New Orleans to target in the 2022 NFL draft, via @DillySanders:

The 2022 NFL draft is fast approaching, which is a good and bad thing for me. Obviously, it is an intriguing time as a fan of football. Who doesn’t want to know who the next player for the New Orleans Saints will be? However, it means that my favorite time of the year is also coming to an end.

During my free time, I love to sit down and watch tape of way too many draft prospects and formulate opinions on them. Around this time of year, I put all of that together and make my own big board. It’s something that happens in every NFL war room ahead of draft day.

So here is the start of that, for now. Here are the top 50 prospects of the draft, ranked, according to me:

Broncos big board: Top 39 players for Denver in NFL draft

Here are some names to know as the Broncos prepare for the NFL draft.

Broncos Wire has identified defensive line, right tackle, inside linebacker, cornerback, running back, tight end and outside linebacker as the seven primary needs for the Denver Broncos in the 2022 NFL draft.

To give fans an early look at some of the top prospects at those positions, we’ve put together a list of 38 players who might be available for the Broncos during the draft (plus one more bonus player).

Keep in mind that many of the top first-round prospects in the draft did not make this list because they are unlikely to fall to Denver in the bottom of the second round, where the Broncos are scheduled to make their first pick.

Here are some of the top names to know as the draft approaches, sorted by position.

Where Georgia players rank in Mel Kiper’s NFL draft big board, position rankings

Georgia is going to dominate this NFL draft.

Georgia set a school record in the 2021 NFL draft when it had nine players selected.

This year, Georgia is looking to shatter that number with potentially as many as 15 players selected.

ESPN NFL draft analyst Mel Kiper recently updated his big board, which features his top-25 players for the upcoming draft. He also touched up his position rankings, where he ranks the top players at each position.

The big board features only two Georgia players, plus one former Bulldog. However, the position rankings are littered with UGA defenders from the national title team.

DRAFT STOCK: Former Alabama DL Phidarian Mathis trending upward

When is Phidarian Mathis expected to be drafted? The latest from recent projections.

Former Alabama defensive lineman Phidarian Mathis was a key contributor on the field for the Crimson Tide in 2021. His experience and ability to act as a leader made him a valuable teacher and mentor for the young players on the line.

Mathis had his best season in 2021, accumulating 53 total tackles nine sacks, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries and two blocked passes.

According to NFLMockDraft Database, Mathis was originally projected to be drafted on day three of the 2022 NFL draft, but it now appears that he’s expected to be a mid-second round selection at the earliest, and an early third round pick at the latest.

With a few months to go before the draft, things will certainly change, whether it be for better or for worse.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to follow Mathis’ draft position as the 2022 NFL draft gets closer.
