Latest BetMGM odds are growing in the Texas Longhorns favor

According to BetMGM oddsmakers, the Texas Longhorns opened at (-7.5) and that number is continuing to grow in their favor.

Following the loss to the Iowa State Cyclones on Friday, focus shifts to the Kansas State Wildcats. The Longhorns looking to get back on track after the 23-20 defeat snapped their three-game win streak. While all of the discussions surround the program involve the job status of Thomas Herman III, there are still games on the schedule to be played. Their final two will be played in the state of Kansas.

When the betting lines opened on Monday, the Longhorns were favored by a score at (-7.5). It appears that the money is coming on the Longhorns side as that number is appearing to grow with the updated odds. The opening lines have been released for the Texas Longhorns-Iowa State Cyclones game on Friday. The Longhorns will be the home favorites.

In less than a week, the Texas Longhorns will host the Iowa State Cyclones on senior night. There was no game last week for the home team as the Jayhawks game was postponed until Dec. 12 due to COVID-19 issues on the Kansas side. The Cyclones throttled Kansas State in their game over the weekend 45-0. Now the two teams will play to put themselves in the driver’s seat in the race to the Big 12 Championship game.

Updated BetMGM Odds: Line moving in favor of West Virginia

After opening as 7.5 point favorites, the spread has dropped one point per BetMGM. UT is now only favored by 6.5 against the Mountaineers.

After opening as 7.5 point favorites on Monday, the spread has dropped one point per BetMGM. Texas is now only favored by 6.5, meaning they can cover the spread by beating West Virginia by a touchdown.

This will mark the fourth occasion the Longhorns will going into the game as the favorite. Texas is 1-3-1 against the spread this season, only covering against UTEP in the season opener.

A win would be the Longhorns’ first Big 12 three-game winning streak since Nov. 2018 against Texas Tech, Iowa State, and Kansas. Tom Herman will once again be coaching to maintain his job for the rest of the season. A loss would be the second at home.

For West Virginia, they have gone on the road twice this year and lost both matchups. The first came against Oklahoma State, losing by two scores. On Oct. 24, the Mountaineers had a shocking loss in Lubbock, dropping one against Texas Tech.

It should be a fun one with the best scoring defense in the Big 12 coming to visit the best scoring offense in the Big 12.
