Predict Bears’ win-loss record for 2024 NFL season

The Bears have revealed their 2024 schedule. What are your early predictions for Chicago’s record?

The Chicago Bears have revealed their 2024 NFL schedule, which features some intriguing matchups in a favorable slate. The Bears’ over/under total has been set at 8.5, according to DraftKings.

In addition to facing their NFC foes twice, the Bears will play the NFC West and AFC South next season, which includes home games against the Los Angeles Rams and Jacksonville Jaguars, as well as away games against the San Francisco 49ers and Houston Texans.

With Chicago finishing fourth in the NFC North, they’ll also face the same-place finisher in the NFC East and NFC South. With that additional 17th game, they’ll host the AFC East same-place finisher.

For the third consecutive season, the Bears will open the season at home when they host the Tennessee Titans in a matchup that will feature Caleb Williams’ rookie debut in front of the Chicago faithful. The Bears will close the season against the Packers at Lambeau Field, for a second straight year, in a game that could have playoff implications.

The Bears have three prime-time games: Week 2 at Houston Texans, Week 15 at Minnesota Vikings and Week 17 vs. Seattle Seahawks. They’ll also face the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving and host the Jacksonville Jaguars in London during Week 6.

While it’s certainly too early to predict where the Bears will finish in 2024, that’s exactly why this schedule release exists. Now that you’ve had time to digest Chicago’s 2024 slate, what do you think the Bears will finish this season?

What’s the latest with the Chicago Bears?

The Bears unveiled their 2024 regular-season schedule this week, where we finally learned when Chicago will face their opponents. That includes kicking off Week 1 at home against the Tennessee Titans, three prime-time games, a holiday game and no division games until Week 11.

Here’s a look at the most recent and relevant Bears stories for the week of May 12.

The importance of the Bears’ Week 1 opener vs. Titans

The Bears have a chance to start the 2024 season on a high note with a win against the Titans in Week 1.

The Chicago Bears will open the 2024 season against the Tennessee Titans at Soldier Field, which gives Chicago a chance to start the season on the right foot.

Rookie quarterback Caleb Williams will make his NFL debut in a favorable matchup, which already feels like a must win during the early part of their schedule.

On the other side is quarterback Will Levis, who the Titans drafted in 2023. The Bears’ defense has an opportunity to make an early statement, which would support the new-look offense on its first day in action.

Chicago needs to get a win in this game. It would set a positive tone for the start of the season during what’s a favorable slate. Last season, the Bears’ suffered a rough loss to the Green Bay Packers in Week 1, which set the tone for what was a rough first half of the 2023 season.

Opening with a win against Tennessee would also help going into a big Sunday Night Football matchup against C.J. Stroud and the Houston Texans in Week 2. That will be a huge test against an elite team. Chicago can’t afford a possible 0-2 start.

Bears have one of the easiest schedules in 2024

The Bears have the third-easiest strength of schedule heading into the 2024 season.

The Chicago Bears made a lot of changes to their team in the last few months. Some great players will be joining the team for the first time in 2024. All of them hope to make a positive impact on the team right away. If they do, they might end up being a very respectable football team.

They haven’t been a winning squad since winning the NFC North in 2018. Coming in last place in 2023 may help them take a step in 2024, as they have one of the easiest schedules in the league.

The Bears have the third easiest schedule in the NFL, with a .467 average winning percentage for their 2024 opponents. Only the New Orleans Saints (.453) and Atlanta Falcons (.453) have easier slates. It’s the definition of a last-place schedule for Chicago. This may be the last year that they have this advantage, as they hope to avoid last place for a long time.

The other three teams in the NFC North have opponent-winning percentages above .500. That could also work out well for the Bears, as those teams have a harder schedule. The Green Bay Packers have the most difficult in the division with .526, which is tied for third toughest in the NFL.

In addition to playing their NFC rivals twice, Chicago will face the NFC West and AFC South next season, which includes home games against the Los Angeles Rams and Jacksonville Jaguars, as well as away games against the San Francisco 49ers and Houston Texans. The Bears will also face the last-place finishers in the NFC East, NFC South and AFC East.

It’s exciting to think Chicago will make strides in 2024, and it makes it even better knowing they have a last place schedule for their first year of this window. Winning the NFC North will still be difficult, but the Bears may surprise some people.

Bears to play Jaguars in London on Oct. 13

The Bears are headed back across the pond, where they’ll “host” the Jaguars on Oct. 13 in London.

The Chicago Bears were awarded an international game in London this 2024 season. Now we know who they’ll play and when.

Chicago will face the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, Oct. 13 (Week 6) at 8:30 a.m. CT at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. It will count as one of their nine home games this season.

“Every game the Chicago Bears play is rich in tradition, culture and passion,” Bears Chairman George H. McCaskey said back in January, via ChicagoBears.com. “And every year, game after game, we look forward to welcoming fans to experience that richness. This year, we will take our storied franchise and tradition back to London and share internationally what our fans locally experience at every game. We are excited to join the many NFL teams who are expanding internationally to play a game in London during our 2024 season.”

This will mark the Bears’ fourth game in London. They previously played the Dallas Cowboys in a preseason game in 1986 and regular season games against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2011 and Las Vegas Raiders in 2019.

The remainder of Chicago’s 2024 schedule will be released Wednesday night at 7 p.m. CT. You can follow along with our schedule leaks tracker throughout the day (coming soon).

NFL Network predicts outcome of every Bears game in 2023

NFL Network’s Adam Rank is sharing his early game predictions for the Bears in 2023, and his final record prediction might surprise you.

The Chicago Bears are coming off a three-win season where they earned the No. 1 pick in the NFL draft. But after improvements across the roster and Justin Fields’ development, there are high expectations for Chicago heading into 2023.

The Bears schedule is middle of the pack in terms of strength, and there are plenty of opportunities for wins. Especially when you consider how Matt Eberflus kept arguably the NFL’s worst roster competitive throughout the 2022 season.

We shared our way-too-early game-by-game predictions for the Bears schedule back in May. Now, NFL Network’s Adam Rank, a noted Bears fan, is doing the same.

Here’s a look at how Rank sees each game shaking out for the Bears in 2023, which includes a surprising record.

Bears’ Matt Eberflus believes there’s a positive with two Thursday night games

While some might see two Thursday Night Football games as a bad thing, Bears coach Matt Eberflus believes it has its perks.

[connatix div_id=”3f8b015acdd24c648befc5d5dac47469″ player_id=”afe1e038-d3c2-49c0-922d-6511a229f69c” cid=”7cbcea0d-4ce2-4c75-9a8d-fbe02a192c24″]

The Chicago Bears will play in four prime-time games during the 2023 season, even coming off a disappointing 3-14 season.

That includes two Thursday Night Football games against the Washington Commanders (Week 5) and Carolina Panthers (Week 10).

One of the changes this season is that an NFL club can play two Thursday night games, and the Bears are one three teams (New Orleans Saints, Pittsburgh Steelers) who are slated to play twice.

While some see it as a disadvantage, Bears head coach Matt Eberflus actually believes it’s a good thing for his team.

“I think it’s a positive,” Eberflus said, via ChicagoBears.com. “You look at two Thursday games that are Game 5 (at Commanders) and Game 10 (vs. Panthers), you really have two mini-byes and I think that’s a real positive for us. Gives us a little break after five games and 10 games. I think we have some good rest in there so we can rest and recover and get refreshed to play our best football.”

It makes even more sense when you consider the Bears have another late bye week slated for this season, Week 13. Still, that’s two games where Chicago will be playing on a short week.
