The Bears released their 2023 schedule, and we’re ranking their opponents from easiest to toughest.

After a 3-14 season and one of the toughest schedules in football last season, the Bears are going to get a little bit of a break in 2023. They have the fifth easiest schedule this season and will travel only 12,253 miles, which is ranked third least in the NFL.

In 2023, the Chicago Bears will face the NFC South and the AFC West. As the Bears continue to build up their team and are likely one year away from being a playoff contender. But it’ll be interesting to see how well they perform against their opponents this season.

With that in mind, we’re ranking the team’s opponents from easiest to toughest for the 2023 season:

The Chicago Bears unveiled their 2023 schedule on Thursday night. But before the regular season gets underway, Chicago will play three preseason games.

The Bears will host two preseason contests at Soldier Field — to open and close the preseason — and hit the road for the second game. (Dates and times to be announced).

There’s plenty to look forward to during the preseason, including Justin Fields getting his first game action with new WR1 DJ Moore. It’ll give the new offensive line grouping time to develop a rapport and give the new-look defense some valuable reps.

Two years ago, the preseason schedule was trimmed from four games to three games, which still gives some of the younger players trying to prove themselves and earn a roster spot.

Here’s a look at the Bears’ three-game preseason schedule, which features an All-AFC slate:

Week Date Opponent Time (CT)

32 NFL team travel totals for 2023 season

The Bears will travel the third-fewest miles of any NFL team during the 2023 season.

The NFL will unveil its 2023 schedule on Thursday night, and we’ll soon learn how the Chicago Bears’ slate will unfold.

While we’ve known for awhile who the Bears will face, we’ll learn exactly when those matchups will occur, including which games will be in prime time.

Chicago will travel the third fewest miles of any NFL team during the upcoming season, according to Bill Speros. They’ll only play one game on the west coast (against the Los Angeles Chargers).

Ahead of the NFL’s schedule release, here’s a look at the travel totals for each team during the 2023 season:

The Chicago Bears will open the 2023 NFL season at home against a familiar NFC North foe.

According to The Athletic’s Matt Schneidman, the Bears will host the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, Sept. 10 at 3:25 p.m. CT at Soldier Field.

Chicago will also close out the 2023 season against Green Bay, according to Schneidman.

It’s the start of a new era for the Packers, who traded star quarterback Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets. Now, it’s Jordan Love time in Green Bay, which presents an opportunity for the Bears to get their first win in the rivalry since Dec. 2018.

Chicago has opened the season against the Packers four times since 2000, where they’ve gone 1-4. The last time the Bears and Packers started and ended the season facing each other was in 2006.

This will also be the first time since 2004 where Chicago and Green Bay haven’t squared off on prime time — unless the NFL flexes the Week 18 finale, should the contest have postseason implications.
