Auburn lands in final three for 2025 OT Malachi Goodman

Goodman is a prime candidate to become Auburn’s six offensive line commit of the 2025 cycle.

Auburn football is looking to add another talented offensive lineman to its 2025 recruiting class and has its sights set on a four-star tackle from New Jersey.

[autotag]Malachi Goodman[/autotag], a four-star OT from Paramus, New Jersey, tells On3’s Chad Simmons that he plans to announce his commitment later this month ahead of the start of college football season, and will choose between three programs: USC, Penn State, and Auburn.

“There is no order with the three schools,” Goodman said in an interview with On3. “At all three schools, it is the offensive line group and the coaching staffs that stand out.”

Ahead of Goodman’s commitment date, Auburn has five offensive line commits as part of their 2025 haul. [autotag]Tavaris Dice[/autotag] leads the way as Auburn’s top tackle commitment followed by [autotag]Broderick Shull[/autotag] and [autotag]Spencer Dowland[/autotag]. [autotag]Tai Buster[/autotag] and [autotag]JaCobe Ward[/autotag] are projected to be interior linemen for the Tigers.

Simmons shares insight on the offensive line situation between USC and Penn State. The Trojans have three offensive linemen while Penn State has two commitments. Penn State holds the slight edge for Goodman according to On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine due to their desire to fill a need at the position.

Goodman is a top-25 offensive tackle from the 2025 recruiting cycle and ranks as high as No. 3 from New Jersey.

Auburn makes cut in 2025 F Sebastian Williams-Adams’ top schools list

Auburn is battling several of the nation’s top programs for the No. 8 power forward from the 2025 cycle.

One of the nation’s top power forwards from the 2025 class is considering several of the nation’s top programs, including the Auburn Tigers.

[autotag]Sebastian Williams-Adams[/autotag], a four-star forward from Houston, Texas, has dropped his top eight schools. Auburn remains in the hunt to land him, as does Purdue, Kansas, Baylor, Oklahoma State, SMU, Texas A&M, and Vanderbilt.

Williams-Adams will kick off his official visit tour later this month and plans to visit six of his top eight choices. He will take his first official visit on Aug. 30 to Texas A&M and will conclude his stops on Oct. 4 at Oklahoma State. Auburn will host Williams-Adams on Sept. 6 for his second official fall visit.

On3’s Joe Tipton says that Williams-Adams will be a productive member of whichever program he chooses.

Standing in the 6-7 range, the forward is a downhill type with good touch around the rim. He can attack from various areas on the floor and absorbs contact getting to the free throw line. Would like to see Williams Adams continue working on the shooting, tightening things up from beyond the arc and adding to his middle game. He is an active defender, using his length and anticipation to guard more perimeter-based forwards and then his length and aggression to switch down a line up for more paint-based forwards. He is an active rebounder in and out of his area. A player who keeps the motor running and continues coming at you, on both ends, throughout the course of a game.

Each recruiting outlet rates Williams-Adams as a four-star power forward. He ranks as high as No. 8 in his position and No. 3 among Texas products from the 2025 class.

Alvin Henderson listed as No. 8 running back in 2025 class by On3

Henderson has a chance to win Mr. Alabama honors this season after posting 3,523 rushing yards and 64 touchdowns in 2023.

Four-star Auburn running back commit Alvin Henderson added another accolade to this illustrious high school career last week. On3 sports listed Henderson as their No. 8 running back in next year’s recruiting class.

A consensus top 20 back in the class, Henderson is the second-highest-ranked SEC commit, trailing only future LSU Tiger Harlem Berry on the list. Fellow four-star Auburn target [autotag]Ousame Kromah[/autotag] checked in as number four.

The 5-10, 198-pound Henderson flipped his commitment from Penn State to Auburn back in June. Now entering his senior season at Elba High School in Elba, Alabama, Henderson has a chance to contend for Mr. Alabama honors after a magnificent junior year in which he compiled 3,523 rushing yards and 64 touchdowns. The 3,523 yards were good enough for the second most in the country.

With Auburn’s current starting running back [autotag]Jarquez Hunter[/autotag] set to enter his final season on the Plains and the depth chart murky behind him, Henderson can make his case to become the Tigers 2025 starter with a strong final high school season. While he currently sits outside the top 5 in On3’s rankings, another 3,500+ yards on the ground could propel him up the rankings as the fall progresses.

Either way, [autotag]Hugh Freeze[/autotag] and his staff will surely be excited to welcome the in-state star to the Plains in the summer of 2025. [autotag]Jarquez Hunter[/autotag] and the Auburn offensive line will try to cement a strong identity running the football until then. Alvin Henderson’s season with Elba High School kicks off on August 23 on the road against Luverne.

2026 safety Zelus Hicks to announce commitment soon, Auburn remains a contender

Auburn’s top-ranked recruiting class for 2026 could gain more star-power if Hicks chooses the Tigers.

One of the nation’s top safeties for the 2026 recruiting cycle is close to announcing his commitment, and Auburn remains a key contender in the race.

[autotag]Zelus Hicks[/autotag], a four-star safety from Carrollton High School (Ga.) tells On3’s Chad Simmons that a commitment date is coming soon and that Auburn remains in the top five list of schools that he is considering.

“I love how coaches are reaching out. I can see who is into me and who isn’t,” Hicks said in a recent interview with On3. “Tennessee, Ohio State, Texas, Georgia, Auburn, and a few others have done a great job in the last few weeks. It helps with relationships and it shows me a lot about who really wants me. That is helping with my decision.”

Hicks says that he wants to commit some time over the next two months, but wants to discuss the positives and negatives of every school with his father before ultimately deciding where to go. What will the winning school possess? Hicks says that he wants to attend the school that provides the best fit for his skillset.

“I am still talking with colleges about how I fit into the scheme, if the staff will be there when I get there and things like that,” Hicks said. “Committing and then decommitting is not something I want to do, so with me thinking about committing early, there are still some big questions for me to get the answers to.”

According to On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine, Auburn is the frontrunner with a 78.2% forecast. 247Sports does not have a crystal ball prediction for Hicks at the time of this post. Hicks is scheduled to visit the Plains for the game against Oklahoma at the end of September. Could a positive outcome ultimately lead Auburn to land Hicks?

Hicks is the No. 12 overall recruit from the 2026 class according to Rivals, and ranks as high as No. 1 at his position. Auburn’s 2026 recruiting class currently ranks No. 1 with six commitments, three of whom are four-star defenders.

Shekai Mills-Knight lists Auburn in top five ahead of commitment date

Auburn is in a race with three fellow SEC programs for the signature of the four-star Tennessee product.

Shekai Mills-Knight will commit to a program this weekend, and Auburn remains a top candidate.

The four-star running back from Baylor School in Chattanooga, Tennessee tells Chad Simmons of On3 that he will choose between Auburn, Alabama, Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Miami on Saturday, Aug. 17. Mills says that he is ready to commit to a program that will develop him in several key areas.

“My decision is based on being at a place where I can see myself for 3-4 years, where I can get developed as a running back, where I can get a good education and where I have a chance to win a national championship,” Mills-Knight said in a recent interview with On3.

Mills-Knight visited Auburn twice over the summer, once at the beginning of July and again for Big Cat Weekend. During his first visit to the Plains, Mills-Knight said that he likes the idea of playing in an offense under offensive coordinator [autotag]Derrick Nix[/autotag].

“Auburn is a great college,” Mills-Knight said. “Love the town. Love that Coach (Derrick) Nix is also the OC which means he can put me in position to succeed on the field. They have a great culture. My relationship with everybody there is real strong and they got a great network down there and the running back room is also wide open.”

Ole Miss is the favorite to land Mills-Knight according to On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine. The Rebels also have one crystal ball prediction from 247Sports in their favor. However, Auburn’s relentless pursuit of Mills-Knight has kept them in the running for this long, and can not be considered out of the running until his decision has officially been made.

Three Auburn commits listed on MaxPreps All-American Preseason Team

Safety Anquon Fegans, running back Alvin Henderson and safety/wide receiver Derick Smith made the cut.

As back-to-school advertisements air on television, the high school football season, specifically at schools below the Mason-Dixon line, is ready to begin.

With the start of “Friday Night Lights”, MaxPreps released its All-American Preseason High School Football Team. Three high-profile Auburn Tiger commits, safety [autotag]Anquon Fegans[/autotag] (First Team), running back [autotag]Alvin Henderson[/autotag] (Second Team), and safety/wide receiver [autotag]Derick Smith[/autotag] (Second Team) made the cut.

Fegans, who committed to Auburn last month, received the nod on the first team after MaxPreps named his to the All-American team as a junior. The No. 5 safety in the 2025 class is looking to build on a fantastic junior season in which he picked off opposing quarterbacks 5 times while racking up 50 tackles. Health permitting, the Alabaster, AL native should make an impact on the Plains as soon as he lands on campus next summer.

Four-star running back [autotag]Alvin Henderson[/autotag] is the only “full time” offensive Auburn commit to receive Preseason All-American honors. A consensus top 20 back in the 2025 class, Henderson originally chose Penn State before flipping his commitment to Auburn in June. Like Fegans, Henderson has an equal chance to make an immediate impact as a Tiger next season with current Auburn running back [autotag]Jarquez Hunter[/autotag] entering his senior season in 2024.

Four-star athlete Derick Smith joins Henderson on the All-American Second Team just two weeks after flipping his commitment from rival Alabama to the Tigers. The talented two-way star will likely line up as a wide receiver once he makes his way to the Plains next summer but will continue to receive reps on both sides of the ball during his senior season at Southside High School in Selma, Alabama.

Besides the trio of highly-ranked Auburn commits, a few other Tiger targets received spots on MaxPreps Preseason Teams. 2025 recruits [autotag]Na’eem Offord[/autotag], [autotag]Andrew Babalola[/autotag], [autotag]Zion Grady[/autotag], as well as 2026 linebacker [autotag]Tyler Atkinson[/autotag] were also featured on the All-American teams.

Four-star quaterback Helaman Casuga places Auburn among top schools

Casuga is coming off a remarkable season for Timpview is Utah in which he accumulated more than 4,000 passing yards and 34 passing touchdowns.

2026 four-star signal caller [autotag]Helaman Casuga[/autotag] narrowed his list of top schools down to 8 on Monday. In a post on Twitter/X, Casuga thanked his family and coaches while sharing a graphic listing Auburn, Nebraska, Washington, Arizona, Texas A&M, Utah, BYU, and USC. The Provo, UT native also announced he would be giving out his top 3 choices later this year on his Instagram.

The 6-1, 200-pound quarterback is currently projected to commit to Texas A&M by many experts. However, the dual-threat quarterback prospect was on the Plains for a visit as recently as June, giving [autotag]Hugh Freeze[/autotag] and his staff the chance to have one of the more recent impressions of Casuga’s brain. He must have enjoyed his time enough to consider the Tigers for his commitment.

Casuga is coming off a remarkable season for Timpview in Utah in which he accumulated more than 4,000 passing yards and 34 passing touchdowns. His 4,145 passing yards were good enough for the third most in Utah, and the 23rd most nationally. Now playing football for Corner Canyon High School, Casuga has a chance to take off and improve on an already great high school career.

While the No. 4 prospect in Utah is not likely to announce his commitment anytime soon, we’ll see if Auburn can cut into his top three later this fall. If Hugh Freeze were to capture his commitment it would add another piece to the best 2026 class in the country.

Three-star CB Shamar Arnoux remains high on Auburn’s radar

Despite his pledge to USC, Arnoux still plans to visit Auburn before signing day.

Three-star cornerback [autotag]Shamar Arnoux[/autotag] plans to join his high school teammate, five-star quarterback [autotag]Julian Lewis[/autotag], in Los Angeles at USC next season. However, he has not officially shut down his recruitment.

In a recent interview with On3’s Chad Simmons, Arnoux says several schools are pushing to land his signature including Auburn. He says that his relationships with Auburn’s coaches are enough to keep the Tigers in the running.

“I was at Big Cat and I had a great time. I have some great relationships at Auburn. Coach Crime (Wesley McGriff) and other coaches are great and we just have real relationships,” Arnoux said in a recent interview with On3. “In the end, I will go wherever feels most like home. Auburn has a shot. It is a great place. I know a lot of guys there and I will be back.”

Outside of Auburn, programs such as Florida State, Kentucky, Georgia, and Colorado are challenging USC for the right to sign Arnoux. Arnoux plans to take as many visits as possible to enjoy the recruiting experience before ultimately making a decision.

“Every chance I get this season, I will be out at a game,” Arnoux said. “There is still some time until I sign the papers. I will know where the best place for me is in December and that is where I will sign. Right now, USC is that place and they are doing a great job, but I will continue to take visits and all that.”

Arnoux is a three-star cornerback from Carrollton High School (Ga.) for the 2025 class. He ranks as high as No. 16 nationally at cornerback and as high as No. 18 among Georgia recruits from the cycle.

Auburn target Keenan Britt commits to South Carolina

Britt, the brother of former Auburn linebacker KJ Britt, chose South Carolina over Auburn and Oregon over the weekend.

A key member of the 2026 recruiting cycle will not follow the path that his older brother took almost nine years prior.

[autotag]Keenan Britt[/autotag], a four-star EDGE from Oxford High School (Ala.) and the brother of former Auburn linebacker [autotag]KJ Britt[/autotag], announced his commitment to South Carolina on Saturday. He chose Shane Beamer’s program over Auburn and Oregon.

Britt says that there were several factors that went into choosing South Carolina including gameday atmosphere and the coaching staff, but the home-like environment became the ultimate deciding factor.

“The way they talk to me and my parents, it’s big on me and my family,” Britt said of South Carolina in a recent interview with Rivals. “It’s all about the way me and my family feel. It doesn’t matter how far away the school is. I want it to feel like home. That’s what South Carolina is.”

Britt is the No. 24 EDGE from the 2026 class according to ESPN, and ranks as high as No. 11 among Alabama recruits. Auburn remains the top team to ultimately end up with Britt according to On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine, so the race for the Auburn legacy’s signature may not be over.

Auburn remains in contention to land five-star OT Andrew Babalola

Auburn looks to close the deal on Babalola before next week’s scheduled commitment date.

One of Auburn’s highest recruiting targets for the 2025 class is set to commit next week, and the Tigers remain in a tight race for his pledge with several power programs.

[autotag]Andrew Babalola[/autotag], a five-star offensive tackle from Overland Park, Kansas, is scheduled to announce his commitment next Tuesday, Aug. 13 and Auburn could come away as the sneaky choice. According to On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine, Stanford has an 88.8% chance of landing Babaloloa, with Michigan, Missouri, and Oklahoma next in line.

However, Auburn is the sleeper pick for Babalola according to Steve Wiltfong of On3. The outlet’s VP of Recruiting and Transfer Portal news says that Auburn’s camp has felt that they were never out of contention to add Babalola despite the noise created by other programs.

Don’t sleep on Hugh Freeze and company,” Wiltfong said ahead of Babalola’s commitment date. “On3 is hearing the Tigers are one to watch with a decision timeline fast approaching and that we need to start talking more about the SEC program with a potential commitment coming soon.”

Wiltfong still gives Stanford the best chance to win the Babalola sweepstakes, with Michigan and Auburn being the Cardinal’s biggest challengers. Babalola is the top recruit fron Kansas for the 2025 cycle and is the nation’s No. 15 overall recruit from the class according to On3’s rankings.
