Michigan vs. Arkansas odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Tuesday’s Michigan vs. Arkansas odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The No. 14 Michigan Wolverines (8-1) take on the Arkansas Razorbacks (7-2) Tuesday evening in the Jimmy V Classic. Tip-off from Madison Square Garden in New York is set for 9 p.m. ET (ESPN). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the Michigan vs. Arkansas odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

The Wolverines won their seventh straight game Saturday, hanging on for an 85-83 win against Iowa. They failed to cover as 9.5-point favorites. C Vladislav Goldin had 20 points and 11 boards. The 7-foot-1 Russian is averaging 12 points per game (PPG), 5.4 rebounds per game (RPG) and 1.9 blocks per game.

The Razorbacks took down UT-San Antonio Saturday by a 75-60 score. They failed to cover as 19.5-point favorites, and it was the fifth time failing to cover in their last 6. F Adou Thiero had a team-high 26 points and 10 boards. He’s averaging 18.6 PPG and 6.1 RPG on the season.

Michigan vs. Arkansas picks and predictions

Prediction

Michigan 75, Arkansas 66

Moneyline

I’m all about Michigan in this spot. The Wolverines have really impressed with the way they’ve played under new coach Dusty May. Iowa tested them in their own building, and they’re going to bring it in MSG.

I’ll take them on the spread, though, and instead of the -190 ML, I’ll take DANNY WOLF OVER 9.5 REBOUNDS (-140). He has corralled 11+ boards in 3 of the last 4.

Against the spread

I’ll take MICHIGAN -3.5 (-115) here. It is already swelling to 4 points in other places. The Wolverines are 6-3 ATS, and Arkansas is just 2-6-1 ATS.

Over/Under

Both teams are 3-6 O/U thus far. Michigan is 10th in the nation in defensive rating, and Arkansas is 13th. Neither team ranks higher than 96th in the country in pace. With a neutral site under the big lights, I’m taking the UNDER 147.5 (-105).

UTSA at Arkansas odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s UTSA at Arkansas odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The UTSA Roadrunners (3-4) and Arkansas Razorbacks (6-2) meet Saturday. Tip-off from Bud Walton Arena is set for 2 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the UTSA vs. Arkansas odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

UTSA was handed an 82-74 OT loss Tuesday by the St. Mary’s Gaels while covering as a 23-point underdog. The Roadrunners held St. Mary’s to just 14.3% shooting from 3-point range in the loss, but their downfall was allowing a whopping 31 points at the free-throw line to the Gaels.

Arkansas escaped with a 76-73 win over the Miami Hurricanes Tuesday as a 4.5-point favorite. The Razorbacks shot a very efficient 47.8% from deep en route to outscoring Miami 44-33 in the second half of Tuesday’s contest to complete the comeback win. Arkansas has allowed fewer than 75 points in all of its 6 wins this year.

UTSA at Arkansas picks and predictions

Prediction

Arkansas 92, UTSA 70

Moneyline

PASS.

Arkansas will pick up the win and cover here as a -5000 favorite, but the Razorbacks are not worth the risk of backing here as betting on a favorite this heavy is never wise. Pass here, and bet on the spread and/or O/U instead.

Against the spread

LEAN ARKANSAS -20.5 (-105).

Arkansas is the much better team on both sides of the ball, and its defense that holds opponents to 64.8 ppg will be crucial to the blowout win here.

UTSA is also 0-3 on the road so far this season and is terrible defensively, allowing 79 points per game, so Arkansas should be able to blowout the Roadrunners here.

This is a lean because Arkansas is only 2-5-1 ATS this season.

Over/Under

BET OVER 155.5 (-110).

The Over has hit in all of UTSA’s last 4 games and is 6-1 for the Roadrunners this season. The Over is also 3-2 in Arkansas’ last 5 games.

Arkansas scores 80 points per game, nothing special for the SEC or for a team that was ranked not long ago, but combined with UTSA’s 77 points per game average and UTSA’s bad defense that will allow the Razorbacks to score at will, and you see that the Over is a safe bet.

Arkansas at Missouri odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Arkansas at Missouri odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The Arkansas Razorbacks (6-5, 3-4 SEC) take on the No. 24 Missouri Tigers (8-3, 4-3) at Memorial Stadium/Faurot Field Saturday. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET (SEC Network). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college football odds around the Arkansas vs. Missouri odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

The Razorbacks rolled over Louisiana Tech last week, 35-14, narrowly missing the cover as 23.5-point favorites. QB Taylen Green was 20-for-37 for 221 yards, 2 TDs and 1 INT. He also rushed 6 times for 61 yards and 2 scores. Arkansas is 4-0 against the spread (ATS) on the road this year.

Mizzou bounced back with a 39-20 cover as a 10-point fave against Mississippi State last week. The 39 points were the most the Tigers have scored in 4 games. QB Brady Cook continues to shake off a high-ankle sprain and a thumb injury. He was 15-for-20 for 268 yards, 1 TD and 0 INTs. RB Nate Noel rushed 25 times for 95 yards, and WR Luther Burden III caught 7 balls for 91 yards and 1 TD.

Arkansas at Missouri picks and predictions

Prediction

Missouri 38, Arkansas 28

Moneyline

It’s Senior Day at Mizzou, and this will be the final home game for the trio of Cook, Noel and Burden. Cook and Noel are seniors, and the junior Burden is likely to be a high NFL draft pick. Cook is playing through a high-ankle sprain because his time at Mizzou is coming to a close. So, do you think there is any chance he’s not going to leave it all on Faurot Field?

Mizzou wins, but I’m going to the spread instead.

Take BRADY COOK OVER 230.5 PASSING YARDS (-115). He’s going to leave his mark in his final home game.

Against the spread

I like MISSOURI -3 (-110) here. I know, Arkansas has covered in each road game this year. But this means something to Cook and the Tigers, who had much higher aspirations for their season before the injury bug bit them.

Play our free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Over/Under

Arkansas has cashed Overs in 3 of 4, and Mizzou has done so in 2 of 3. The schools have seen the Over cash in 3 of 4 matchups. This is a bit of a stout number to hit. However, Mizzou just dropped 39 last week and has motivation on its side, and Arkansas has scored 45, 31 and 58 in 3 of its last 4.

Take the OVER 53.5 (-110).

Arkansas vs. Illinois odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Thursday’s Arkansas vs. Illinois odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The Arkansas Razorbacks (5-1) meet the Illinois Fighting Illini (5-1) in a Thursday neutral-site contest in Kansas City. Tip time at the T-Mobile Center will be at 4 p.m. ET (CBS). Let’s analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the Arkansas vs. Illinois odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

Arkansas, the No. 21 team in the nation in the USA TODAY Sports Men’s Basketball Coaches Poll, lost 72-67 to the Baylor Bears (currently No. 18) in the first week of the season, but has won 4 straight since. Only 1 of those 4 (Nov. 13 vs. the Troy Trojans) came against a BartTorvik top-150.

Illinois suffered its lone setback 100-87 in a Nov. 20 game against the current No. 9 Alabama Crimson Tide. UI derives much of its value on defense (holding foes to a 34.4% mark from the field), but the Fighting Illini have banged out 87 points or more in 5 of their 6 games.

The Razorbacks and Illini last met in a first round NCAA Tournament game 2 seasons back (March 16, 2023). Arkansas (-2.5) downed Illinois 73-63.

Arkansas vs. Illinois picks and predictions

Prediction

Illinois 78, Arkansas 73

Moneyline

No interest. PASS.

Against the spread

The Illini are 4-2 ATS. They have been exceptional on defense, forcing opposing teams into bad looks and controlling the rebounding game.

The Razorbacks have some shooting numbers not fully supported by the types of looks they are getting. Arkansas is due some shooting regression.

Look for UI to take this one by a couple scores. BACK THE FIGHTING ILLINI -2.5 (-110).

Over/Under

The Under is 4-2 across UA’s 6 games and is 4-1 in UI’s last 5.

Both teams get after it with top-50 tempo numbers but both also excel in contesting shots and doing so without creating a lot of opponent looks at the line. On neutral hardwood, the UNDER 154.5 (-105) is the value side.

Md-Eastern Shore at Arkansas odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Monday’s Md-Eastern Shore at Arkansas odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The No. 23 Arkansas Razorbacks (4-1) welcome the Maryland-Eastern Shore Hawks (1-6) to Bud Walton Arena Monday. Tip is set for 8 p.m. ET (SEC Network+). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the Md-Eastern Shore vs. Arkansas odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

Arkansas beat the Little Rock Trojans 79-67 Friday, failing to cover as a 21-point favorite. They have won 3 in a row, but have covered just once. Arkansas’ lone loss this season was 72-67 against the No. 14 Baylor Bears in a neutral-cour battle on Nov. 9. The Razorbacks are 1-3-1 ATS.

The Hawks are coming off an 87-40 road loss to the Illinois Fighting Illini Saturday, closing as a 36-point underdog. Against Division 1 opponents, Maryland-Eastern has losses of 47 points to Illinois and 39 points to the Vanderbilt Commodores in the opening game of the season. The Hawks are led by G Ketron Shaw, who is averaging 21.4 points per game.

Md-Eastern Shore at Arkansas picks and predictions

Prediction

Arkansas 92, Md-Eastern Shore 55

Moneyline

PASS.

Even if you find moneyline odds, just avoid them. Arkansas isn’t even worth the risk, and it isn’t going to lose this battle either.

Against the spread

BET ARKANSAS -34.5 (-110).

The Hawks have been a double-digit underdog in the 6 games that they’ve played with a closing spread. They’ve been an underdog of 30 or more twice  and are 0-2 ATS in those. They are averaging just 51.5 points per game in those two competitions.

The Razorbacks have an offense that should be able to pull away, especially considering they’ve averaged 85 PPG over their last 2 games and 75.6 PPG for the season. Two of their top 3 scorers shoot at least 60% from the field, so the efficiency should be able to allow them to distance themselves early.

Considering those trends, back ARKANSAS -34.5 (-110).

Over/Under

BET OVER 144.5 (-110).

Arkansas has been a favorite of 20-plus points twice and it has gone Over the projected total both times. It has allowed at least 60 points in 4 of 5 as well.

The Hawks, while they are a significant underdog, have scorers. Their top 3 scorers all shoot over 47% from the field. Maryland-Eastern Shore has scored at least 61 points in all but 1 game.

With that in mind, play OVER 144.5 (-110).

The Tigers won the first 3 games of the season, including an 80-67 win over San Jose State as a 2-point underdog on a neutral floor. However, it has dropped the past 2 outings at the Hawaii Rainbows and home to the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks. The Under has cashed in each of the past 2 outings.

The Razorbacks have won both games at home against the Lipscomb Bisons and Troy Trojans, sandwiching a neutral-floor loss against the Baylor Bears in a battle of ranked teams on Nov. 9. Pacific at Arkansas picks and predictions

Prediction

Arkansas 75, Pacific 59

Moneyline

Arkansas (-10000) would set you back 100 times your potential return, which means you must risk $100 for every $1 won. It shouldn’t have to be stated, but that’s a crazy bet, and backing such gigantic favorites is a losing long-term better strategy.

PASS.

Against the spread

So far this season, Arkansas -24.5 (-115) has had tremendous difficulty at the offensive end. While PACIFIC +24.5 (-105) is by no means a power, it is catching quite a few points playing against a Razorbacks team which has looked like it is shooting at a bucket with a lid on it during the early going.

Let’s be clear, Arkansas is going to win this game, and likely win it handily. But, this is an awfully big number, too. Back the underdogs.

Over/Under

UNDER 147.5 (-110) is the play in Arkansas games until further notice.

The total has gone low in each of its 3 games to date, as the Hogs are hitting just 46.3% from the field, and a dismal 30.6% from behind the arc. Arkansas is leaving a lot of points on the floor, too, hitting just 65.8% from the free-throw line.

Until Arkansas solves its offensive woes, keep backing the Under in its games.

Texas at Arkansas odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Texas at Arkansas odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The 3rd-ranked Texas Longhorns (8-1, 4-1 SEC) and Arkansas Razorbacks (5-4, 3-3) meet Saturday. Kickoff from Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville, Ark., is scheduled for noon ET (ABC / ESPN+). Let’s analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s college football odds around the Texas vs. Arkansas odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

The Longhorns head to Arkansas for this old Southwest Conference matchup. Arkansas has won the past 2 meetings in this series, with the most recent victory coming 40-21 as a 6.5-point underdog Sept. 11, 2021. The last time the Longhorns topped the Hogs was Sept. 27, 2008, at the DKR.

Texas worked over Florida 49-17 last weekend in Austin, cashing as a 23-point favorite. In 3 games off campus, either in a true road game or neutral-site affair, the Longhorns are 3-0 straight up (SU) and 2-1 against the spread (ATS), with the total going 1-1-1 in those outings.

Arkansas needs 1 more win in the next 3 outings to become bowl eligible. It is concerning that the Hogs were pounded 63-31 at home against Ole Miss last time out on Nov. 2 as an 8-point underdog.

The Razorbacks are just 2-3 SU in the past 5 games, while failing to cover 2 of the previous 3 outings. The Over has hit in back-to-back games for the first time since the total went high in 3 straight to open the season.

Back TEXAS -12.5 (-115) on the road, and look for the Longhorns to win this one going away.

Arkansas +12.5 (-105) is 2-0 ATS this season as a double-digit underdog this season, including a 19-14 outright win over Tennessee Oct. 15. While that was certainly impressive, losses in the 2 most recent home games against LSU and Ole Miss by 24 or more points is not.

Over/Under

UNDER 57.5 (-110) is a strong play despite the fact the Over has connected in 2 in a row for Arkansas.

The Under is 4-2 in the past 6 outings for the Razorbacks, while going 2-1 in the past 3 home games.

For the Longhorns, the total has gone low at a 3-1-1 clip in the past 5 outings, while allowing 17 or fewer points in 7 of 9 games this season.

Troy at Arkansas picks and predictions

Prediction

Arkansas 85, Troy 68

Moneyline

PASS.

You should obviously avoid betting Arkansas (-900), but when you look at the spread, things get more enticing.

Against the spread

BET ARKANSAS -12.5 (-115).

Arkansas didn’t play their best offensively against Baylor, but showed solid defense. Although they’re 0-1-1 ATS, they should cover here. G Boogie Fland has been impressive in 2 games, averaging 17 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists. The Razorbacks have struggled with 3-point shooting but will dominate inside. Troy has looked good against weaker opponents, but they won’t be able to score enough or defend the paint effectively. Arkansas will force turnovers and capitalize with fast-break points.

Over/Under

BET OVER 151.5 (-105).

Arkansas has yet to find its offensive rhythm, but should turn it around in this game. They are 0-2 against the Over, but face the lowest total of the season. The Razorbacks will focus on attacking the paint and are likely to improve their 3-point shooting. With plenty of offensive firepower, they’ll continue to build chemistry. Troy has struggled defensively, giving up 74 points to Toledo and 38 points in the paint to New Orleans. The Trojans will score enough for this game to hit the Over.

Baylor vs. Arkansas odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Baylor vs. Arkansas odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The No. 8 Baylor Bears (0-1) battle the No. 16 Arkansas Razorbacks (1-0) in a neutral-court battle at American Airlines Center Saturday. Tip is set for 7:30 p.m. ET (ESPNU). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the Baylor vs. Arkansas odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

Baylor is No. 8, and Arkansas is No. 16, in the USA TODAY Sports Men’s Basketball Coaches Poll.

The Bears faced the No. 7 Gonzaga Bulldogs in Spokane, Wash., Monday and lost 101-63, closing as a 6-point underdog. They were blitzed out of the gate, taking a 19-point deficit into the half. They ended the game shooting just 3-of-21 from deep, which should be improved upon Saturday. Baylor was led by F Norchad Omier, who tallied 15 points. Duke transfer G Jeremy Roach will be a player to keep an eye on as well. The Bears were just 4-5 on the road last season.

The Razorbacks got a makeover this offseason, adding Kentucky long-time head coach John Calipari and numerous of his players from Lexington. Arkansas is starting 3 players that were at Kentucky last season. It throttled Lipscomb 76-60 Wednesday, closing as a 16-point home favorite. The Razorbacks also struggled heavily from keep, shooting just 21% from downtown. They were led by G Boogie Fland, who notched a team-high 17 points.

Baylor vs. Arkansas picks and predictions

Prediction

Baylor 78, Arkansas 72

Moneyline

PASS.

The only playable option on the moneyline is Arkansas, but considering it hasn’t proven itself and has a roster that hasn’t competed at a high level yet this season and has many new pieces, avoid that option.

Against the spread

BET BAYLOR -3.5 (-115).

The Bears have a transfer star in Roach, the No. 5 overall recruit in the 2024 recruiting class and numerous returning players that they can lean on. They disappointed in a road opener against one of the best teams in the country, but the talent is still there, many of which have played with each other before. Baylor shot 14% from deep, and that should improve as four players shot multiple triples and didn’t see one go through.

The Razorbacks struggled from deep against a weaker opponent and had 12 turnovers and just six offensive rebounds. While they won by 16, it wasn’t an overly impressive performance from Calipari’s new roster. The Cats underperformed when the lights were the brightest under Calipari last season.

Expect a bounce-back game from the Bears and take BAYLOR -3.5 (-115).

Over/Under

BET UNDER 155.5 (-110).

Neither team showed in their respective season-opening game that they can shoot efficiency from deep, and both teams had ample turnovers as well. The Razorbacks are 0-1 O/U, and the Bears are only 1-0 O/U because their defense gave up 101 points.

Gonzaga shot 57% from the field and 42% from deep, and the Razorbacks likely won’t be able to hit that numbers. Considering the inefficiency for both sides to open the season, expect a lower scoring game and back UNDER 155.5 (-110).
