How to watch, stream, listen to Cardinals vs. Lions in Week 15

All the information you need to be able to watch or listen to the Cardinals play the Lions.

They must do so without receiver DeAndre Hopkins, who was placed on injured reserve and will miss at least the rest of the regular season after getting knee surgery. They do, though, get back running back Chase Edmonds from injured reserve.

‘Madden’ sim predicts Cardinals sneak by Lions 26-24 on last-second field goal

In this week’s simulation, the Cardinals build a 20-3 lead, the Lions get a go-ahead TD with less than a minute left and Matt Prater beats his former team with a last-second field goal.

The Arizona Cardinals are heavy favorites in their Week 15 matchup over the Detroit Lions. Detroit’s games this season have tended to go one of two ways — either they are blowouts or the Lions lose heartbreakers.

To see how this game might play out, we ran a simulation of the game on Madden NFL 22. In it, the Cardinals almost fail to beat the Lions but, thanks to a game-ending, 43-yard field goal by former Lions kicker Matt Prater to win 26-24.

The Cardinals built a 20-3 lead entering the fourth quarter but the Lions rallied back. Quarterback Jared Goff rushed for the go-ahead touchdown with 43 seconds left to go up 24-23. But the Cardinals executed a perfect hurry-up offense to get into field-goal range for Prater.

Prater made four field goals in the game.

Quarterback Kyler Murray had 412 passing yards and a touchdown, but he was picked off twice. Chase Edmonds led the team with 38 rushing yards and a score.

A.J. Green led all receivers with 11 catches for 162 yards, while Christian Kirk had eight for 91 yards and a touchdown and tight end Zach Ertz had eight for 80 yards.

Markus Golden sacked Goff twice and the Cardinals got one sack each from Jordan Phillips and Zach Allen.

For the Lions, Goff had 338 passing yards and a touchdown in addition to his rushing score. Jamaal Williams was the leading rusher with 42 yards and a touchdown.

Keys to a Cardinals win over Lions in Week 15

We look at what the Cardinals must do to get back in the win column this Sunday against the Lions.

It is Week 15 in the NFL. After a heartbreaking loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night, the Arizona Cardinals go back on the road to face a one-win Lions team.

Despite their record, the Detroit Lions can be a gritty team. Six of their games have been decided by 3 points or less.

With a win on Sunday, Arizona will clinch a playoff berth — their first since 2015. However, the Cardinals have not beaten the Lions in their last four meetings.

Here is what they can do to notch their league-best eighth road win of the season.

Cardinals become just 2nd franchise to purchase new airplane for team travel

The Cardinals have a new plane. You might see it in the air Saturday when they travel to Detroit.

The Arizona Cardinals will travel to Detroit in style later today. The team announced Friday it became the second team in the NFL to purchase an aircraft for team travel, joining the New England Patriots.

It is a gigantic plane — a Boeing 777-200ER aircraft.

“It is a major undertaking every time we travel for a game,” said Cardinals owner Michael Bidwill in the team’s press release. “This aircraft will not only provide major convenience but also maximum comfort for our players when getting them to and from road games. Every NFL team is looking for advantages wherever possible and we think this will certainly provide one.”

The plane has a seating capacity of 288 passengers and 166 of those seats are oversized for extra comfort. That includes 28 first-class pods with lie-down seats and 48 business class seats.

It also carries the team’s name on it and is in the team’s colors.

The players will certainly appreciate the comfort and being able to get on and off an aircraft that belongs to the team. It is just another thing the team has done over the last many years to improve the facilities and amenities available to players on the team.

And it will be cool for fans to look up in the sky on a travel day for the team and see them in the air.

Colts’ remaining 2021 schedule with four games left

Here’s a quick look at the remaining schedule for the Colts in 2021.

The Indianapolis Colts find themselves in the thick of the playoff hunt as one of the many teams fighting for a wild-card spot in the AFC.

Coming out of their Week 14 bye, the Colts have four crucial games remaining on the regular-season schedule. It gets started with a crucial matchup on Saturday night with the New England Patriots and ends with a divisional bout against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Here’s a quick look at the remaining schedule for the Colts with four games left:

James Conner, Chase Edmonds both expected to play vs. Lions

While DeAndre Hopkins is out, the Cardinals should have both starting running backs back in the lineup.

The Arizona Cardinals have lost wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins for at least the rest of the regular season but it appears they will have both James Conner and Chase Edmonds available this weekend when they take on the Detroit Lions.

Edmonds was designated to return from injured reserve last week and has practiced the last two weeks. He is on track to be activated on Saturday. Conner suffered an ankle injury at the end of the Cardinals’ Monday night loss to the Los Angeles Rams. He did not practice early in the week but got limited work on Friday and is officially questionable to play.

That said, head coach Kliff Kingsbury believes both will play.

“I feel good about it,” he said after practice on Friday. “I think Sunday he warms up, feels good and he’ll be rolling.”

As for Conner, “Same, I feel good about it,” he said.

Edmonds missed four games with an ankle injury and is clearly going to be activated Saturday, based on Kingsbury’s comments.

Getting Edmonds back will give the Cardinals the one-two punch they had early in the year.

Before his injury, Edmonds rushed for 430 yards on 5.7 yards per attempt and caught 30 passes for 211 yards.

Conner has rushed for 661 yards and 14 touchdowns this season, averaging 3.7 yards per carry, and he has also caught 29 passes for 303 yards.
