Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner had another big game on Sunday in the team’s 33-22 win over the Chicago Bears. He scored his career-high 14th touchdown of the season, rushed for 75 yards on 20 carries and led the team with two catches for 36 yards.

In all, he had 111 total yards.

Conner, because of his size, is known throughout the league as a power runner.

He proved again on Sunday that he is more than that. Check out the above video of his 23-yard touchdown catch. It was a short pass that was a little high from Kyler Murray. Conner made a one-handed grab, made a defender miss and then sprinted for the end zone for the touchdown.

Through 12 games, Conner has 630 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns. He has also caught 20 passes for 209 yards and two scores.

Justin Fields inactive, Roquan Smith active for Bears vs. Cardinals

The Bears will miss multiple starters on offense and defense against the Cardinals.

The Arizona Cardinals will not face rookie quarterback Justin Fields when they take on the Chicago Bears. Fields was doubtful for the game on the final injury report of the week but some believed he could be used in specific packages.

That will not be the case. The Bears released their inactive list for the game against the Cardinals and Fields will not dress.

Andy Dalton will start at quarterback for Chicago.

They will be without several starters on offense and defense. Here are their inactives:

  • QB Justin Fields
  • RB Damien Williams
  • WR Allen Robinson
  • CB Teez Tabor
  • WR Marquise Goodwin
  • DE Mario Edwards
  • DT Akiem Hicks

The Bears are down two of their three best receivers with Robinson and Goodwin missing the game. Hicks is a game-wrecker in the defensive interior. They already lost pass rusher Khalil Mack for the rest of the season.

They will, though, have linebacker Roquan Smith in the lineup. He suffered a hamstring injury in the Bears’ last game and was questionable to play after missing practice Wednesday and Thursday and getting limited work on Friday.

Kickoff for the game is 1 p.m. ET.

Kyler Murray, DeAndre Hopkins, Byron Murphy all active for Cardinals vs. Bears

The Cardinals will only be missing Justin Pugh from the starting offensive lineup against the Bears.

The Arizona Cardinals will, in fact, have quarterback Kyler Murray and wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins suited up and in the lineup against the Chicago Bears. Although it was already reported as such, it is now official, as the Cardinals released their inactive list for Week 13 and both are active.

It is the first time either has played since Week 8 when the Cardinals lost to the Green Bay Packers. Since then, though, they have won two of three games and are in first place in the NFC.

Who is inactive for the Cardinals as they face the Bears?

  • QB Trace McSorley
  • WR Andy Isabella
  • CB Jace Whittaker
  • OL Justin Pugh

Pugh was questionable for the game with a calf injury and was going to be a game-day decision. He did not practice all week. That means Sean Harlow will be in the starting lineup at left guard.

Isabella is back to being inactive with Hopkins set to play, albeit in a limited role.

Whittaker was elevated from the practice squad Saturday, putting in doubt Byron Murphy’s availability, as he was listed as questionable for the game with a foot injury. With Whittaker inactive, Murphy will start.

Kickoff for the game is 1 p.m. ET.

‘Madden’ predicts James Conner scores twice as Cardinals roll to easy 24-10 win

A simulation of the Cardinals-Bears game on Madden has the Cardinals sacking Andy Dalton five times and Kyler Murray throwing three TD passes.

The Arizona Cardinals will take the field in Chicago to take on the Bears. They are heavy favorites in the game and are expected to have quarterback Kyler Murray and receiver DeAndre Hopkins back.

In a simulation of the game on Madden NFL 22, the Cardinals roll to a victory in the rain. They picked up a fairly easy 24-10 victory, never trailing in the game.

They scored first on a 34-yard touchdown pass from Murray to running back James Conner, the first Murray’s three touchdown passes and the first of two touchdown catches for Conner.

Murray completed only 22-of-39 passes but had 248 yards and three touchdown passes. He also rushed for 62 yards.

The Bears answered with a field goal, but that was as close as they would come. They took a 17-3 lead in the second quarter with an eight-yard touchdown catch by A.J. Green and the Bears made it 17-10 before halftime with quarterback Andy Dalton’s only touchdown pass of the game, a six-yarder to tight end Cole Kmet. Kmet led the Bears with five catches for 89 yards and the score.

The Bears were shut out in the second half and the Cardinals sacked Dalton five times in the fourth quarter, twice on fourth down. Chandler Jones had 3.5 sacks, Zach Allen had one and Markus Golden was credited with half a sack.

The Cardinals held the Bears to only 44 rushing yards. Dalton was 19-for-29 passing for 282 yards and a touchdown.

Neither team turned the ball over.

Conner had 129 total yards with 63 yards on the ground and five catches for 66 yards and two touchdowns. A.J. Green led the Cardinals with 10 catches for 116 yards and a score. DeAndre Hopkins played but in a lesser role and had one catch.
