4-star 2025 RB Anthony “Turbo” Rogers puts Oregon among his top five schools

4-star 2025 RB Anthony “Turbo” Rogers puts Oregon among his top five schools

The Oregon Ducks added to their already impressive 2024 recruiting class on Saturday with the addition of 4-star QB Michael Van Buren and 4-star DL Xadavien Sims. Looking to bridge that success into the class of 2025, Oregon has gleaned the interest of 4-Star RB, Anthony Rogers, who announced the Ducks as one of his top five schools on Monday.

In his sophomore year of high school, Rogers rushed for 2,151 yards and 27 touchdowns in just 10 games. Nicknamed “Turbo,” it’s no surprise that Rogers is exceptionally fast, but he also has a good vision for a young ball carrier. Furthermore, Rogers seems just as comfortable running up the middle as he is running outside, which isn’t the case for all speedsters.

The Oregon Ducks’ running backs coach, Carlos Locklyn came to Oregon in 2022 with Dan Lanning, and he was successful in his first recruiting cycle. In the class of 2023, Locklyn was able to bring in two top 20 RBs, Dante Dowdell and Jayden Limar. Locklyn and Rogers share the same hometown and according to Hayes Fawcett, the two have already built a good relationship.

While the start of Rogers’s college career is a few years away, his college decision is imminent. He has announced that he will choose his future school on June 2nd, even though he hasn’t visited most of the schools in his top five. So far, Oregon’s 2024 recruiting cycle has been full of good news. and perhaps in the next few weeks, Anthony Rogers will continue the streak of Ducks’ commitments.

Anthony Rogers Recruiting Profile

Alabama hosted in-state, 2025 RB Anthony Rogers for Junior Day visit

2025 running back Anthony Rogers made his seventh unofficial visit to Alabama for Junior Day. He is one of the top running backs in the state.

Running back Anthony Rogers, of the 2025 class, was in Tuscaloosa for Alabama’s Junior Day.

Rogers plays running back at Pike Road High School in Pike Road, Alabama. During his junior season, Rogers had 187 carries for 1,626 yards and nine touchdowns. He had a key role on the Patriots’ offense the past two seasons.

Something interesting to note is that Rogers was a high school teammate of Ole Miss running back Quinshon Judkins. Alabama also has a Pike Road alumni on its team with defensive lineman Khurtiss Perry.

According to On3’s RPM, Rogers is most likely to commit to Alabama at 43.7% likelihood.

There is mutual interest between Rogers and the Crimson Tide. That could go a long way in the 2025 running back’s recruitment.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to follow Rogers’ recruitment as well as Alabama football recruiting.

Nick Saban and Alabama offer a pair of in-state prospects

Signing day for the class of 2022 is still a couple of weeks away, but that hasn’t stopped Nick Saban and the Alabama staff from offering future prospects.

Just this weekend the staff has offered a pair of in-state prospects in four-star defensive lineman prospect Hunter Osborne from the class of 2023 and 2025 running back prospect Anthony Rogers.

Osborne is a talented interior defensive lineman prospect from Hewitt-Trussville High School while Rogers is just a freshman from Pike Road that is already generating a lot of buzz around the state of Alabama.

Both Osborne and Rogers announced their offers on their Twitter pages.
