Alabama Men’s Basketball improves to 2-0 on the season after defeating South Dakota State

Thanks to a strong second half, Nate Oats and the Alabam Crimson Tide defeated the South Dakota State Jackrabbits 104-88.

The Tide shot 48.8% from the field and 32.5% from three on its way to eclipsing the 100-point mark for the first time in the young season.

Jahvon Quinerly exploded for 26 points 8 assists and 5 rebounds to lead the way for the Tide. Jaden Shackleford added 23 points of his own. In total, Alabama had five players in double figures.

Alabama will be back in Coleman Coliseum on Tuesday, November 16 to take on the South Alabama Jaguars.

HALFTIME REPORT: Alabama leads South Dakota State 41-38 at the half

After a back and forth first twenty minutes, the Alabama Crimson Tide holds a 41-38 lead over South Dakota State.

Alabama has led by as many as eight in the contest, while the Jackrabbits also held a four-point lead for a brief moment.

Jahvon Quinerly is leading the way for the Tide with nine points and Darius Miles came off the bench to contribute nine points on his 3-3 performance from the three-point line.

Freshman seven-footer Charles Bediako had a solid first half with eight points and four rebounds.
