The Alabama Crimson Tide put together one of its best performances in a road environment in quite some time on Saturday night with a 40-17 win over the Mississippi State Bulldogs in Starkville.

With the win, Alabama moves to 4-1 on the season and a perfect 2-0 in SEC play. The Bulldogs drop to 2-3 on the season and an abysmal 0-3 in conference competition.

It was a balanced attack on Saturday night for the Crimson Tide will all three phases of the game playing well for a large portion of the competition.

Alabama’s offensive attack looked more like a vintage Crimson Tide team with a powerful ground game sprinkled with enough passing plays to keep the defense honest.

Defensively, Alabama forced the Bulldogs into three turnovers, which proved to be costly for Mississippi State.

Defensively Alabama put together a solid performance forcing three Mississippi State turnovers, all interceptions from Bulldog quarterback Will Rogers.

After a near-disastrous start offensivily with bad snaps and a couple of sacks, the Alabama offensive line took over the contest to help propel the Crimson Tide to a 24-10 lead over the Mississippi State Bulldogs at the half.

[autotag]Jalen Milroe[/autotag] would get the scoring started for Alabama with a blazing 53-yard touchdown run and on the next possession the Crimson Tide defense would get their first score of the season thanks to a pick-six from outside linebacker Chris Braswell.

After trading field goals, Mississippi State would battle back with a touchdown to close the gap to 17-10.

Alabama would answer with an impressive 12-play 75-yard touchdown drive that was capped off with a [autotag]Jase McClellan[/autotag] two-yard touchdown run.
