Nick Saban wipes out on the beach while boogie boarding, and social media absolutely loves it.

Former Alabama head coach Nick Saban has been off the job for a few weeks now, and he’s apparently been enjoying the beach with Miss Terry, according to his daughter, Kristen Saban Setas.

While interacting with Crimson Tide fans, Saban Setas shared a video from a few years ago that showed the legendary head coach wiping out on the shore of a beach while attempting to boogie board in the waves.

The video may not be recent, but it is exactly how many Alabama fans hope he is spending his retirement.

Initial thoughts on Coach DeBoer’s introductory press conference

At 1 p.m. CT from the north end zone of Bryant-Denny Stadium, the University of Alabama introduced its 28th head football coach, Kalen DeBoer.

DeBoer arrives in Tuscaloosa as one of the hottest names in college football after transforming what had been a 4-8 Washington team in 2021 into a squad that went 25-3 record over the past two seasons, including playing for a national championship earlier this week.

DeBoer began his introductory press conference by thanking Greg Byrne and other Alabama officials but quickly moved to thank Nick Saban for the program he has built. He smartly let coach Saban know he is always welcome around the program and the facility, saying “100% access to everything. If I didn’t, I’d be a fool”.

DeBoer showed great command of the room with confidence in his vision while remaining humble in his delivery.

Coach DeBoer spoke of his non-negotiables: The biggest was toughness. If Alabama fans want to see anything from their football team, it’s toughness through adversity.

It was hard not to come away impressed with coach DeBoer considering the position he is replacing the greatest college football coach of all time.

Who replaces the Greatest of All Time? Here are five possible candidates to take Nick Saban’s job as Alabama football head coach.

Alabama football head coach Nick Saban has retired. Something that has long been talked about has actually happened. The question of who replaces him now takes center stage.

Saban had one of the most historic runs any coach in any sport has ever had. He helped lead the Crimson Tide to nine SEC titles and six national championships. Saban brought some of the best coaches and players to the University of Alabama over the years.

Saban exemplified what it meant to be a legend. The only other Alabama coach that compares to Saban is the great Paul “Bear” Bryant. There is reason to believe they are two of the greatest college football coaches ever and rightfully so.

With Saban retiring, it is time to look at some of the potential candidates who could take on the difficult task of carrying on what Saban built in Tuscaloosa.
