Former Alabama linebacker Mack Wilson took to Twitter in order to celebrate the Cleveland Browns’ win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, and NFL fans are not too happy about it.

In a game where the biggest highlight was Myles Garrett hitting Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph in the head with his own helmet, tensions were high.

Wilson tweeted out a photo of him standing next to Steelers wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster, who was laying on the ground in pain – Smith-Schuster would not return to the game after later being placed in concussion protocol.

Shortly after receiving some backlash, Wilson deleted the tweet and issues this apology:

Here’s what Twitter is saying about the post:

Some fans believe Wilson was happy about the Steelers’ star-receiver being injured.

Others just outright condemned the tweet.

NFL fans were quick to call out Wilson for the post.

‘Yikes’ is probably an appropriate word to use here.

SEC Network points out crazy stat for Tua Tagovailoa

Tua Tagovailoa will go down as one of — if not — the greatest quarterbacks in Alabama history.

By this point, it is universally accepted that Tua Tagovailoa is one of the best quarterbacks in Alabama history. In fact, it would be hard to argue against the notion that the Honolulu (Haw.) native deserves to sit atop the list.

One statistic, which was pointed out by the SEC Network’s Twitter account on Friday, helps validate that argument:

It has been quite awhile since the Crimson Tide has fielded a successful quarterback in the NFL, but think about all the names at that position in program history: Bart Starr, Joe Namath, Ken Stabler, AJ McCarron … the list could go on.

Yet, Tagovailoa has found more success through the air, at least when it comes to 400-yard passing games, this season than every other Alabama starting quarterback in history.

On the season, the junior passer has completed 70.9 percent of his passes for 2,584 yards and 31 touchdowns — while only tossing three interceptions.

Tagovailoa has done all this despite missing a game against Arkansas that would’ve certainly helped pad those stats (Mac Jones completed 81.8 percent of his passes for 235 yards and three touchdowns against the Razorbacks).

The team’s first loss of the season to LSU on Saturday probably still lingers in the minds of Alabama fans, but make sure to take a step back and appreciate the greatness that is Tua Tagovailoa.

He’s a rare and special talent.

How Auburn could shake up the College Football Playoff without playing in it

The Tigers could be huge spoilers for multiple teams.

Welcome to Before The Snap, For The Win’s college football show where we’ll break down the sport’s trending storylines, examine each week’s biggest matchups and track the College Football Playoff and Heisman Trophy races.

In the middle of a brutal schedule, Auburn is 7-2 and No. 12 in the College Football Playoff rankings with two losses, and it still has to play No. 4 Georgia and No. 5 Alabama. The Tigers have just a five percent chance to make the playoff at this point, but they do have the opportunity to have a massive impact on the playoff picture.

If LSU, Ohio State and Clemson continue playing the way they have all season, they’ll be the first three teams in. But that fourth spot could come down to Georgia, Alabama or Oregon, among other playoff hopefuls.

What do those three teams have in common? Auburn.

In Week 1, Oregon lost, 27-21, to the Tigers, and that remains the Ducks’ only defeat as they try to become a one-loss Pac-12 champ looking for a playoff spot. But depending on how other conferences close out the regular season, Oregon’s one loss could end up keeping it out of the top four.

Auburn hosts Georgia on Saturday, and upsetting the Bulldogs would hand them their second loss of the season and likely knock them out of playoff contention. A two-loss team has never been invited to the playoff, so it would probably take a conference championship and some chaos for that to happen.

And in Week 14, Alabama travels to Jordan-Hare Stadium to take on Auburn, and after the Crimson Tide lost to LSU in Week 11, a Tigers win could shut the door on their playoff hopes too.

Auburn probably won’t make the playoff, but it can be a huge spoiler this year.

WATCH: Nick Saban shares thoughts on CFB Playoff ranking

Alabama head coach Nick Saban isn’t worried about Playoff rankings. He’s only worried about controlling what his team can control!

Nick Saban has built the Alabama football program by focusing on the things that you can control.

At this point in the season, the head coach isn’t worried about where his team stands in the College Football Playoff rankings, and he made that much clear during his weekly “Hey Coach” show on Thursday night.

Here is what Saban actually said:

“I don’t want our players to be talking about or hearing about like what everybody else is talking about — my daughter and everybody else — it’s all I hear about: are we going to get into the Playoff? Why did Georgia get ahead of us? I don’t really care about that, alright. Because the only thing we have to do is focus on what do we have to do to finish the season.”

The Alabama head coach then went on to talk about how special it is that every team since 2010 has suffered one or less losses during the regular season, which is a fantastic point.

Right now, the team needs to be worried about controlling the things that are in its control, one of which is beating Mississippi State in Starkville on Saturday morning.

Is Kenyan Drake taking over for Cardinals?

Less than two weeks after being traded from Miami to Arizona, Kenyan Drake is already making waves. Trade: Arizona has reached agreement in principle to trade a conditional 2020 draft pick to Miami for RB Kenyan Drake, league sources tell ESPN. – …

Less than two weeks after being traded from Miami to Arizona, Kenyan Drake is already making waves.

In his first week with the Cardinals, Drake took 15 carries for 110 yards and a lone touchdown. An impressive first outing with his new team.

His Arizona debut came at the right time for him, as David Johnson, their solid back for the last few seasons was inactive.

Johnson has been battling injuries, he spent all of 2018 on the sidelines after sustaining a knee injury.

Drake’s second week with the team was a true test, Johnson was back on the field, so it was a true test to see where he would fit into the mix with the incumbent starter.

In the Cardinals’ contest against the Buccaneers, Drake took over as the lead back.

The Alabama product had 10 carries to Johnson five, along with 35 yards to Johnson’s two.

Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury weighed in on Drake’s success with the team.

“We just felt like with Drake, needed to get something going and kept him rolling,” Kingsbury said. “The last couple weeks, practice, games [he] has brought a little pop to the run game, the pass game, and we felt like he was the guy to try and close the game out with.”

There’s still a relatively small sample size when it comes to what he’s capable of with Arizona, but with plenty of time left in the regular season, he will have the ability to show the Dolphins front office what they are missing out on.

Watch: Alabama football players react to finding out CFP rankings

Alabama football players were not thrilled with their position behind UGA football in the College Football Playoff rankings.

The College Football Playoff committee had a big decision to make in the latest edition of their rankings.

To value Georgia’s two good wins and one bad loss over Alabama’s no signature wins and one forgivable loss?

Ultimately, the committee placed Georgia at No. 4 in the rankings, meaning if the Playoffs were to begin today the Dawgs would be in.

Alabama checked in at No. 5. Some argue that the Tide should have been ranked at 4, some are fine with the committee’s decision and then there’s a decent sized portion of the college football community who actually think Nick Saban’s team is not even deserving of being the second highest ranked one-loss program.

Bama lost a close game to LSU, which is now No. 1 in the nation. The final score showed Alabama lost by five, but it really did not feel that tight throughout the full game.

Despite that, and the fact that Georgia has two top-25 wins to Alabama’s zero, Bama players were not pleased to find out they sit behind Georgia in the newest rankings.

Watch as they react to the rankings. Volume up.

“As you look at No. 4 and No. 5 and the discussion around those two teams: two really good teams, obviously one-loss teams,” committee chair Rob Mullens said. “We just saw Alabama had a tough loss against LSU, but when you compare that against Georgia’s resume and the two big wins that Georgia had…”
