Air Force at Navy picks and predictions

Prediction

Air Force 27, Navy 16

Moneyline

PASS.

At -400 odds, there is no money to be made betting on the Falcons. They are the rightful favorite in this matchup having not lost a game with their offense looking dominant in each of the victories.

Against the spread

LEAN AIR FORCE -10.5 (-105).

While Navy is playing at home, it has not played well this season. Its 2 dominant wins came against far less superior teams than that of what it will see when it faces Air Force.

On the reverse, Air Force has looked great this season with only a single game being within 1 possession. Its offense has looked good, but its defense has looked even better. Expect a statement victory from the Falcons.

Over/Under

BET OVER 34.5 (-105).

While both teams are run-heavy, both offenses have been high-powered this season. Air Force has scored at least 34 points in all but 1 game this season while Navy has scored at least 24 points in 3 of its 6 games. Expect the clock will continuously run in this game, but also expect many big plays leading to a lot of points.

Air Force at Navy odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Air Force 28, Navy 21

Money line

Don’t dismiss favorites in the -200 to -300 range out of hand. There are occasions where there is decent leverage in this neighborhood but this isn’t one of those times.

An Air Force play would be on the radar at a price better than -220. PASS ON THIS TAG.

Against the spread

The Falcons are 4-1 against the spread in their last five meetings with the Midshipmen.

The Air Force defense figures as a solid unit and Navy QB Tai Lavatai was hurt after being sacked five times last week. The Middies had trouble turning yards into points last week; they may find more points this week peg them as a touchdown or more down throughout this contest.

BACK AIR FORCE -5.5 (-112).

Over/Under

The Under has gone 7-2 in the last nine series meetings. Look for some push back in 2021.

Navy may be a few points undervalued after last week and Air Force showed some life in the back half of last year’s 3-3 campaign.

TAKE THE OVER 39.5 (-110).
