Air Force at UNLV odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Air Force Falcons at UNLV Rebels odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Air Force Falcons (4-2, 1-2 Mountain West) will face the UNLV Rebels (4-2, 2-1) Saturday at Allegiant Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 10:30 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Air Force vs. UNLV odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

Air Force lost straight up as an 11-point favorite last Saturday, 34-27 at the Utah State Aggies. Falcons QB Haaziq Daniels finished with 95 yards passing, 1 TD, 1 INT and rushed for a score as Air Force failed to cover the spread as a double-digit favorite for the 2nd consecutive game.

UNLV failed to cover as a 6.5-point underdog in a 40-7 loss at the San Jose State Spartans on Oct. 7. Rebels QB Cameron Friel threw for 143 yards and 1 TD on 14-of-19 passing as UNLV failed to cover the spread for the second consecutive game after starting the season 4-0 against the spread (ATS).

In their last meeting, Air Force covered as an 18-point favorite in a 48-14 home win vs. UNLV on Nov. 26, 2021.

Air Force at UNLV picks and predictions

Prediction

Air Force 38, UNLV 14

Moneyline

PASS.

Air Force (-380) ML is too expensive to bet. Look to the spread and total for better opportunities.

Against the spread

BET AIR FORCE -9.5 (-115).

Air Force will come out extra focused after getting embarrassed as a double-digit favorite last Saturday. The Falcons have the No. 1 rushing offense in the nation (359.8 yards per game) and should dominate time of possession vs. UNLV. Lay the points with the extra motivated, superior team.

Over/Under

LEAN OVER 49.5 (-115).

This number has been bet down too far to take the Under. I would lean toward the Over at this point considering how low the number is and some trends that support a higher-scoring game. The Over is 8-2 in Air Force’s last 10 games and 5-1 in their last 6 meetings at UNLV.

Air Force at Utah State odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Air Force at Utah State odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Utah State Aggies (1-4) welcome the Air Force Falcons (4-1) to Maverik Stadium Saturday. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Air Force at Utah State odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

Air Force is coming into this battle following a 13-10 win over Navy. It has taken down Nevada, Navy, Northern Iowa and Colorado so far this season, 3 of those games being double-digit victories as well.

While the Falcons are easy to predict, they’ve been impossible to stop, averaging 369.8 rushing yards per game this season, the most in the nation. RB Brad Roberts leads the team with 573 yards and 7 touchdowns.

As for Utah State, it has had a disappointing season, losing to Alabama 55-0 in its second game. It has lost to Weber State, UNLV and BYU since, only having beaten UConn.

The Aggies are also mainly a running program with RB Calvin Tyler Jr. leading the way. He has 396 yards through 5 games this season with the Aggies averaging 152.8 yards on the ground per game as a team.

Air Force at Utah State picks and predictions

Prediction

Air Force 38, Utah State 24

Moneyline

PASS.

Air Force is on the road and still a -475 favorite, so I’ll pass here.

The value, especially taking on a program that had double-digit wins last season, is just not there. Betting on an upset, after what Utah State has shown, also doesn’t make much sense.

Against the spread

LEAN AIR FORCE -10.5 (-115).

Simply put, Air Force has been running all over teams, and the Utah State run defense isn’t that good.

The Falcons average the most rushing yards in the nation while the Aggies allow 188.4 per game. That’s going to be a battle that’s absolutely exploited in this matchup.

Air Force is 3-2 against the spread (ATS) while Utah State is 2-3. Even the Aggies offensive strength, in the run game, isn’t that strong as they have just a 3.7 yards per carry average.

Expect the advantage for the away side to be too great for Utah State to handle.

Over/Under

BET OVER 54.5 (-108).

Utah State was shut out against Alabama and then struggled against Weber State. Since that FCS battle, the Aggies have stepped up tremendously, averaging 25 points per game.

Utah State’s 2 quarterbacks have combined for 11 interceptions as well, so its turnovers should help spark some easy Air Force drives. Without a real ability to stop the Falcons, they should be able to rack up touchdowns.

Air Force has scored 40 or more points in 3 games. I’ll back the OVER 54.5 (-108) here as another way to bet on Air Force.

Navy at Air Force odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Navy at Air Force odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Navy Midshipmen (1-2) cruise into Colorado Springs to battle the Air Force Falcons (3-1) in the first leg to determine the Commander-in-Chief Trophy. Saturday’s kickoff at Falcon Stadium is noon ET. (CBS). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Navy vs. Air Force odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

After an ugly 17-14 loss against Wyoming with many players battling illness, Air Force bounced back last Saturday with a decisive 48-20 win over Nevada. The Falcons have been favored in every game this season. Their mixture of service academy option with a bit more air attack allows them to score and score often.

Navy has been trying to find itself in recent seasons. Since QB Keenan Reynolds graduated, the Midshipmen have taken a down turn. They started off this season by losing to FCS Delaware 14-7. Even in their 1st victory last Saturday, they only managed to put up 23 points in a double-OT game against East Carolina to win 23-20. This will not be enough offense to win against the Air Force Academy.

Navy at Air Force picks and predictions

Prediction

Air Force 27 Navy 7

Money line

PASS. The line is too high to make a wager on Air Force.

Against the spread

Take AIR FORCE -14.5 (-102).

Service Academy games tend to lean under the total. Both teams play option attacks, and this bleeds the clock and number of possessions. Even with this, Air Force is going to score on Navy. With a bit of an aerial attack built into their option, Air Force will get a few more drives than normal. This will lead to them scoring while Navy continues to struggle to do so on their end. While this game is likely to go under, it will be due to Navy being inept more so than Air Force not doing their part. Air Force -14.5 (-102) is my favorite play.

Over/Under

UNDER 37.5 (-110) is the smarter play here.

Not only can Navy not score on offense, but their slow pace will also limit the high-flying offense of the Falcons. Air Force will score, but not enough to get this game to the over. Not with how slow Navy will play. While I like Air Force to cover, I do not see the game being a shootout. I lean toward the Under 37.5 (-110).

Nevada at Air Force odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s Nevada at Air Force odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Nevada Wolf Pack (2-2, 0-0 MWC) and Air Force Falcons (2-1, 0-1) meet at Falcon Stadium Friday. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET (FS1). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Nevada vs. Air Force odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

Nevada dealt with a night of lightning delays during a 27-0 loss at the Iowa Hawkeyes Saturday. The game was delayed 3 times for a total of 3 hours and 56 minutes. The Wolfpack are 9-1 against the spread (ATS) in their last 10 games after an ATS loss. Friday’s game is the opener of conference play.

Air Force gave up a late TD run in a 17-14 loss at the Wyoming Cowboys Friday. The Falcons entered the Mountain West Conference opener averaging a nation-leading 508.5 rushing yards per game but were held to just 171 yards vs. Wyoming.

The Under is 5-1 in Air Force’s last 6 games vs. a team with a record above .500.

Nevada at Air Force picks and predictions

Prediction

Air Force 28, Nevada 13

Money line

PASS.

The Air Force (-3000) money line is too expensive to bet. The spread and total are better options.

Against the spread

BET NEVADA +23.5 (+100).

Take the points. Nevada should be able to bounce back after a weird game in Iowa and keep it relatively close in a low-scoring conference game.

Over/Under

BET UNDER 46.5 (-112).

While I liked the play more when the total opened at 49 at most books, the Under should still hit. Both offenses struggled in Week 3 and Air Force’s defense should look dominant playing at home on national TV.

Air Force at Wyoming odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s Air Force at Wyoming odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Air Force Falcons (2-0, 0-0 MWC) and the Wyoming Cowboys (2-1, 0-0 MWC) meet Friday at Jonah Field at War Memorial Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET (CBS Sports Network). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Air Force vs. Wyoming school odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

The Falcons topped Northern Iowa in the opener, easily covering a 15-point number in a 48-17 victory as the Over hit. That was impressive enough, beating a top-tier FCS team. However, beating Colorado last week by a 41-10 score was even more impressive.

Air Force fired out to a 20-0 lead, and led wire to wire, piling up 435 rushing yards on 70 attempts. It held Colorado to just 111 rushing yards and 51 yards through the air, as the Falcons’ D shined through.

After a 38-6 blowout loss at Illinois in Week 0, Wyoming returned home with a pair of wins over Tulsa and Northern Colorado. The Cowboys are just 1-2 ATS, and the Over has hit in 2 of 3 outings.

Air Force at Wyoming picks and predictions

Prediction

Air Force 31, Wyoming 17

Money line

Air Force (-750) hits the road as the moderate favorite, and it will cost you more than 7 times your potential return. That’s just too risky on the road, even against a Wyoming team that has struggled at times.

AVOID.

Against the spread

WYOMING +14.5 (-112) looked much better at home in 2 games than it did on the road in the opener. The offense is slowly starting to come around, especially the run game, and the Cowboys have been able to slow down the rush.

Wyoming has allowed just 112.0 rushing yards per game through 3 outings, so it should be able to at least slow Air Force’s top rushing attack.

In addition, Air Force is a dismal 2-10 ATS in the past 12 meetings between these teams, including 0-5 ATS in the past 5 meetings in Laramie.

Over/Under

The OVER 46.5 (-112) is the lean here, but play it lightly.

While the Over has cashed in 6 in a row for the Falcons and gone 4-1 in their past 5 road outings, the Under is 4-1 in the past 5 against winning teams.

The Under is 20-7-1 in the past 28 games for the Cowboys against winning teams while going 11-3 in the past 14 meetings against the Falcons.

Colorado at Air Force odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Colorado at Air Force odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Colorado Buffaloes (0-1) will take on the Air Force Falcons (1-0) Saturday. Kickoff from Falcon Stadium is set for 3:30 p.m. ET (CBS). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Colorado vs. Air Force odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

The Buffaloes lost 38-13 to TCU in Week 1 with a 2nd half they hope to quickly forget. The game was 7-6 at halftime, but Colorado gave up 31 points in the 2nd half, including 21 in the 4th quarter. The Buffaloes allowed 413 yards while gaining 348. QB J.T. Shrout passed for 157 yards and a TD. QB Brendon Lewis threw for 78 yards and rushed 8 times for 42 yards.

In order for the Buffaloes to turn it around, they need their defense to get key stops and for their offense to open up the run game. This will allow them to control the pace of the game while being able to open up their pass game.

The Falcons will hope to feed off the same home energy that propelled them to a 48-17 victory over Northern Iowa last week. QB Haaziq Daniels threw for 109 yards and 1 TD while also rushing 8 times for 114 yards and a TD. The Falcons had 16 different rushers who accumulated 582 yards and 5 touchdowns on the ground. The versatility on the ground will be a key to continued success for this team.

This will the 18th meeting between the schools and the 1st since 2019, when Air Force won 30-23 in OT. Colorado leads 12-5 alltime.

Colorado at Air Force picks and predictions

Prediction

Air Force 28, Colorado 17

Money line

PASS. The money line does not present the opportunity for a high return on this game. Although I believe Colorado will improve its offense compared to last week, Air Force will continue to dominate the run and control the time of possession.

The Falcons will move to 2-0 as a favorite while the Buffaloes will move to 0-2 as underdogs.

Against the spread

Lean Colorado +17.5 (-108). This game will be much closer than both teams’ opening week. The Falcons’ discipline will be a test for the Buffaloes defense, but they will be ready for the matchup. Furthermore it is important to realize that Colorado is accustomed to the high altitude, a luxury not many Air Force opponents have.

Over/Under

Take UNDER 50.5 (-112). Air Force will hope to find success on the ground while Colorado will hope to do the same. Last week, Air Force held the ball for more than 35 minutes while Colorado held the ball for more than 33 minutes. The result will be a low scoring game.

Northern Iowa at Air Force odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Northern Iowa at Air Force odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Northern Iowa Panthers visit the Air Force Falcons Saturday at Falcon Stadium in each team’s season opener. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Panthers vs. Falcons odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

The Panthers come into the season ranked No. 21 in the FCS after finishing last season with a 6-6 record. For the 22nd straight season, the Panthers will be headed by coach Mark Farley, the program’s winningest coach.

They are returning 4 All-MVFC players, including two defensive strengths in DB Benny Sapp III and LB Spencer Cuvelier. They will look to play with discipline and poise as they face an academy school, which Farley calls a “great honor.”

The Falcons enter with a staggering 25-0 record against FCS teams all time, all of which happened in their home stadium with 15 of the 25 wins under coach Troy Calhoun.

They will bring confidence into this one as they have outscored opponents 223-28 in their last 5 season openers. They hope to start their season off with a bang under returning senior QB Haaziq Daniels.

Northern Iowa at Air Force picks and predictions

Prediction

Air Force 34, Northern Iowa 13

Money line

PASS.

The Falcons (-1000) will win, but there’s no value on the money line with them being such a big favorite.

Against the spread

BET AIR FORCE -16.5 (-110).

Their record against FCS teams is undeniable and the program’s winningest coach will be leading them into his 22nd season, which is why I am willing to lay the points here.

Northern Iowa may keep this game close in the early stages, but coming into a high-altitude Falcon Stadium, facing the roar of the home crowd, Air Force will separate itself and pull away by the end of this one.

Over/Under

The OVER 42.5 (-112) is worth a lean. Air Force returns a lot of experienced players, who are hoping to set the tone in Game 1 for the rest of their season.

The Falcons will look to start off fast and get on the board early in front of their home fans, while also maintaining rhythm against a strong Panthers defense.

Air Force at Colorado State odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Tuesday’s Air Force Falcons at Colorado State Rams odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Air Force Falcons (8-4, 1-0 MWC) and No. 19 Colorado State Rams (10-0, 0-0) tee it up Tuesday in Fort Collins, Colo. The Mountain West Conference battle at Moby Arena is slated for 9 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Air Force vs. Colorado State odds and lines and make our expert college basketball picks, predictions and bets.

Rankings courtesy of the Ferris Mowers Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

Air Force snapped a three-game skid Wednesday with a 49-47 win over Utah State. The Falcons won despite shooting just 36.0% from the field. The team’s 58.9 points per game rank 346th in the nation. Air Force’s three straight losses were on the road; the Falcons are 1-3 with a shaky 26.8% turnover rate in away games.

The Rams haven’t played since Dec. 11 and return to action after having two games nixed over the holidays. The Rams have been solid at both ends of the floor, but its CSU’s 3-point shooting that really stands out. The Rams’ 43.3% mark from distance ranks second in the nation.

Air Force at Colorado State odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Colorado State 73, Air Force 56

Money line

PASS: look to leverage the underdogs against the spread … and the Under.

Against the spread

Air Force couldn’t stay within 19 points of Montana, Arkansas State, and Tarleton State; how are they going to stay within 19 of these Colorado State Rams? A very young Falcons team was a couple or three possessions closer in each of those recent setbacks but has been awful in closing games.

Look for enough 3-point shooting and defense of same against a CSU squad that could struggle in finding its rhythm.

TAKE AIR FORCE +19.5 (-107).

Over/Under

The Under is 4-1 in the Rams’ last five overall and 7-0 in the Falcons’ last seven games as an underdog.

Figuring on some rusty Rams, pesky Falcons, and a CSU five putting this one to bed in low-total fashion.

TAKE THE UNDER 132.5 (-115).

UNLV at Air Force odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Air Force 36, UNLV 16

Money line

Air Force (-1000) will cost you 10 times your potential return, or you’ll earn just a $10 profit for every $100 risked. That’s not a good long-term betting strategy.

PASS, and look to the number instead.

Against the spread

AIR FORCE -17.5 (-110), win or lose, is all but locked into the Military Bowl. That doesn’t mean they won’t be playing hard in this one. Quite the contrary, as it’s Air Force, and they just don’t let up. And UNLV +17.5 (-110) has played hard down the stretch, but they just don’t match up well with the Falcons.

Over/Under

The OVER 50.5 (-110) is the slight lean. The Over has connected in four of the past five for UNLV inside the conference, while going 4-1 in the past five trips to the Springs. The Over is also 5-1 in the past six meetings overall in this series. For Air Force, it’s all about the Under lately, but it should run roughshod all over UNLV, posting big totals along the way.

Air Force at Nevada odds, picks and prediction

The Air Force Falcons (7-3, 4-2 Mountain West) visit the Nevada Wolf Pack (7-3, 4-2) Friday at Mackay Stadium in Reno, Nev. Kickoff is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Air Force vs. Nevada odds and lines, and make our expert college football picks, predictions and bets.

The Falcons halted a two-game losing streak with an emphatic 35-21 win at Colorado State, their first cover since Oct. 16. The surprising Over result also ended a 4-0 Under run for Air Force.

Air Force at Nevada odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Nevada 29, Air Force 18

Money line

NEVADA (-125) is going to rebound against Air Force, especially on its home field, but it is going to be a grind all evening. The Falcons defense is stout, ranking fifth in the nation with 288.3 total yards per game allowed. More impressive, Air Force is yielding just 184.1 yards per game through the air to rank 14th in the country. The Falcons will make life frustrating for the Wolf Pack aerial attack and NFL prospect QB Carson Strong.

Against the spread

NEVADA -1.5 (-110) is slightly cheaper and worth the play. The Wolf Pack look to bounce back after a close loss at San Diego State, and should be able to get things moving at home. However, it isn’t going to be easy, and the Falcons do not give up huge chunk plays like the Wolf Pack would like. Nevada wants those big downfield strikes from Strong to WR Romeo Doubs, but the opportunities will be few and far between.

Over/Under

The UNDER 52.5 (-110) is the lean in this Mountain West battle in Reno. The Under is 6-2 in the past eight on the road for Air Force, and an impressive 17-5 across its past 22 games overall. The Under is also 4-0 in the past four against winning teams for the Falcons.

As for the Wolf Pack, the Over is 5-2-1 in the past eight overall. However, the Under is 10-2-1 in the past 13 at home against teams with a winning road mark, and 34-15 in the previous 49 as favorites.
