2025 4-star OT Marcus Garcia has announced his commitment date

2025 4-star offensive tackle Marcus Garcia will announce his commitment on Sunday, April 14

Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko is very close to adding two more prospects to the Aggies’ 2025 recruiting class. Four-star offensive tackle Marcus Garcia, who received a prediction to land with the program last week, just announced his commitment date for later this month.

On Sunday, Garcia revealed that just a week from today, on Sunday, April 14, the talented Denton, Texas native will choose between Nebraska, Arkansas, Michigan, Penn State, Florida, and Texas A&M. Garcia is set to take an official visit to College Station on June 6.

Last week, Elko added a commitment from 2025 4-star defensive lineman Ladon Rink, becoming the fifth prospect to join the cycle and the second to announce that he will shut down the remainder of his recruiting visits outside of A&M, joining fellow defensive commit, four-star linebacker Kelvion Riggins.

On tape, Garcia consistently takes advantage of his 6-5 270-pound frame, starting at right tackle throughout his career at Denton HS, dominating in the run game. At the same time, his pass protection skill set will continue to improve.

According to 247Sports, Garcia is the 38th-ranked offense tackle in the 2025 recruiting class and the 59th-ranked prospect in Texas.

Note: Another favorite to land with the Aggies is 2025 five-star quarterback Husan Longstreet, who will also announce his commitment on April 14.

Texas A&M is predicted to land 2025 4-star OT out of Denton, Texas

Texas A&M has received a prediction to land 2025 4-star offensive tackle Marcus Garcia out of Denton, Texas.

Former 247Sports recruiting director Steve Wiltfong has unexpectedly transitioned to On3. As a result, his popular “Fong Bomb” predictions have found a new home though the information has remained the same.

On Monday, Wiltfong submitted a prediction for 2025 four-star offensive tackle Marcus Garcia, out of Denton, Texas. He is set to take an official visit to Texas A&M on Thursday, June 6, and has been connected to the program since receiving an offer in November.

After routinely having his way with defenders as an elite run-blocking starting right tackle during his 2023 junior season at Ryan High School, Garcia is predicted to land with the Maroon and White ahead of his summer visit.

As a dual sport athlete, also participating in track and field (discus), Garcia (6 feet, 5 inches and 270 pounds) is a mover of men in the run game. He acts as the lead blocker on stretches, counters and pin and pulls.

Three-star offensive lineman Joshua Moses is A&M’s only offensive line commit in the 2025 cycle.

According to On3, Garcia is the 171st overall prospect in the 2025 cycle, the 10th-ranked interior offensive lineman and the 30th-ranked prospect in Texas. Michigan, Arkansas, Penn State, Nebraska, Missouri, Florida and Texas Tech remain in the running.
