Travis Kelce said Taylor Swift making history at Grammys fuels his desire to win another Super Bowl

Taylor Swift’s record fourth Album of the Year win is inspiring Travis Kelce to win his third Super Bowl.

Taylor Swift made history at the Grammys on Sunday night, winning Album of the Year for her newest release, Midnight. It’s the fourth time Swift has won Album of the Year as she became the first artist ever to do so.

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce — who has been in a high-profile relationship with Swift for the last several months — commented on her unprecedented Grammys success during the Super Bowl 58 media night on Monday.

Kelce said her success fuels his desire to win some hardware of his own, namely his third Super Bowl title.

“She’s unbelievable,” Kelce said. “She’s rewriting the history books herself. I told her I need to hold up my end of the bargain and come home with some hardware, too.”

Kelce also said he has heard some of Swift’s upcoming album The Tortured Poets Department, which she announced during her Grammy speech and will release on April 19. However, he’s not divulging any secrets, according to ESPN’s Jeff Darlington.

Kelce is certainly not lacking in success on his end. The future Hall of Famer is considered by some to be the greatest tight end of all time, and in addition to his two Super Bowl rings, he’s a seven-time All-Pro, nine-time Pro Bowler and holds a number of NFL records.

He and the Chiefs will be looking for the hat trick as they play in their fourth Super Bowl in five seasons on Sunday.

Victoria Monet (rightfully!) walks away with 3 Grammys after puzzling 2023 MTV VMAs snub

MTV needs to be drafting a Victoria Monet apology. This is embarrassing for them.

Victoria Monet is winning at life, and at the 2024 Grammys she was rewarded for her incredible talent. Monet went home with three awards, including Best New Artist.

In case you were unaware, Victoria Monet makes music that floats. I’m talking about the 1960s and 1970s type of R&B music (with 1990s Aaliyah flare) that is so smooth you can’t help but groove to it and sing along at obnoxiously loud levels.

When Monet released On My Mama in June of 2023, ahead of her JAGUAR II album, the song quickly skyrocketed to the top of the charts. Victoria’s velvety voice, a spectacular sample of I Look Good by rapper Chalie Boy and a 2000s fashion-inspired video were a perfect combination.

(Warning: NSFW language)

On My Mama‘s success had fans clamoring for Monet to perform at the 2023 MTV VMA’s. But, according to Victoria, she was told that it was too soon.

Yet, MTV likely didn’t know that Victoria had been manifesting her come-up since she moved to Los Angeles in 2009 and her Grammy wins since 2013. Monet’s thoughts came to life on Sunday as she walked away with Best R&B Album, Best Engineered Album (Non-Classical) and Best New Artist.

So, though her flowers might have been delayed, they were not denied. In other words, she bloomed right where she was planted after the rain.

The 7 best moments from the 2024 Grammys including Tracy Chapman and Taylor Swift’s album reveal

Tracy Chapman, Joni Mitchell and Celine Dion are just some of the stars that made Sunday night memorable.

The 2024 Grammy Awards were one for the record books. Things kicked off with an incredible performance from Dua Lipa and never slowed down. We saw records broken, long-time icons take the stage to perform and present, singers breaking through for their first awards and a host that managed to make it a fun event throughout.

Oh, and Taylor Swift announced a brand new album that nobody expected.

Overall, it was a fabulous evening celebrating music from last year. Here are some of the best moments of the night.

Let’s just shut down the ‘Taylor Swift snubbed Celine Dion at the Grammys’ talk immediately

Stop it.

Hey, internet? Can we talk here?

Yeah, hi. We know you all like controversy, and particularly right now you like saying some wild things about Taylor Swift. So let’s take a second and shut down this “Taylor Swift totally snubbed Celine Dion at the 2024 Grammys” talk.

To recap: the legendary Dion surprised everyone by appearing on stage to present Album of the Year as she battles stiff-person syndrome, a neurological disorder that includes muscle spasms that affect everything from walking to singing.

After she revealed that Swift won the award for Midnights, she excitedly hugged everyone on stage, but she didn’t appear to say much or anything to Dion, who gave her the Grammy.

Now: did you catch Swift giving her a standing ovation just minutes earlier?

Or what about the idea that Swift might have been nervous about hugging her given Dion’s diagnosis? And that they hugged later on in the night?

So let’s pump the brakes here, OK?

The Chiefs tight end took note of Taylor Swift’s stunning look at the Grammys.

Travis Kelce might be a little busy right now traveling to Super Bowl 58 in Las Vegas with the Kansas City Chiefs.

But we do know that his Instagram account liked a photo of girlfriend Taylor Swift and her awesome look she sported for the 2024 Grammys. We’ve seen the couple support each other on the social media site a bunch.

It wasn’t just any photo, either. It was the lead in a collection of snaps from the red carpet posted by NPR. So that’s cool! Here’s the photo in question below and fans noticing who hit that like button on Sunday:

Celine Dion made a surprise appearance at the Grammys to present Best Album

Celine Dion!

Despite her recent health struggles, music icon Celine Dion made a surprise appearance at the end of Sunday’s Grammys ceremony to present the Best Album award.

The entire crowd stood to give Dion a standing ovation as she gave out the biggest award of the night to fellow icon Taylor Swift for her album Midnights.

“I’m happy to be here,” Dion told the adoring crowd before she gave out the award. “I really mean it from my heart.”

It’s always really heartening to see a beloved artist like Dion make a public appearance like this after news of a difficult health diagnosis, and she did a fantastic job helping close out the ceremony.

Dion won the Best Album Grammy back in 1997 for her record Falling into You.

We’re thrilled that Dion was able to make it to this year’s Grammys, and we hope we hear more from her in the time to come.

2024 Grammys: Joni Mitchell brought the entire room to tears with a beautiful performance

It’s probably easier to ask who didn’t cry at this point.

Joni Mitchell has been an icon in the music world for decades, and — for the first time ever on Sunday night — she performed at the Grammy Awards. Mitchell, who was introduced by singer Brandi Carlisle, sang her heartbreakingly beautiful song “Both Sides Now.”

The entire auditorium was silent, looking on with glistening eyes as the 80-year-old “Big Yellow Taxi” singer serenaded an enraptured crowd. As the camera panned the room, everyone from Dua Lipa to Beyoncé to Meryl Streep to Taylor Swift looked up in teary awe. It was a truly beautiful moment.

Everyone was in their feelings at her performance.

Jay-Z called out the Grammys for never awarding Beyoncé the Best Album honor during speech

Jay-Z wasn’t afraid to call the Grammys out for never awarding Beyoncé the Best Album award.

One of the strangest snubs in Grammys history has been music sensation Beyoncé never winning Best Album at the awards show.

While accepting a special honor for Global Impact from the Grammys on Sunday night with his daughter Blue Ivy Carter at his side, rap legend Jay-Z called out the Recording Academy for never recognizing Beyoncé in its biggest category despite making some of the definitive albums of the past decade-plus.

Everyone with a rooting interest in the Grammys has openly wondered the same thing, and her husband Jay-Z made sure to make that question known while accepting this career honor during this year’s ceremony.

It’s a very fair thing to mention!

Award shows like the Grammys are fundamentally flawed when trying to parse through the breadth of music, and rarely does the Recording Academy ever “get it right” with its top honors. However, Beyoncé’s impact on the art form will always extend far, far past an awards show like this.

We’re hoping Beyoncé will take home the Best Album honor one of these days, and we’re very much with Jay-Z that it should’ve happened already.

Taylor Swift announced a new album at the 2024 Grammys and everyone lost it

Shocked is an understatement. The Tortured Poets Department releases in April.

Taylor Swift won the Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album, and used her acceptance speech to totally break the internet. The win was the iconic singer’s 13th Grammy, a number that is important to Swift. After referencing that fact, the Eras Tour singer dropped a massive piece of news.

She has a brand new album coming out in April.

The Tortured Poets Department will be Swift’s 11th studio album, and will release April 19. Fans and Swifties were expecting a potential announcement of Swift’s re-recording of Reputation (Taylor’s Version), so this was a stunning surprise to say the least.

Unsurprisingly, the internet melted down at the news.

SZA delightfully rushed to the stage carrying her phone to accept Grammy award

SZA made it just in time to accept her Grammy after being backstage while the win was announced.

R&B star SZA won the Grammy for Best R&B Song on Sunday night for her hit single “Snooze,” but she was busy backstage when fellow musician Lizzo announced her victory.

SZA rushed to the stage to accept the award while holding her phone before giving Lizzo a big hug and delivering a delightful acceptance speech.

You just never know exactly when your name is going to be called at an awards show like this, and this was an incredibly relatable moment with one of the Grammys’ top-nominated artists this year.

We’re glad she made it out from backstage just in time to accept this very well-deserved honor.

What a fantastic moment for SZA and for all the viewers at home.

SZA’s acclaimed album SOS was nominated for Album of the Year among other honors, so it was very plausible that the R&B singer would return to the stage to accept yet another Grammy.
