Fantasy football: Where to draft Kansas City Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco

Analyzing Kansas City Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco’s 2024 fantasy football ADP and where to target him in fantasy drafts.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco was selected in the 7th round of the 2022 NFL Draft out of Rutgers, and in 2 seasons has established himself as the lead back in the highly potent Kansas City offense. He touched the ball 250 times last season for over 1,100 total yards from scrimmage. Below, we look at Isiah Pacheco’s 2024 fantasy football average draft position (ADP) and where you should draft him.

Entering 2024, RB Jerick McKinnon remains unsigned, giving Pacheco a strong RB1 ceiling similar to his 7 games without McKinnon last season. The Chiefs offense returns most of its offensive line, but durability is a concern for Pacheco, who underwent multiple surgeries after the 2022 season. Despite injury risks, Kansas City’s offense under Andy Reid and QB Patrick Mahomes consistently ranks among the top in total RB PPR points, making Pacheco a valuable fantasy asset.

Pacheco’s 23.67 ADP in redraft leagues puts him in the range of the 2nd to 3rd round depending on the size of the league. His ADP is the best on the Chiefs, just ahead of Mahomes (26.71) and TE Travis Kelce (28.89).

Among running backs, Pacheco’s ADP ranks 10th at the position, just behind Baltimore’s Derrick Henry (21.56) and Jacksonville’s Travis Etienne (19.54), and slightly ahead of Miami’s De’Von Achane (27.84) and Tampa Bay’s Rachaad White (31.20).

Where should you draft Pacheco?

Pacheco enters the upcoming season as a potential fantasy football gem, especially with McKinnon unsigned. Last season, Pacheco ranked 14th among running backs in PPR and non-PPR formats. His performance skyrocketed in the 7 games without McKinnon, posting numbers that would have ranked him 3rd at his position.

Currently, RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire (176.18 ADP) is Kansas City’s No. 2 RB, further solidifying Pacheco’s potential for RB1 production in the high-powered Chiefs offense.

The biggest question mark surrounding Pacheco is his durability. After undergoing surgeries for his hand and shoulder post-2022, Pacheco re-injured his shoulder last season, missed 2 games, and had a clean-up procedure. He also suffered a concussion late in the year. These injury concerns make him a bit of a risky pick.

That said, Pacheco’s upside remains undeniable. As the primary back for one of the league’s top offenses, he has significant fantasy potential, particularly in PPR leagues. Targeting Pacheco anywhere in Round 3 or beyond could be a great value pick, especially if McKinnon remains unsigned and Pacheco stays healthy. He’s a player with strong RB1 upside and is worth considering in your draft.

Fantasy football: Where to draft Indianapolis Colts QB Anthony Richardson

Analyzing Indianapolis Colts QB Anthony Richardson’s 2024 fantasy football ADP and where to target him in fantasy drafts.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

Indianapolis Colts QB Anthony Richardson is coming off a rookie season where he looked very solid in the games he played, but he was limited to 4 games due to injuries. Richardson played well in his 4 outings last season, accounting for 7 touchdowns and only 2 turnovers while averaging more than 5 yards per carry and 6.9 yards per pass attempt.

Below, we look at Anthony Richardson’s 2024 fantasy football average draft position (ADP) and where you should draft him.

Entering the upcoming season, he is expected to show why he was taken with the 4th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. He will look to build on a solid foundation that left Colts fans hopeful prior to his injury. If Richardson can stay healthy and take less hits, expect him to be a very productive QB on both the ground and through the air.

Where should you draft Richardson?

Richardson has a lot of value as a QB because of his dual-threat ability and the flashes he showed in his playing time a year ago.

The Colts also have some solid weapons surrounding Richardson, adding yet another solid receiver in Texas wideout Adonai Mitchell in the draft this year. Pairing him alongside WR Michael Pittman Jr., WR Josh Downs and RB Jonathan Taylor gives Richardson a lot of help and takes a lot of the pressure off of his shoulders.

These weapons will help Richardson have plenty of threats in the passing game which should help his completion numbers and even his passing yard numbers get a boost.

The big worry with Richardson is the injuries, which is a valid concern as he had an injured rookie campaign and is a physical runner and player overall. However, his experience with injuries in his rookie year may have helped him realize the physicality of the NFL, and may get him to slide more on QB runs so he’ll take less big hits.

Feel confident drafting Richardson as your QB1 as he will provide value as both a passer and runner. Once you get around the 4th-5th round in your draft and start seeing QBs fly off the board, grab Richardson quickly.

Fantasy football: Where to draft Houston Texans RB Joe Mixon

Analyzing Houston Texans RB Joe Mixon’s 2024 fantasy football ADP and where to target him in fantasy drafts.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

Houston Texans RB Joe Mixon enters his 8th season in the NFL after being spending his first 7 seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals, who drafted him in out of Oklahoma in the 2nd round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He was a Pro Bowl selection in 2021 and produced four 1,000-yard rushing seasons, including 1,034 last year. Below, we look at Joe Mixon’s 2024 fantasy football average draft position (ADP) and where you should draft him.

Entering 2024, he is expected to take another step in his career after joining the Texans in the offseason. The explosive veteran is intriguing in terms of fantasy value.

Where should you draft Mixon?

Mixon’s fantasy value should see a change this season entering a new location with a Texans offense led by QB C.J. Stroud. Houston will look to build on its momentum from last season with an offense that also added WR Stefon Diggs in the offseason.

Mixon will still mostly be a power back, whose shiftiness can create problems for defenses while his ability to receive out of the backfield will be another option for Stroud.

Draft Mixon in the 5th round and do not let him fall out of the 6th. The Texans will have a high-powered offense and Mixon will play a big role in that. When healthy, he’s good for 1,000+ yards and 10 touchdowns. In PPR leagues, he becomes more valuable demonstrated by his 50+ catches last season.

Fantasy football: Where to draft Tennessee Titans QB Will Levis

Analyzing Tennessee Titans QB Will Levis’ 2024 fantasy football ADP and where to target him in fantasy drafts.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

Tennessee Titans QB Will Levis was impressive during his rookie season last year. Levis didn’t kick off the season as the starter, but he eventually took over. The former Kentucky Wildcats standout was supposed to be a top-10 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft but fell to the 2nd round at No. 33 overall. His size and poise helped make him a welcome surprise for the Titans last season.  Below, we look at Will Levis’ 2024 fantasy football average draft position (ADP) and where you should draft him.

Levis has an explosive upside and could take a big step in his development. While it could be a long shot, Levis has the potential to be a top-10 QB in the league. The dual-threat signal-caller is intriguing in terms of fantasy value.

Among quarterbacks, Levis’ ADP puts him 31st at the position. He’s behind the Giants’ Daniel Jones (135.21), Seattle’s Geno Smith (130.43), Tampa Bay’s Baker Mayfield (123.82) and Minnesota’s Sam Darnold (123.64). Where should you draft Levis?

Levis’ fantasy value should get a boost this season from both him being the opening-season starter and the addition of players like RB Tony Pollard, who signed as a free agent after spending his first 5 seasons with the Dallas Cowboys.

Levis has a dual-threat nature and showed that off at Kentucky which should bode well for his fantasy value this upcoming season. Levis will also need to enhance his accuracy to really take that next step, completing just 58.4% of his attempts last season.

While Levis might not be a viable starter in 12-man, 1-QB leagues, he did have a 4-touchdown game last season and threw for north of 200 yards 4 times. He’ll have value in 2-QB settings and could bode well as a backup. The weapons are there for him to have success in Tennessee, but taking that next step forward in his development will be easier said than done.

Confidently take Levis at the end of a later round in the draft and have him as a backup because there is an outside chance he steps his game up drastically. The 13th round is about where he should be taken, and although not the best, he is certainly a competent backup fantasy quarterback. Take Levis in the 6th or 7th round of superflex or 2-QB leagues.

Fantasy football: Where to draft Jacksonville Jaguars RB Travis Etienne

Analyzing Jacksonville Jaguars RB Travis Etienne’s 2024 fantasy football ADP and where to target him in fantasy drafts.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Travis Etienne was drafted 25th overall in 2021 to pair in the backfield with his former college teammate QB Trevor Lawrence. These two had tons of success at Clemson together and hopes were high that it would transfer to the professional level. Etienne averaged over 5 yards a carry as a rookie but his efficiency waned in his sophomore season. Below, we look at Travis Etienne’s 2024 fantasy football average draft position (ADP) and where you should draft him.

Etienne is 25 years old and has proven to be durable and is expected to handle significant volume this upcoming season. Despite some minor efficiency concerns, he remains the focal point in Jacksonville’s offense with minimal competition for touches.

Where should you draft Etienne?

Etienne is getting drafted mostly in the middle of the 2nd round, a value pick with significant upside. By this point in fantasy drafts, you likely have a tier-1 wide receiver and now have the chance to grab a running back with top-5 potential at the position. Etienne’s skill set and situation position him for a breakout season.

While the Jaguars offense revolves around Lawrence, Etienne benefits from the attention paid to the team’s proven weapons like WR Christian Kirk and TE Evan Engram. Add in explosive threats like rookie WR Brian Thomas Jr. and newly acquired WR Gabe Davis, and Etienne should find plenty of space to operate in both the run and pass game.

Looking ahead to 2024, Etienne’s situation draws comparisons to RB Christian McCaffrey’s Year 3 breakout. While Etienne isn’t expected to produce CMC-like numbers, he’s primed for a big step forward, which could deliver a high return on investment at his current draft price. His top-5 upside and role in a rising offense make him a potential league-winner in this range of drafts.

Fantasy football: Where to draft Indianapolis Colts RB Jonathan Taylor

Analyzing Indianapolis Colts RB Jonathan Taylor’s 2024 fantasy football ADP and where to target him in fantasy drafts.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

Indianapolis Colts RB Jonathan Taylor enters his 5th NFL season after being drafted in the 2nd round of the 2020 NFL Draft out of Wisconsin. He led the league in rushing yards (1,811), rushing TDs (18) and rushing yards per game (106.5) in 2021-22, resulting in his 1st All-pro selection. He hasn’t cracked 1,000 yards since between injuries and contract disputes. Below, we look at Jonathan Taylor’s 2024 fantasy football average draft position (ADP) and where you should draft him.

Taylor is still viewed as a strong RB1 by many, but he’s only delivered the one elite season in 2021. Injuries have limited him, with Taylor missing 13 of his last 34 games. His fantasy production has dipped, averaging 13.3 points in 2022-23 and 15.6 the next season. While his talent remains undeniable, the presence of QB Anthony Richardson may further limit Taylor’s receiving work and touchdowns, capping his upside for 2024.

Taylor’s ADP ranks 4th among running backs. San Francisco’s Christian McCaffrey is not only the No. 1 back, but he’s the No. 1 player overall with an ADP of 2.00. Atlanta’s Bijan Robinson (6.20) is the No. 2 running back, while the Jets’ Breece Hall (6.88) checks in at No. 3. Where should you draft Taylor?

Taylor enters the upcoming season with high expectations, but recent performance suggests caution. After an elite 2021 season where he dominated as the overall RB1, Taylor’s production has dipped. He averaged just 13.3 fantasy points per game in 2022 and 15.6 last season. While those numbers aren’t bad, they fall short for a player once considered a top-tier RB.

Taylor’s efficiency has also declined. His yards per carry dropped to 4.4 in 2023, and his explosive plays have significantly decreased. He ranked 37th in percentage of carries going for 15+ yards, down from 9th in 2021. This dip in big plays has hurt his overall fantasy value.

The addition of Richardson at quarterback brings a mixed outlook for Taylor. Richardson’s mobility could help open up rushing lanes for Taylor, but it also presents challenges. Taylor is already limited as a receiver, and Richardson’s running ability could cut into Taylor’s goal-line opportunities, potentially vulturing touchdowns.

Currently being drafted as RB5, Taylor’s ADP reflects his potential, but it’s risky given his recent performance. Fantasy managers should weigh the risks against the cost and consider other high-upside options that may offer better value later in drafts.

Fantasy football: Where to draft New York Jets WR Garrett Wilson

Analyzing New York Jets WR Garrett Wilson’s 2024 fantasy football ADP and where to target him in fantasy drafts.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

New York Jets WR Garrett Wilson’s first 2 NFL campaigns resulted in 1,000-yard seasons. That’s with subpar quarterback play in both seasons. Imagine what he can do with an NFL-caliber signal caller. Below, we look at Garrett Wilson’s 2024 fantasy football average draft position (ADP) and where you should draft him.

As we head into the 2024 season, Wilson is easily considered a WR1 in most fantasy formats, and it’s possible he takes another step forward in his development as a pro.

Garrett Wilson’s ADP: 15.13

(ADP data courtesy of MyFantasyLeague.com; last updated at time of this publishing – ADPs continually change as more drafts occur)

Wilson’s 15.13 ADP in redraft formats makes him a top-notch WR1 for fantasy managers who might miss out on the top-tier targets in the 1st round. Wilson’s ADP ranks him 8th among wideouts, just behind Arizona rookie Marvin Harrison Jr. (15.12). Call me crazy, but between those 2 Ohio State products, I’d rather take the guy with a more proven track record in the NFL.

The top 10 wide receivers by ADP are Miami’s Tyreek Hill (4.06), Dallas’ CeeDee Lamb (4.74), Detroit’s Amon-Ra St. Brown (7.20), Cincinnati’s Ja’Marr Chase (7.75), Minnesota’s Justin Jefferson (7.79), Philadelphia’s A.J. Where should you draft Wilson?

Heading into the 2023 season, there was tremendous optimism surrounding the Jets. They had legitimate championship aspirations after landing likely Hall of Fame QB Aaron Rodgers. That hope last a few snaps into the season before Rodgers ruptured an Achilles’ tendon in a season-ending injury.

Despite the fact Wilson was forced to work with past QBs Tim Boyle, Trevor Siemian and Zach Wilson, none of which are on the Jets’ 2024 roster, the young wide receiver. He had a 2nd 1,000-yard campaign in as many NFL seasons, and fantasy managers are looking for a giant step forward in Year 3, as long as Rodgers, and Wilson, can stay healthy.

If you end up with Wilson as a WR1, you’re likely drafting late in the 1st round or in the middle of the 2nd round. Some fantasy managers in PPR leagues could, potentially, land Wilson as a WR2 in snake drafts after taking another top-tier option with their 1st pick.

Either way, with Wilson, you’re going to get a player with plenty of upside, and tremendous consistency.

Where should you draft Hill?

Hill is the gold standard among fantasy receivers. In previous seasons, taking a receiver No. 1 overall would be unheard of, but times have changed. “The Cheetah” is a speed burner who has racked up 111 or more receptions in 3 consecutive seasons, and he has 1,710 receiving yards or more in each of his past 2 campaigns in South Florida.

While Hill has some big-time numbers, there are still some who are not 100 percent sold on QB Tua Tagovailoa. However, love him or not, Tagovailoa has been finding Hill on a regular basis. There are some questions about Tagovailoa’s health, and should he go down, then Hill’s fantasy value would slip. However, Tagovailoa was limited to 13 games in 2022, and Hill still excelled.

If you’re drafting in the top 5 positions, Hill needs to be on your roster, especially for those in PPR formats. It’s a no-brainer.

Fantasy football: Where to draft Buffalo Bills WR Keon Coleman

Analyzing Buffalo Bills’ WR Keon Coleman 2024 fantasy football ADP and where to target him in fantasy drafts.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

Buffalo Bills WR Keon Coleman was taken with the 1st pick of the 2nd round in the 2024 NFL Draft. Drafted out of Florida State, Coleman will have big shoes to help fill with WRs Stefon Diggs (traded to Houston) and Gabe Davis (signed as free agent by Jacksonville) gone. Below, we look at Keon Coleman’s 2024 fantasy football average draft position (ADP) and where you should draft him.

Coleman is expected to be the No. 2 option of a highly-dynamic Bills attack. Ideally, he becomes a star in his own right, and given the offense he was drafted into, being a top-15 receiver certainly isn’t out of the question. The rookie is intriguing in terms of fantasy value.

Keon Coleman’s ADP: 66.82

(ADP data courtesy of MyFantasyLeague.com; last updated at time of this publishing – ADPs continually change as more drafts occur)

Coleman’s 66.82 ADP in redraft leagues puts him in the range of the 6th to 9th round, depending on the size of the league. While numerous Bills rank higher than him, he is slightly below that of teammate TE Dalton Kincaid (58.14).

Among wide receivers, Coleman’s ADP ranks him 30th at the position. Houston’s Tank Dell (66.63) is 29th just behind Pittsburgh’s George Pickens (58.89), Cincinnati’s Tee Higgins (58.23) and Baltimore’s Zay Flowers  (56.02). Coleman is slightly ahead of Chicago’s Keenan Allen (66.95), Kansas City’s Rashee Rice (67.70) and Washington’s Terry McLaurin (69.13).

Where should you draft Coleman?

Coleman’s fantasy value should get a boost as he will be pulling in receptions from QB Josh Allen. The Bills QB has thrown 29 or more touchdowns in each of the last 4 seasons. He’s an aggressive passer, and Coleman should bode well from that.

The Bills offense was changed under offensive coordinator Joe Brady last season which hurt Diggs’ value given they went to more of a rush-first approach. While Coleman is eyeing the No. 2 receiver spot and should be on the field often, he’s a wild card given his usage rate is relatively unknown.

He’ll be battling fellow wide receiver Khalil Shakir for targets. Running back James Cook will also play a role, as will Kincaid. There are numerous mouths to feed, but expect Coleman to be one that gets looked at consistently.

Draft Coleman after Kincaid and Cook, but don’t let him fall out of the 7th round in 12-team leagues. The upside in this offense is just too great to watch him slip that much.

Where should you draft Chase?

Chase’s fantasy value should get a boost this year with QB Joe Burrow returning healthy from a wrist injury that sidelined him last season. Dating back to their days at LSU, Burrow and Chase have shared a special connection that translates to highlight plays and touchdowns on the field.

Draft Chase as your WR1 and don’t let him fall out of the 2nd round in 10-team leagues. The Bengals offense runs through Chase. When healthy, he’s good for 90-100 catches and 1,000-plus yards. He’s even more valuable in PPR leagues because of how often he’s targeted.

Be aware, at the time of this publishing, Chase is still in contract negotiations with the Bengals. Some — including former Bengals star WR Chad Ochocinco in an interview with ESPN’s Adam Schefter — have speculated that Chase could sit out for the season if a deal is unable to be reached.
