Texas target Arch Manning had a stellar playoff performance for Isidore Newman.

Likely the most coveted football prospect at any grade level right now, 2023 five-star quarterback Arch Manning had a spectacular playoff performance on Friday.

Manning led No. 5 Isidore Newman High School to a victory over No. 4 Episcopal High School. The win advances Manning and his team to the to the Division-III semifinals, and their hopes to win a state championship are still alive.

Here are some of Manning’s best plays from the 37-6 win over Episcopal.

Manning, who 247Sports has rated the No. 1 overall player in the class of 2023, is the hottest name in terms of high school quarterbacks right now. He is from a family of football royalty, and seems to be following in the footsteps of his uncles and grandfather.

Texas is reportedly in the mix for Manning still, along with schools like Georgia and Ole Miss whose head coach Lane Kiffin was in attendance for his playoff victory.

Manning would be a perfect fit for Sarkisian’s offense, but it has remained unknown for the most part if Texas’ struggles have hurt their chances with him.

The Longhorns will have more opportunities to try and impress him, but surely Manning is focused on his season and leading his team further in the playoffs as the semis are the furthest he has taken Isidore Newman.

WATCH: Texas target Arch Manning dominates during 7-on-7 scrimmage

Arch Manning is one of Texas’ highest priority targets for 2023. When watching his arm talent throughout this 7-on-7, it’s obvious why.

The hype surrounding Arch Manning likely started when he first picked up a football.

The 2023 five-star prospect has every program salivating over him with hopes he will decide to don that schools respective uniform. Texas is one of the primary programs vying for his services and they have a legitimate shot to land the New Orleans native following his visit to the Forty Acres in June.

Manning has yet to make a decision on where he will be playing his college ball and the process will likely drag out for several more months. In the  meantime, he can be found crushing the hopes and dreams of opposing high school players in Louisiana.

The 6-foot-4, 208-pound signal-caller is a junior at Isidore Newman School and is hoping to lead his team to an elusive state championship as they have fallen short in Manning’s first two seasons.

Manning and his squad recently participated in a 7-on-7 matchup that truly displayed why he is heralded at the next level. His arm talent is unmatched.

Texas, Clemson, Alabama, Georgia and LSU each have a legitimate shot at landing the top quarterback in the country for the 2023 cycle. Manning’s relationship with Steve Sarkisian and his resume of developing quarterbacks may lean in Texas’ favor.

Taking a look at five-star quarterback Arch Manning’s 7-on-7 performance recently.

The Longhorns are in the market for a quarterback of the future that can propel the program to the blueblood level of elitness that they had grown accustomed to in the early 2000’s.

Steve Sarkisian and the Texas staff pulled out all the tricks for 2023 five-star quarterback prospect Arch Manning when he visited this past weekend. Not only did Manning get exclusive tours of unfinished football facility projects, but he also got to hang out with current and former players.

In a few years, that sentence will likely be the other way around, if Manning is even half the player of what he is projected to be.

The youngest of the Manning clan has qualities of each of his uncles and  grandpa and then some. He burst onto the high school scene and has been deemed the best quarterback in high school regardless of class, which for Longhorn fans certainly gives them high hopes that Manning will become a Longhorn after Quinn Ewers decommited.

Manning and his high school team had a 7-on-7 matchup that saw him shredding the opposing defense.

Take a look at some footage from the game below.

Manning and his team at New Orleans Isidore Newman are looking to take the next step as a program. Manning has led them to the playoffs twice, but have yet to make it to or win a state title. He led New Orleans Isidore Newman to a 9-1 record and Louisiana Division III state semifinal berth as a sophomore this past season. As a freshman, he led them to a 9-2 record and second-round playoff appearance in Louisiana’s Division III bracket.

Manning certainly has the skillset to do so, and he has the Longhorn fanbase rooting for him every step of the way.

Top 2023 quarterback dishes on Oklahoma, close to narrowing school list

2023 quarterback talks Oklahoma, looking to narrow down school list.

It goes in a rotation when discussing quarterback recruiting.

In 2019 the Oklahoma Sooners added No. 1 quarterback Spencer Rattler. The following year, Lincoln Riley added three-star quarterback Chandler Morris. In the 2021 class, they went big game hunting again with No. 1 dual-threat quarterback Caleb Williams. Given the trend, Riley will likely not add a top quarterback prospect in 2022, instead focusing on the 2023 class. One of the guys at the top being Los Alamitos quarterback Malachi Nelson.

Nelson is the No. 2 quarterback in the country according to 247Sports, he sits just behind Arch Manning. Nelson is reportedly close to narrowing his list of schools. Early indications are Oklahoma and Lincoln Riley are in the lead for his commitment.

“I love the Oklahoma offense and really like coach Riley as well. He’s personally recruiting me and we talk all the time. He’s a great coach and really knows what he’s doing. We’ve had a chance to get on zoom calls and go over the offense and I think it would be a great fit for me. The success he has had with quarterbacks over the last few years has been incredible. Not many schools have shown the ability to develop and get his guys drafted like he has so I definitely have a lot of interest in their program, that was a huge offer for me.” – Nelson on Oklahoma

Nelson is very much the caliber of quarterback that would do very well under Riley in Norman. Other schools listed among his shortlist thus far include the Sooners most bitter rivals, the Texas Longhorns. When discussing new head coach Steve Sarkisian and Texas, Nelson mentioned he had a really good relationship with Sarkisian. He also mentioned he trains with Texas quarterback commit Maalik Murphy, and that could sway his decision.

Nelson is expecting to narrow his list of schools to 10. He currently holds 23 offers. Texas, Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Florida, Ohio State and USC among the contenders.
