Taking a look at five-star quarterback Arch Manning’s 7-on-7 performance recently.
The Longhorns are in the market for a quarterback of the future that can propel the program to the blueblood level of elitness that they had grown accustomed to in the early 2000’s.
Steve Sarkisian and the Texas staff pulled out all the tricks for 2023 five-star quarterback prospect Arch Manning when he visited this past weekend. Not only did Manning get exclusive tours of unfinished football facility projects, but he also got to hang out with current and former players.
In a few years, that sentence will likely be the other way around, if Manning is even half the player of what he is projected to be.
The youngest of the Manning clan has qualities of each of his uncles and grandpa and then some. He burst onto the high school scene and has been deemed the best quarterback in high school regardless of class, which for Longhorn fans certainly gives them high hopes that Manning will become a Longhorn after Quinn Ewers decommited.
Manning and his high school team had a 7-on-7 matchup that saw him shredding the opposing defense.
Take a look at some footage from the game below.
Manning and his team at New Orleans Isidore Newman are looking to take the next step as a program. Manning has led them to the playoffs twice, but have yet to make it to or win a state title. He led New Orleans Isidore Newman to a 9-1 record and Louisiana Division III state semifinal berth as a sophomore this past season. As a freshman, he led them to a 9-2 record and second-round playoff appearance in Louisiana’s Division III bracket.
Manning certainly has the skillset to do so, and he has the Longhorn fanbase rooting for him every step of the way.
